Went there on a date last week. Drove by a few times but never went in before. When inside we were pleasantly surprised by the relaxing atmosphere. The waitress and host were both kind. Now the food... was really great. My guy is picky about sushi but he was very impressed and loved the sticky rice. As a vegan, I got the veggie bowl and it filled me right up. Underrated place imo in local Saginaw this place beats most sushi places with its clean and fresh environment. I had the "Kiss of Fire" which was delicious. Each special has its new and unique look and taste that you can try out every time u go there. The price is one to bargain though since it can be just a tad expensive but it's well worth it. Service wise I very much appreciated the owner usually hangs around and is very particular on where u have to sit. Speaking of that I'm guessing the owner has a reputation of being very "mean" or "rude" which is true but just FOLLOW what she want u to do and you'll be fine she is very respectful if you respect as her rules. My husband and I are big fish (raw and cooked) fans and have high expectations for sushi restaurants... Sushi 'N' was a very pleasant surprise! As far as nigiri and sashimi are concerned, the prices are reasonable for the large slices and the selection was great (we weren't fans of the squid, but for texture reasons). Quality was good and we did not have to wait long for our food. We liked that they give each table a small bowl of edamame and that some rice comes with the sashimi. Overall, a great spot and we certainly plan on returning. We love supporting small, family run businesses such as this and it looks like they are very popular for take-out. My one recommendation would be to use reusable chop sticks for dine-in customers, but that's my personal, eco-friendly preference. read more

Friday February 16, 2018 7pm I ordered a Teriyaki Salmon dinner, a shumai appetizer, & a bay island roll. The side salad was simple iceberg and a carrot slice, with a tasty sesame dressing. The miso soup was good and simple as well. The shumai was very basic. It seemed like the kind you buy frozen and just steam so not too pleased with that. The salmon was good not great. Now my biggest disappointment was the bay island roll. It's described as a California roll with baked scallops on top. As you can see in my photos my scallops were raw. They were completely pink and mushy, not opaque like they're supposed to be. Luckily I noticed it right away after only eating one bite. I'm aware scallops can be eaten raw but I notified the restaurant and they confirmed the scallops should be cooked. The woman I spoke to was apologetic so I appreciate that but very annoyed that I basically spent $13.95 on a California roll which I chose to not eat after being in contact with the raw scallops. It was in the end a waste of money. I ordered all my food to go and didn't notice the scallops til I'd gotten home. The restaurant itself is nice and quaint. Although it was a Friday night the small restaurant wasn't busy at all. After reading so many reviews about how great and fresh everything was I'm very disappointed. If you're a true sushi lover don't bother. read more

So the old lady that answered the phone and took my order, you need to learn some manners and how to listen to the customer taking the order. Very rude kept saying she couldn't hear me every time I would say something so that was strange as well. I went in to pick up my food and asked for "Hot Mustard" for my egg rolls and instead of saying "no" I got every time I would say "Hot Mustard" we have "Spicy Mayo" smdh. Now the good part I hand her my card now my card is fragile she tries the first time to put my card in the chip reader which it doesn't have! Best sushi I've had. Holy crap. The rolls are gigantic. My girlfriend and I came in at 2:30 despite knowing that they, for some reason, close from 3-4:30, then reopen. After a few minutes a woman working there asked if we were ready. We weren't, and she said something along the lines of "Order at once we close at 3." Well that was nice... we eventually ordered and got our food after a few minutes. The total wound up being $44 for two entrees and two rolls. The entrees were only about $8 each and came with a salad that had a mayo-base dressing... not sure exactly what was in it, since the guy who makes it said it's a secret. It's interesting and super good though. I got bulgogi donburi which is basically sliced beef marinated in Korean BBQ sauce on top of noodles and rice with some vegetables. Holy crap, it was great for a place that supposedly specializes in sushi. The beef is of nice quality and pretty plentiful too. The Kiss of Fire and Crispy Crunchy rolls were both also excellent. I preferred the Kiss of Fire roll (which was on special) marginally, but they're entirely different rolls. As others have said, the rolls are huge, and splitting two would have been plenty for a meal between two people. It's not cheap (I wouldn't trust sushi that was), but the rolls are probably the biggest I've eaten, and it's all fresh and delicious. Sushi 'N' is another very good example of the cliche "Don't judge a book by its cover." -- fantastic food all-around. read more

The green tea is fantastic. It's nice and earthy. The sushi is wonderful and nice big pieces. I seen some complaint that there is more rice than anything, and I have never seen that here. Any time I eat here, the rice to fish and other fillings pretty on spot. Just keep in mind that some rolls require more or less rice. It's like that with most sushi joints. This past time our bill came to 50.27. With that, we got four rolls, two cups of tea, edamame, and the complimentary soup and cream puff. So good. My best friend and I ate here and they even give you salad and edamame. we weren't sure how to eat them since they were salted. She tried crunching on one and then said, "I'm just going to put my failure in the salad bowl." I ate a small one whole. Come to find out, you shell them and just eat the peas. Tried Sushi 'N" take-out last night due to the positive reviews on Yelp. I ordered the Iron Man as recommended and very happy! For $14 it is more than enough for one person, and combined with a salad or other side dish, could make a nice meal for two (although I will NEVER get wife to ever try sushi). Note however, these are not your typical sushi rolls. They are bigger and come with various toppings. You eat them with utensils (fork for me, I have never been able to get chopsticks to work properly except to stab the food like a one-pronged fork). So if you are expecting small, eat with your hands type sushi, you will be disappointed. All my Saginaw friends ought to give this place a try. I highly recommend it! read more

My girlfriend and I went here for dinner and I have got to say, I'm impressed. The portions are huge. We got yellowtail nigiri, the size of the fish was about 2-3x the size I'm used to elsewhere. The iron man roll was recommended and it was good, but my favorite roll was the MSU. It's topped with kiwi, which is something I have never seen on sushi before, and it was so good I wouldn't let my sister steal any of it.
