Take out. Dried-fried green beans, eggplant /w garlic(on rice), Sichuan noodles, Ma Po Tofu, Salt-pepper tofu, veggie orange and tso chicken

I've been meaning to write this review for a bit. Hunan Restaurant is the only place I know of in the tri-cities that offers legit authentic Chinese food. They have a section of the menu called "Taste of Asia" that's full of delicious stuff. They also have a vegetarian chicken section with your favorite American-Chinese dishes. Try the Eggplant /w garlic sauce or the dried and fried green beans. Also the Ma Po Tofu(not vegetarian) is amazing. Cold Sichuan noodles are awesome as well if you like spicy stuff. On the vegetarian chicken side, we've had the orange, general tso, cumin, and Sichuan dishes and they are all very tasty. We've eaten there twice in the past couple weeks and it didn't disappoint either time. Warning... if you order off the Chinese section of the menu, it does take a little more time for your food to come out because they take longer to prepare.

Broccoli Beef Sizzling Steak Fried rice, sorry we ate the eggrolls and crab cheese to fast to get a photo.

Love this place. Been coming here for years. Food and people are amazing. Simply put. We come from Bay City all the time.

Onions and lots of celery left over.

Spouse loves the green bean chicken. I've have yet to find my go to dish here. Not much favor in most dishes. Veggies change, but I'm convinced they use the same brown sauce on every other menu dish. If you have an undeveloped pallet and enjoy bland food, this is the place for you.

Food is delicious, love the hot tea to start. Sizzlin rice soup rocks & main dishes have healthy portions to take home for later.

You can tell the chicken is real and fresh, but lacks in flavor sometimes. Depends on the day I think

It's a small unassuming place - that looks to do more takeout than dine in - but I was lucky and hit the small dining area on an off time. The dumplings and curry were AMAZING! The medium spice was just right for me - a pretty good kick but not too much. (If you're sensitive to spicey you'll probably want the mild!) And, added bonus- the owner was super friendly and I very much enjoyed chatting with her! The only thing wrong was my wife wasn't with me - so I didn't get to order a second entree to taste / share with her ! I hope my travels bring me back here some time!

Not much to look at pulling up, but some of the most amazing food inside. Only three small tables and I assume they do mostly carryout. We happened to Come at an odd time. 2:30 on a Friday which worked out perfect considering I heard them on the phone say they are often booked ahead for multiple hours. The cheese wontons and the potstickers were great, but the true masterpiece is the peppered sliced steak. We enjoyed it on the green curry but they offer as an option on many of their dishes. I would literally drive from Toledo, Ohio where I live to enjoy this place again.

This is a good choice for a slower-paced meal, but I would not recommend it for larger parties unless you are eating family-style. We arrived on a Friday night when it was full (about 6:30; they close at 8:00) and after waiting about 10 minutes for a table, there was considerable wait for our food as well. The server, who was so sweet, explained the kitchen operates with only a 4-burner stove. We watched a 6-top near us get served their entrees over a period of about 10 minutes, and then the last man waited for his about an additional 5. They were together, but not eating together most of the time, and it seemed awkward for them. Vibe and decor had great energy. We would definitely return!

My husband walked in the door at 5pm which was when they opened, he was first in line. He ordered me vegan options which he was advised would take 50 minuets. Fast forward 1 hour and 40 min later the food was finally done. (Another pick up order had actually left and requested a refund while my husband was waiting) I called to ask for a manager callback to find out why it took so long. Upon calling I spoke with Tina who answered said she was the owner and started to yell at me for the inquiry. She claimed Vegan food takes that long to cook. (Vegan food is just minus eggs and meat/fish in Thai dishes.) The yelling was unnecessary and unacceptable. The wait would have been acceptable if we had been advised. I'd recommend finding another Thai restaurant. Does anyone have any suggestions? **UPDATE - Call back from the real "Tina" to advise I don't know vegan or Thai food. She called "apologize" while saying why she was right after apologizing which isn't an apology. Apparently her mother was the one to answer the phone and yell at me originally.

Some seclusion, not chairs tightly in. Value: 1.5/5 The 4 items below were $35!!! I would rate this a 3 star expensive restaurant, generating higher expectations. Order Details: hot & sour soup: this tasted like a watered down chix noodle but with water chestnuts instead of noodles. Threw it out. Zero spicy, which isnt hot/sour soup. eggroll: it tasted like the oil and vat hasnt been changed in a long while. Szechuan shrimp with veggies. OMG a severe disappointment from a place that has authentic Chinese people working there. Fried rice: it was really white rice with some broth added. Thats not fried rice. I threw most of it out for squirrels and despite it being winter and cold- they didnt eat in 2 days. Shrimp: 1 size bigger than salad shrimp. Sauce: NOT Szechuan, it was a thick duck sauce and they threw in a couple peppers. Spice level: zero, despite the dish definition itself + me telling them I like spicy. Veggies: what a joke. There were 2 broccolis about .5" each and severely overcooked. My advice: call these dishes something dif, it is very misleading.
