Great service every time! Fresh offerings, with a lot of different choices and specialty fish. Casual environment that is perfect for groups up to 6. Note, you may have to wait for a table, so I recommend getting there as close to opening as possible. This is a very popular location for Sushi in Tucson.! I've captured a number of pictures in my review for you to see the delicious offering that we have tasted- From sashimi, nigiri to rolls!. One of my favs!

Visited a couple days ago with a friend, we both had the lunch special. The miso was very good and both rolls tasted perfect! The staff was lovely and attentive, and the restaurant itself is very comfortable inside! Always love coming here!

It's been a minute since I've been here, sushi being expensive and me usually eating a lot I've been doing the all you can eat places. I was very happy to be back and this platter was just enough for me. The service is good and the sushi is terrific!! It's small clean and easy to get to. It was super crowded on a Wednesday and I looked at everyone's food as always, I look and ask questions all the time and my friends are better about being annoyed with me. Usually I've met really nice people doing that. Needless to say the food atmosphere and service make the place!!

So the craving this evening was sushi! I acquiesced and let my host decide where we were going to go ! We had a lobster roll , and awesome roll , and a tempura roll. As far as sashimi we had tuna , salmon, scallops , and yellowtail! The sushi was delicious , the service was a little to be desired. Next time I'm hitting the sushi bar ..

It's a cozy spot located at a strip mall. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. The service was fast and the sushi was really good. The only thing that could improve would be to time when the food comes to the table. The sushi came out before the appetizer and the teriyaki came out much later than the rest.

Very good service, small but nice & neat place, easy parking. Delicious agedashi Tofu and sushi rolls. The rice in nigiri is kinda too much so the fish portion on it is small.

Chirashi bowl was a beautiful presentation of chef's choice sashimi over rice. Very fresh. Friendly service.

The service was great! The sashimi was great according to my brother, but the rolls (tempura and soft shell crab) were rolled a bit loose. Definitely was busy and had good music

It's great if you want to wait 45 mins. The sushi chef is good , but the vibes are creepy, west side , snowbird dorks and dumb .

Very small with very limited seating. No where to sit and ended up leaving. Will try again, maybe not during lunch rush.

This was not what we expected but the staff was friendly and 1/2 patrons at the food hall were eating sushi. The stalls have big energy today and lots of patrons are searching for a seat. Why not give them a chance? The menu is fairly varied for a small pop-up with traditional and deep fried sushi rolls. The female wait staff is handing out egg drop soup samples to everyone, ever those eating pizza and gyros. Looking around, these rolls are huge. We chose the Sonoran roll with shrimp tempora, spicy tuna, spicy crab topped with seared salmon and yuzu sauce. This roll was flavorful and spicy. Another roll was the Samurai with shrimp tempora, cream cheese, avacado wrapped in soy paper deep fried and covered with spicy crab / shrimp mix baked in a spicy aioli and eel sauce. This was our favorite roll with a pop in the tempora shrimp and an uncious taste coupled with a bite. Our third and final roll was the heart attack. Another spicy roll with shrimp tempora, avacado, cream cheese topped with jalepeno, spicy crab and chef sauce. Again, another good roll and a ton of food. This food mall is in an unassuming neighborhood with a smiling server who is hustling like crazy. The sushi was good, unique and tasty. It was a huge amount of food. Give this hard working staff and chance, she is enthusiastic and working hard. To the staff at Samurai Sombrero who are working hard and obviously, not a trained sushi chef. To the public, take a chance, give Samurai Sombrero a try and judge for yourself.

The menu seems a bit more fusion than traditional but a good balance of pushing boundaries without trying too hard. We made a reservation for lunch on a Sunday but were only one of three parties. The ambiance inside is cute and cozy and I'm sure the patio is nice during the cooler months. We ordered quite a bit but our favorites definitely were the pork belly appetizer, the hafu roll, and the neo-genesis roll. I'd love to come back and try their ramen.

Walked in, immediately greeted and sat at the bar, our request. The hostess also our cocktail and beer server. Hubby had a delicious clarified cocktail which was absolutely yummy but at $18 a pop for a good four drinks and it's gone cocktail, ok. I know they take time to make. I had a $10 Sapporo draft. We then ordered two pork Bao Buns, two sushi rolls, the Shiro Maki and the Tataki Maki. Both really good, really well rolled, not an abundance of rice either. I am obsessed with Ramen, I decided to order the house Ramen, the Obon, without the Bonito flakes because I'm not a fan. Looked good when it came, I just wasn't happy with it. It lacked something, umami, a well developed broth, who knows, I just know it wasn't what I normally like. It gave me heartburn from hell too. Overall, $150 later I left somewhat dissatisfied and disappointed. For a Sunday, at noon, four tables worth of patrons. Not loud, not super quiet, nice ambiance. I doubt that I'll go back, if we do, it will be for their $22 rolls of sushi.

I opted for the #3 lunch special (3 pieces of sushi and a roll + miso soup) for $14. All reasonable, given that it's sushi, but I'll be honest, this still-growing-boy needed a bit more after that! Staff was attentive to all entrees and drinks (refilling my friend's diet coke 3 times!) and had zero problem with doing 4 separate checks too. Feb 7 for two Hamachi Kamas ($16/each) and one Chirashi ($30) to go. These Kamas came with salad, miso soup, rice and half orange. Well salted and peppered to perfection. Chirashi was similar with abandon of fresh sashimis and rice. (see photos below) Their sushi boat ($59) is always a delightful feast for multiple people. Their servers are very friendly and attentive to all customers too. I highly recommend this restaurant to all sushi lovers. (Other Note: Ordered same dishes from Kazoku sushi on Feb 3rd because Sushi Cho was closed. Their Hamachi kamas were much smaller, charred, no garnishes and more expensive ($18).
