My husband and I have eaten in the dining area and it is fresh and very good. Tonight we are in the Hibachi room. He had the filet combo with shrimp and I had the NY Strip combo with salmon. His filet was very tender and the shrimp was very tender as well. My NYstrip was not as tender but tender and flavorful and the salmon was very good. We left with a $60 bill which included a 15% tip. You get soup, salad, rice, noodles, veggies and your meats. A very good deal and entertaining cooks. The kids at our table were having a blast. I highly recommend it. read more

As a traveler who gets around the world, I can tell you that this is one of the best in-land sushi places around. The owner is a young pleasant woman who is quite attentive to her customers. I can also say the same for the rest of the staff who I was able to interact with on my few trips to this place over the past week. The fish for my nigiri(salmon, tuna and yellow-tail) was fresh and cut wonderfully to fully cover its rice base. The two specialty rolls I ordered were also full of fresh ingredients and I could tell that care was taken to accentuate the presentation on the plate. The menu offers all your standard sushi fair from California rolls to Philly rolls and incorporates some great local specialty rolls. I don't recall seeing Temaki rolls on the menu but that's not really my thing so I could have just missed it. The price is spot on and I cant remember ever receiving more for less in my travels(even in Japan). read more

I laughed when I read "best sushi in Bartlesville!", because this is the ONLY sushi in Bartlesville. The vegetable tempura is awesome, as well as the wontons and the Pink Lady roll. The appetizers are really a draw, they're VERY inexpensive and really good. You can get better sushi at Yokozuna or In the Raw in Tulsa, but it's definitely better than Sushi Train. It is definitely not the best sushi I have ever had. The service is wonderful: they are always friendly and sweet when I go in, and they are VERY quick. I placed a takeout order today and she told me the wait would be five minutes! I eat here a lot because I'm a big sushi fan and this is the only option in Bville. They could get away with being decidedly mediocre since they're the only place to get sushi, but they are actually pretty good. The service is 5/5, the food is 3 or 4 depending on what you get. Avoid the house salad, though. It's like.. iceberg lettuce in a tasteless watery sauce. read more

I've been to plenty of places out west - and although there are some good places, they over charge you and if its a buffet- theyll make you wait forever for your next roll. I hesitate to write this review because every one of the other reviews (at this time of this writing, there are 10) is a 5-star review and that makes me "that guy." Worse, I'm "that guy from out of town." And I don't like being that guy who came into this nice little town and disparaged the food the locals love (all but 1 of those other 10 reviews are from someone who is listed as being essentially a local). But it is what it is and while I could just keep it to myself, the point of Yelp reviews is to share honest opinions in the hopes of helping others. Maybe I caught them on a bad night; I certainly wish them much success and I'll be perfectly happy if my review here always remains the only one that isn't glowing. So with all that said: for me, Sushi One was simply bad. For what it's worth, I don't consider myself a sushi snob and I only eat rolls because they're what I enjoy most. However, I do have a good sense of what it is that I like as far as rolls are concerned and so the issue isn't that I ordered rolls that I wouldn't have liked if they were prepared elsewhere: without a doubt, Sushi One did a bad job with these rolls. I had the Double Tempura roll and the Phoenix roll and both were bad. The Double Tempura roll was pretty much tasteless. The Phoenix roll, by virtue of the sauce, had more flavor but it still wasn't good. And both rolls had the wrong consistency. I had fully expected to order another roll but I beat it out of there as soon as I could. Then I went over to Braum's and got some ice cream...which wasn't all that stellar either (I believe that's tantamount to sacrilege to Oklahomans and maybe that simply says it all: maybe what I like and what those from around here like are just different things). read more

Update: Went in again today, after 8 months, the wife and I figured it was time for a re-try... we shouldn't have bothered. We both ordered the 'buy three' to get a wide range of rolls, and every. single. one. had something(s) seriously wrong with them. I ordered the California Roll, Philly Roll and the Spicy Salmon Roll. The wife had the Alaska, Hurricane and Spicy Yellowtail, though I can't really register an opinion on those, as I only tried them once each. Across the board, the rice was somewhat overcooked, though certainly sticky enough, and very, very wet. The California was the most tasteless California I've ever tried. The crab was some strange off-color... not anywhere near white, but darkened and mushy in consistency. The only flavor I got out of the roll was from the wasabi and soy sauce. The California rolls from Hunan Super Buffet here in Bartlesville have more flavor. The Philly was certainly more flavorful than the California, but only due to the massive amount of cream cheese. So much so that the only other flavor to be made out was soy sauce, when used. The Smoked Salmon in the roll was, for some damn reason, mush. I could lightly touch it with my finger and it would separate from itself. Edible, but not on par with anything I've had in Norman, OKC or Tulsa. Not even going to try to compare to what I've had out in NC. Now onto the Spicy Yellowtail... this was the only slightly redeeming roll of the lot. Although not in the least spicy, at least the Salmon wasn't mush and there was some flavor to be gleamed outside of the soy sauce. Nonetheless, very mediocre. The Miso Soup was no doubt purchased at walmart alongside the 2 cups worth of salt added in, with mayyyybe a tsp worth of tofu; just two very small blocks. Last time, we thought we may have just caught them on a bad night, and, while I still believe that to a degree and it was certainly better this time... this place just produce BAD sushi, especially when they can be outdone by local CHINESE BUFFETS. The two most redeeming qualities of Sushi One have nothing to do with their food: the service is alright, and the place is clean. read more

I stopped in on my way home from the Washington County Clerk's office. Sushi One was recommended by someone in the office. The sushi was really good. I had the Tulsa roll. It was also bigger than I expected. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed my dinner. I will be stopping in next time I go through Bartlesville. My family and I went there for dinner tonight, ordered the California Rolls which are always good some other rolls and Teriyaki Chicken. That way we can all taste a little bit of everything. Half way through the meal I went to take a bite of the chicken and noticed there was a piece of shrimp in it, I moved it aside and one of my family members ate it and then low and behold another piece of shrimp was found, normally this wouldn't be a problem except for the fact I'm allergic to shrimp. I notified the waitress and she was so apologetic, I understand mistakes happen. She then went to get a women which I assume was the manager or owner and she preceded to argue with me that shrimp always comes with the chicken teriyaki (since when does shrimp come with a chicken dish, unless specified) I notified her that I was allergic to the shrimp, she didn't care. NO Apology, NO Nothing!!, she was rude. I wasn't asking for anything, I just wanted to notify her of the mistake. I will never eat there again. Very disappointed. read more
