The sushi and drinks were really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really liked the look of the inside of the restaurant, high ceilings and big windows.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Sushi was just okay in my opinion. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and the "light my fire." I really enjoyed the light my fire, bit of kick. We also ordered a ahi tower which wasn't the best. It was a little difficult to eat in the way it was displayed. I felt the rolls were kind of expensive at $16 a piece. Overall, not bad but not necessity somewhere I would come back to.

Really good happy hour deals! $4 draft beer and $6 sushi - and the classic sushi is not skimpy sushi. Really enjoyable and will def come back! [[HIGHLIGHT]]No issue sitting at the bar around 5:30pm Saturday[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I recently dined at Sushi Rock after hearing great recommendations, and it did not disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lively atmosphere and attentive service created the perfect setting for a fantastic evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drinks: We ordered the White Rabbit and Mary Jane's Last Dance, both refreshing and delightful. Grub: Wonton Chip Nachos, Crisp Rice & Spicy Tuna, Steamed Buns. To finish, the Tempura Ice Cream was the perfect sweet ending. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, Sushi Rock impressed me with its tasty food and vibrant vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely worth a visit.

Sushi Rock is a great late-night food spot in Arlington--especially if you grab a seat at the bar, where they offer discounted dishes from 9 PM to close. Despite the deals, the portions are generous and the quality is still on point. I recommend the kalbi tacos and rolls like the shrimp tempura and tempura sweet miso. Perfect for satisfying sushi cravings without the usual price tag. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great vibe for a casual night out![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I go to sushi rock TOO much!! One of my favs go-to spots in Arlington. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a great happy hour, but only at the bar area which is limited seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their sushi is some of the best, but has other food options for my boyfriend. Great cocktails! Quick service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a huge outdoor seating area in the summer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Regular pricing can be a bit pricey.

I love this place so much! Happy hour is great and pretty decent offerings on the happy hour menu. The service has always been exceptionally pleasant and I have nothing inherently negative to share about this spot. In fact, it's one of my go-to spots for sushi and a happy hour. There is one thing I'd recommend them removing from the menu - the wonton nachos. They are simply not good. I've tried them twice - to confirm if I didn't like them or if the first time I had them wasn't an off day. I've concluded that they're simply not good. I'd encourage the team to re-work them a bit or remove them. They're dry & there's nothing exciting about them - even with the up charge of adding a meat to them (I added chicken). Everything else is amazing!! I really enjoy coming here.

Must go for happy hour! Good portions for HH and the drink deals are amazing, especially Thursdays- $4 off signature cocktails. The edamame is a good size and the tempura is a lot! (For happy hour) service is amazing and our server was very nice and attentive. The crispy rice spicy tuna can be a two-biter. So good and portion is bigger than expected

This place is overhyped. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They sat us at high tops without sharing that other people would also be seated at the table, which was awkward as you can imagine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food didn't make up for it either. Crab roll was disgusting and we had to send it back. Avocado + Salmon roll was really mid. The Shrimp tempura was the only thing I slightly enjoyed. Service was slow and inattentive. I will say the happy hour prices are a good deal, but honestly not worth it. At several points staff would walk past us with food that smelled so raw it felt like we are at a fish market. Would not recommend this place and do not plan on coming back.

    Quail shooters. Fresh and delicious!

I wish I would have taken pictures but I was busy enjoying the food and the interactive staff. First I will say I from Las Vegas and I travel a bit so I am well exposed to good food. I visit the DMV area several times a year and always look to try new places. The staff at Sushi Rock were all great. Great conversation and quick to bring food and drinks. I didn't sit right in front of the sushi chefs but others seemed to be interacting well with them too. The bartender was great conversation made great drinks. The quality of the drinks and everything I ate were amazing. Both the bartender and the manager gave food and drink recommendations that did not disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The scenery inside was modern and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also enjoyed the great music playlist they had going.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sorry I only took a picture of the qual shooters (I ordered multiple rounds) Overall, great food, great presentation (food and drinks), great service and good prices.

Spontaneously hopped in for happy hour (which is only at the bar, by the way) with a couple friends. Had a sushi craving, but know that I did not go in with the expectation of having authentic or fresh sushi. That being said, I scarfed down the eel & avocado roll and tempura roll with sweet miso and my friends enjoyed their crispy rice spicy tuna dynamite rolls. Service left something to be desired, as the bartenders were not proactive and didn't crack a smile. We never got served waters either, which I'd imagine is standard at a food establishment.

We had a great time at Sushi Rock! I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the fish, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the rock n roll theme.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Nice ceviche (with thin crispy wonton skins) on a hot summer day. Lovely sashimi over rice (it's chirashi). Enjoyed their simple pork ramen (thin noodle) if a bit expensive for what it is. Sushi Rock remains fashionable (beautiful patio outside, see my photo); tall ceiling and modern and arty inside. I ordered on UberEats for self pick up but had to wait for a long time even after arrival (and after the app says "your food should be ready"). That's the estimate Sushi Rock itself gave. Not busy at all (not meal time) here. So what took so long? They were not proactive either even after I arrived. I was there and no one bothered checking on my order or coming to give me any update. I had to go up there to tell them I have been waiting for a long time which is when they finally finished packing up my order.

Ask the Community - Sushi Rock

Do they have an ayce menu?

    No :/

Are they still doing happy hour?

Yes they do, but typically you have to sit at the bar!

Has happy hour extended to the outdoor area while the inside is closed?

Sadly not! I called and asked the other day and they said happy hour is only inside.

Is there happy hour for food or drinks?

Yes, for both! 3-7 everyday and then again at 10pm just for food. Only at the bar though.

Does Sushi Rock have an all-you-can-eat option? If so, what is the price?

I never saw that option, would be awesome though

The food at Sakaki is full of flavor and the prices are reasonable for the amount. I think, after being twice, that the AYCE is not as worth it for me personally because I'm not a big eater, but it's totally worth it if you want a lot of variety and you have a good appetite. I really liked the rolls in particular. The service was excellent- it was a nice balance of coming over once in a while to ask how we were doing without coming over too much. The vibes are awesome with a really nice interior- definitely a nice place to go for a date,!just to go with friends to have a nice meal, or even to grab a meal alone since the center has a large area for single seating. Fyi- for the AYCE menu, note that once you put in an order for a round, you can't order for another 10 min so be sure to order enough at a time. Also, there is a time limit to the AYCE (I think it was 90 min). This'll definitely be a place I go to regularly in the future!

If I'm honest, whenever I…read moreshow up to an AYCE I'm always skeptical with the quality of the food, especially when it comes to sushi but wow, I was blown away how great it was for AYCE. The set- up and the ambiance is very comfortable and sleek/modern with the main sushi chefs in the middle and the tables around them. The tables have waiters and a tablet at the table like most hot pot/kbbq places and you can order everything off of there. I have only been here once and wanted to try to low tier without going "all in" on the top tier option of diamond without knowing how the basics would taste. Let me say if the bottom tier was as good as it was, I'm excited to come back to try the next tier! Anyway, the basic tier already comes with a lot of sushi options and should be enough for those who are craving just sushi. All of the cuts of nigiri was great, all tender with great flavor, but what stood out to me the most was actually the yellowtail, super buttery and great flavor. The eel was also a top choice! All the rolls were good basic to the fancier ones, I would say that most of the bang for the buck would be the nigiri. The rolls are good but a little too much rice for me personally. The appetizers, didn't spend too much time on them but the chicken karaage was solid and the seaweed salad was my two favorite. Overall, super solid for the price and I'd totally want to go again to try more of their options! 100% recommend!

My husband and I dined in for the first time today, and we were both very impressed with the atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. Hayden was our server, and he showed exemplary hospitality skills. He made us feel welcome, checked in on us frequently without feeling overbearing, and made sure we knew the AYCE menu is double-sided. Speaking of, the AYCE is such a great deal! I used to live in Vegas, where AYCE sushi is very common. Unfortunately, for most of them, since the focus is on quantity, the quality suffers. This is not the case for Toryumon! Maybe it's because it isn't strictly an AYCE place. You can absolutely order items a-la-carte from their regular menu (as I had done previously for take-out). The items are exactly the same whether you order from the regular menu or the AYCE. Same quality, and, this is important, same size! Yes, you will receive a FULL-SIZED bowl of ramen if you order it from the AYCE menu. Not all of the menu items have descriptions, and I was surprised by some of them (not in a bad way, just wasn't what I was expecting), such as: The avocado salad. I was expecting it to be cubes/chunks of avocado tossed with a dressing. What came out was a lettuce salad with sliced avocado on top. The dressing was good, slightly sweet. It was a good salad, just not at all what I was expecting. The sweet potato sushi roll is served warm, the sweet potato is deep fried, and there is eel sauce on top. The sweet potato rolls I had other places were not fried, and served cold. I really enjoyed this one! Everything seemed very fresh, not a hint of wilting greens or brown avocado to be seen! I am so grateful to live right down the road from this amazing establishment. If you enjoy ramen, sushi, and other Japanese items, def give them a try! There are bathrooms available for guests. What my stars mean: 5 is outstanding, memorable, a place to write home about! A must-experience. Someplace I would love to recommend to tourists, and visit myself again and again. 4 is great, somewhere I'd love to return again and again. Back-up recommendation for tourists. 3 is good. A solid option if I am in the area. I may recommend to locals, but would probably leave it off my list of recommendations for tourists. 2 is ok, but only because it a great value, unique, and/or convenient. 1 means I would not return.

Instead of actually greeting me, and asking me to give them a moment, she looks up at me (not even the staff member on the phone) and raises her finger at me??? The audacity of that was plenty of fuel for the one star. As if that weren't enough, when the associate that was on the phone was done, her colleague looks at me and asked what I "needed"...I chose to tell her I was there to dine, again, standing there alone, and her response was, "I'm not supposed to automatically know that." Representing the restaurant in this manner let me know she didn't desire my business, or presence. I promptly let her know that I'd pass on dining there, and left your establishment. The layout is interesting -- there's an upstairs when you walk in, but the sushi bar and a good bit of seating are downstairs. The menu is pretty straightforward with a mix of hand rolls, appetizers, specialty rolls, nigiri/sashimi, and traditional rolls. They also have a few solid combo deals, though I usually prefer trying a variety of items instead. Service was quick, which is always appreciated at a sushi spot. We ordered a few specialty rolls, two traditional rolls, and a couple orders of sashimi, all served together on one platter. The rolls were a great size -- filling without being overly large. The sashimi was fresh, and the traditional rolls really balanced out the meal nicely. The flounder and tuna sashimi were both excellent, and the California roll made with real crab was simple, fresh, and really satisfying. The total came out somewhere in the $70 range, so after tip and splitting it between two people, it was about $40 each to try multiple rolls and sashimi. Definitely fair pricing for the quality and amount of food. This spot had been on my list for a while, so I'm glad I finally made it over. Whenever I go, I always order off the most premium tier and while it is pricey at $98 per person, I believe that it is completely worth the money. For endless rounds of high quality wagyu, sushi, ramen, etc., it is beyond easy to get your money's worth here. I've actually done the math totaling up how much we ate and what it would've been al le carte and it totaled to $400-500 total for two people so this is well worth it. The items I would highly recommend is everything off their wagyu tier, the wagyu fried rice, and their specialty rolls. Don't forget to end the meal off with some dessert as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the matcha crepe cake. This place is very modern and with an amazing staff that is super attentive. Water cup was always filled, they came back quick to ask what we wanted next (no waiting around necessary), cooked our meat perfectly for us. Overall, while this wouldn't be my everyday/daily dining option due to the price, it is my most favorite place to splurge at for any special occasions. It is definitely a must try and I will be looking forward to the next time I come
