Not what I ordered but it's what I got

The 2nd pic is what I asked for and 1st is what I got . Very disappointed! I showed the photo and the guy said ok. I just think if you know it wouldn't look like that you should say something before saying ok No sauce no flavour , very disappointing

While I would not take someone out on a date here, this is a solid takeout option that's affordable and the quality is decent for the price. I've been getting sushi from these guys for years and I know the value that I get for my money. You're not going to get the best-tasting fish or the freshest fish. Their salmon is farmed, not organic. Their rice is mediocre at best. Guess what? Their prices reflect that. If you want genuinely good sushi, I'd go to Fukui on Bayview, but if you want affordable sushi of acceptable quality around Mount Pleasant and Davisville, you can't go wrong with Sushi Supreme.

Nice little sushi spot on Yonge. A La Carte menu, portions are large. Service was great and friendly. Will definitely return here

Gold dragon roll 3.5/5 Chicken butter yaki 1.5/5 Tempura u-don 2/5 The lack of Asian patrons and the Chinese (not japanese) waitstaff gave us pause as we entered this non traditionally (and non japanese) decorated sushi store. It feels like it used to be a small bistro or bar. The gold dragon roll came very very quickly. Warm and fresh, the shrimp tempura was fried too lightly and was not crunchy, and the roll could have used a bit more sauce. From bad to worse. The udon came. The tempura was bland without the soup, and was overpowered by the soup base when dunked. The noodles were overdone and soggy. The the butter yaki came. A platter of low cost ingredients (onions, carrots, zucchini, and broccoli) with a small portion of chicken that had only the slightest hints of being grilled. It looked very bland. How wrong I was. It wasn't bland at all. It was super-salty, I'm guessing they used salt and salted butter with garlic salt and just a dash of salted pepper. I am not certain whether the terriyaki sauce was too sweet or just seemingly so after the overdose of salt. It seems our initial hesitation was well founded. I am saddened that yelp has failed me so for the first time. N.B. If I were to review Russian or portugese or African cuisine for example (just not Asian), it would not be 100% reliable as I have not sampled enough to develop a relavent palette. As such, please read the other reviews with a grain of salt. (which the restaurant provides in abundance) Overall value for money Service NA/5 Cleanliness 3.5/5 After meal satisfaction 2/5

Good food your buck! Got the supreme bento box $10 and it came with alot of food that I was stuffed silly. Service is fast and food is pretty good, especially for how cheap it is! There's an upstairs with more tables so don't be sad if it looks busy downstairs! Tea is free, just FYI Oh and a nice treat is complimentary oranges for dessert. Nice touch ;)

    Not so Crispy Chicken

Very disappointed the last few times from Sushi Supreme. My family and I have been coming here for nearly 2 decades. This was our go to neighborhood spot for sushi, but not any more. Not sure what has happened here, perhaps new management. I have noticed a decline in the quality over the past couple of years. I'd like to think that these were isolated cases, but it has been consistently below grade, where I cannot issue a forth/fifth attempt. On my last and final visit, to start, the overall look, taste and texture of the sushi in general was just off, especially the Skydome roll. It appeared to have been made well in advance of my ordering. Just tasted old, almost garbage like. Completely off-putting. Didn't look even remotely close to fresh. The sushi pizza, same deal. cold, mushy rice and stale as if sitting around for several hours. The crispy chicken needs a new name. "Soggy chicken"? Not crispy in the slightest. This dish is about half the size of what it used to be and 20-25% of the chicken has been replaced with chunks of pineapple. Disgrace! Sorry to say that I will not be going back.

This is one of my favorite Sushi restaurants in Toronto (another one is Sushi Rock). They have the most delicious sushi, also vegetarian options that are so good! I love their Miso soup that comes with food, and my favorite is Mango-Avocado salad that has delicious dressing. This salad is loaded with mangos and avocado, not like other places where I have had few pieces of each. I highly recommend coming here!

2.5 tops We picked up some sushi for the night. Tried their fried calamari, crunchy spicy salmon roll (6 pieces) and green dragon roll (8 pieces). Calamari- $5.50 Salmon roll- $5.50 Dragon roll- $7.95 FOOD itself was meh, nothing exceptional I'm afraid. The fried calamari was a bit chewy and the dragon roll had too much cucumber. Very reasonable PRICES and it's all fresh, made in front of you. But the prep stations and ordering areas were kind of MESSY/dirty. Made my stomach turn a bit. Also must have caught them at a BUSY point cause they said it would be a 10 to 15 wait and it was 25. They apologized for the wait which goes a long way. I RECOMMEND- the crunchy spicy salmon roll EXTRA TIP- if you're in the area, consider ordering for delivery (free with $20 min order before tax) cause its chaotic and small in the actual venue

Loved the delicious sushi, miso soup had a lot more flavor than other restaurants'. Order the dinner for two platter if larger group.
    Sadaf A.

Great food, not a noisy place. Dinner for two for $31 had about 24 pieces of delicious seafood variations.

There's no reservation system but they do have a waitlist on Yelp which gets you in line (highly recommended). First to know is you can't pay with credit card here--there's an ATM in the front of the restaurant. As far as the restaurant goes, it was fantastic from start to finish. Our table of 4 was seated and serviced by 1 main staff member, Lydia, who talked us through the whole menu and ordering system, recommended some great starts and then kept us frequently updated all throughout dinner. She checked up on us along with her assistants who were also bringing items and servicing the table. The food quality was excellent with juicy and flavorful cuts of beef along with the shrimp, pork, veggies, side dishes/ponchon, and rice--it kept coming consistently. Grill changes were frequent as well. The atmosphere is lively and there are a lot of servers so you aren't trying get someone's attention all the time. But it doesn't feel too cramped at the same time. As it is AYCE, everyone in our group left full of course and enjoyed each course. I liked the almond tofu at the end! ----TL;DR---- Pros: great selection of meats, quality was top notch, huge portions of course as it is AYCE, service was prompt and all staff were really friendly. Cons: no reservations so need to be on a waitlist. The no credit card system is a bit of an inconvenience. Bottom Line: we loved it--definitely would go back again and enjoy more of their selections! You have to try them if you like meat and AYCE!

It's my go-to spot to get my don fix - I love the wide variety of dons (rice bowls) that they offer with various fish and seafood combinations. There are also unique appetizers in the menu, such as Purple Yam Croquettes, Crab Crackers, Braised Bamboo Shoots with Shirasu (immature whitebait fish), and Takowasa (marinated raw octopus pieces, to be eaten with or wrapped in nori / seaweed). Although the dons are the main highlight of their menu (hence the restaurant name), they also offer traditional sushi, sashimi, sushi rolls and sets (similar to other Japanese sushi restaurants). Miso Aburi Scallops were very flavourful - nicely torched, giving the scallops a nice grill / char taste. They came with red and green seaweed, and a bit of fish roe. Large Premium Hana Don contained a good amount of fish and seafood, including a whole abalone, uni, shrimp in the shell, aburi salmon, ikura (salmon roe), salmon sashimi, tuna sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, other various fish sashimi, tamago (egg), and a few slices of cucumber on a generous bed of rice. I liked that the rice was a mix of white rice and some type of dark-coloured grains. Unatama Don came with a big piece of unagi and tamago (egg) that were both excellent. The sashimi were all fresh. Okonomiyaki was disappointing but it was sort of expected... for only $9, it was about 99% just flour pan-fried in a patty, without any substantial fillings (unlike real okonomiyaki, which usually contains protein / seafood, cabbage, eggs, and other ingredients). Location is super convenient near Bay & Dundas, ambiance is very casual, and service is quick.

The fishes were plated very pretty and because it's sushi of course it tasted good. But I was surprised at the level of wasabi that was plated. Cleared up my sinuses for 30 seconds. The establishment is very clean and bright and a great place to head to if you're in a rush.

We got a bunch of dishes to share and overall liked most things but some things (like the oyster) unfortunately didn't hit as well. Wagyu - thin slices but very tender and very flavorful with the cheese - surprised by how well the flavor combo worked out. Tofu - easily one of my fave agedashi tofu. Huge tofu slices with very chewy outer texture, a bit gelatinous . Really went well with the sauce and toppings Carbonara - nice chewy texture to the udon, not too soft and not too firm. The sauce was nice and creamy. Not as truffley as I thought it would be, wish it was a little more but it was still pretty good Oyster - least favorite of all the dishes we got today. It was a bit sour and the cheese felt like it didn't really help the flavor profile of the oysters. It was super oily from the cheese, felt like it was drowning in cheese/oil flavor Cod - it looks good but something is lacking, maybe in taste? Feel like maybe the marinade did not penetrate enough. The texture is still nice and soft , with a crisp skin . Also was a bit too oily for our liking, compared to other miso cod we have had. It was also a relatively smaller piece of cod. Overall, the appetizers were really good! The oyster and cod were a bit disappointing. Would come back for the carbonara and the other appetizers mentioned though!

It felt comfortable, not too loud, and easy to settle into for a slow dinner. We ordered a mix of small plates to share, and everything came out looking nicely put together. The aburi-style salmon sushi was one of the highlights for me.. lightly seared, with a soft texture and just enough flavor on top without being overwhelming. The tuna tataki was also fresh and clean, simple but well done. Some of the fried dishes leaned a bit richer with the creamy sauces, but they were still enjoyable, especially if you're in the mood for something a little more indulgent.
