The hand rolls had a heavy amount of rice, and overall, the rice portions felt excessive and inconsistent from roll to roll. Visited in July 2024 Some of the sushi had a noticeably strong fishy taste, and the shrimp in the tempura roll was either overcooked or too soft, which made it seem less fresh. I had lunch with my sister at our favorite AYCE sushi place near the office! It's so good I stopped going to Little Tokyo that's just down the street. I can eat a lot of sushi like a good $150 worth! You can't beat AYCE sushi that's fresh everytime! Always consistent with the freshness of the sushi and rolls! The price for lunch is reasonable and dinner includes sashimi! The gyoza is one the best I've had. The perfect flavor and crispiness. The spicy garlic edamame had the best of both spicy garlic. My all time favorite is the striped bass, which is extremely hard to find at most AYCE sushi places. The only thing I was disappointed in was the shumai. It was definitely frozen store bought. I would recommend everything else on the menu! My favorite waiter is Jimmy. He's always attentive and makes sure you're taken care of. We'll be back next week! read more

First off great service from start to end of my dinning experience. I wish the young lady told me her name on entry so I could acknowledge her in this because she did wonderful. Perfect lighting and soft, soothing and yet very entertaining background music. Grilled baby octopus- well cooked and tasty. The sauce that it's served with is really nice. Nasa Roll- great taste and the tuna was actually spicy. I didn't really like the beef cuts due to a few of them being really chewy and I was unable to swallow a few pieces. This place is not good, sushi is not fresh looked like it was mushed together or fake and very thin with way to much rice, beef option did not look appealing at all service was terrible very disappointing didn't like the food so much I had to leave and let them charge me for the left overs. Restroom are gross, watch one of the servers sneeze in her hand and not go wash them before going to the table she was serving.. they were good when they first opened but definitely not a recommended place to come. To top it off when it was time to pay they servers saw I was unhappy and offered to take the left over food charge off which was 3$ if I didn't post about my experience.. The Pasadena Roll was a great surprise with refreshing cucumber. The seaweed salad is fresh and excellent. Before I get started, let me say that the robotic cat server is absolutely adorable, and I couldn't stop smiling whenever it passed by. I was extremely excited to try this place. I love sushi, and having AYCE less than five minutes from my house is a dream come true. Mon-Fri lunch AYCE is 11 am- 3:30 pm for $19.95 and dinner AYCE is $29.95 (including weekends and holidays). Me and my hubby were seated right away. There are booths and tables and a tiny sushi counter all the way in the back. It's a bit of a tight squeeze when the place fills up which could make it very difficult for anyone needing a wheelchair or a walker to move around (like to the restrooms). Popular Christmas music was softly playing in the background and there were plenty of flatscreen TVs showing sports on almost every wall. The atmosphere felt modern and trendy without being pretentious. Our cheerful server (a human, not the cat-bot) brought us their lunch menus and asked what we'd like to drink. They didn't have a drink list anywhere we could see, so we defaulted to a sweet tea with lemon for me and an ice water with lemon for hubby. Here's a list of what we ordered and shared: Spicy garlic edamame, baby octopus robata, beef tataki, miso soup, spicy kani salad, 4 pieces of red snapper and yellowtail nigiri, 1 tamago and 1 inari nigiri, a spicy tuna handroll, a chicken crunch handroll, a volcano long roll, eel and avocado long roll, and a NASA long roll. We ordered our meal in small bursts and never had long to wait. The hot food was hot and the fish fresh and flavorful. I was a little disappointed that the snapper on my nigiri was sliced rather thin compared to the rice ratio given, but the yellowtail was on point. Hubby said he liked the flavor of his chicken handroll but the sauce was loaded up front and didn't reach the end bites. He says that was his bad, though, and resolved to order it as a long roll next time. The NASA roll was delicious! Out of all the food we ordered, I liked that the best! I didn't know this place existed in Pasadena the location is nice and super clean the waiter was very friendly super attentive and fast with our order, the price is fair if you can eat more than 2 rolls, now let me tell you about the food everything was great, flavors the portions and the decorations are super good, the only one I was no content was the seafood soup it needed some extra flavor but I added some soy sauce and it was fine, I truly recommend this hidden gem me and my family love it and we will come back, we had all you can eat and you have a drink included with the price (1 beer or 1 sake or a fountain/ te ) and all menu included 100/100 I didn't take pictures of our food but next time I will share some pictures with more reviews. read more

Had good options for apps, which I care about. I enjoyed the spicy Kani salad, especially. My favorite sushi is typically something with smoked salmon, but I don't like fried rolls. They only have smoked salmon inside fried rolls here. However, the Tigereye was really good, and it's the first time I've liked a roll that's fried. Eel is another one of my favorites and the eel nigiri was delicious. The dragon roll has avocado on top instead eel. Ice cream was great!
