Was surprised by this little place in Hialeah. Totally didn't expect it! The food took a little while but it was worth it. The SushiRiko roll is massive and is covered with cooked krab and shrimp. The other rolls the table ordered were fresh and also large. The staff was friendly and did well with the large crowd that entered all at the same time. The vibe was good with music playing on the tv.

This place has been our go to for take out when we want sushi at home. Literally a hidden gem in the Hialeah Gardens area, the sushi is always fresh and the servings do not disappoint. We an average price of about 10 to about 20 dollars depending on the speciality sushi you want you can't go wrong. Some of the sushi we recommend are the Volcano Roll, SushiRiko Roll, Miko Roll. The employee's are always helpful and are quick with orders. Everything that we have had from here has been great. For those that aren't into sushi they also have option for ramen, hibachi, and family meals such as pepper steak and sweet and sour chicken. Definitely check them out if you are ever in the area.

I am so lucky to live near this place and I've quickly become a regular lol this has to be some of the best sushi in all of Miami and I have traveled far and wide in search of good sushi. The prices are unbeatable with traditional rolls all under $10. Even their signature rolls have modest prices and the portions are very generous. The service is excellent and they're quick. I always get to-go and it's ready for pick up in 10-15 min. The inside is decorated with cute anime posters and figurines that gives it a little more personality but it's a nice cozy neighborhood spot without the pretentiousness of some of the high end franchise Sushi restaurants. They have a very expansive menu with typical things you'd find in any Japanese restaurant but also Chinese and some Thai items as well. Overall for the price, the portions, the quality and the customer service this place is 5/5 stars! I hope more people find out about it cause it's hidden in the middle of Hialeah Gardens where no one would think to go to find some Sushi but I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

SushiRiko NEVER disappoints ! Good quality sushi at a great price and great customer service!

Amazing sushi for the best prices. Very inviting, service is always so welcoming and friendly. Nice to dine in too with lots of tables. I always get the spicy tuna roll (the best spicy tuna roll in the area and only 9.99). I also recommend the super riko roll. So many yummy flavors. Show them some love, they always aim to make customers happy :)

Randomly came across this little sushi joint in this little strip mall. My son wanted a spicy tuna roll and I couldn't find many places around the Hialeah area. This came up and it was a hit. Service was great especially since I never know what to order for myself. We will definitely be repeat customers!

The 5 course meal has potential and can provide a great experience. The story line behind it is okay but can be creepy at the same time. Didn't think the story matched as well as it should with the dishes provided to paint the perfect correlation and story. The 2 drinks consist of a welcome drink and champagne after dessert. Service was good and transitioned well thought out the experience. The set up is nice with good sound quality and the immersion experience was generic as nothing that wowed us. As for the 5 course meal, it was not worth the price tag, granted it's about the experience but even that was also nothing spectacular. The empanadas were different with octopus and was okay. The best dish of the night was the quinoa garden with salmon. That was an amazing dish!!!! The sushi roll was nothing more than a vegetable roll! The worst dish by far was the alleged wagyu skewers! That was definitely not Wagyu as I pointed it out to the waiter and showed him how tough it was as I could not even chew my 2 pieces and nor was my daughter able to. The video posted clearly showed how tough it was and it was disappointing to be served such a bag quality piece and call it wagyu. The dessert was sweet and nice. Wished it was served with little more fruit to balance the sweetness of the dulce de leche! Overall, it was a cool experience for my daughter and I but not the experience as expected for the price paid.

What really stood out was how immersive and creative the experience was. My 9-year-old was completely engaged the entire time--wide-eyed, impressed, and talking about it nonstop afterward. That alone says everything. Baku isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience that sparks imagination, excitement, and genuine joy for both kids and adults. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for something truly unique.

I usually approach fusion restaurants with a healthy amount of skepticism. Too often, they feel…read morelike culinary speed dating, two cuisines forced together in the hope that chemistry magically appears. More often than not, one side dominates, the other disappears, and everybody loses. At Amazonia, a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant in Miami, that fear evaporates somewhere around the first bite. The opening argument came in the form of Gyoza Huancaína, pan-fried dumplings stuffed with lomo saltado and served with a vivid yellow huancaína sauce. It is the kind of dish that sounds gimmicky when described aloud. Then you eat it. The dumplings delivered deep savory notes from the beef, while the creamy sauce added brightness, spice, and richness. It felt less like a fusion experiment and more like a dish that had always existed. Four dumplings arrived on the plate. Four was not enough. My entrée, the Midori Risotto, continued the conversation between Japan and Peru. A strikingly green risotto made with kale and edamame arrived topped with grilled shrimp, microgreens, and dots of black garlic aioli. The rice was cooked properly, retaining a slight bite, while the edamame added texture and sweetness. The shrimp brought balance to the richness, and the black garlic aioli quietly tied everything together. It was a dish that managed to be both comforting and elegant. To drink, I ordered the Nikkei Lemonade, a blend of yuzu, Peruvian ginger, and huacatay. Bright, citrusy, and refreshing, it reset the palate after each bite and served as a reminder that the fusion extends beyond the food. My wife chose the braised short rib, a dish for diners who may not be ready to take the full leap into the restaurant's more adventurous offerings. Braised for 72 hours and served over mashed potatoes, it collapsed under the gentlest pressure from a fork. The beef was intensely flavorful, and the braising liquid was rich enough to make you consider asking for a spoon. Dessert brought one final East-meets-West moment. The Flan Nikkei paired a silky custard with miso caramel, whipped cream, and fresh strawberry. The miso added just enough savory depth to keep the sweetness from becoming predictable. It was a thoughtful ending to a meal built on thoughtful combinations. Amazonia succeeds because it understands something many fusion restaurants do not. Combining cuisines is not about piling flavors on top of one another. It is about finding where they naturally intersect. Here, Japanese precision and Peruvian boldness meet in the middle, and both emerge better for it. Fusion rarely wins me over, but Amazonia makes a compelling case for keeping an open mind.

Our server Claudia was so nice and helpful with explaining the different dishes. You also are treated to a complimentary mocktail and sweet yam bite to start. Claudia even provided us a tablet to see the pictures of the various dishes offered which helped us decide what to try. We started off with a mocktail that had coconut, passion fruit, hibiscus tea and pineapple. That drink was delicious and I didn't miss the alcohol. For starters we had the salmon crispy rice and that was so filling and delicious. Then we had the scallops in the black truffle sauce which was perfect a seared to perfection. We also ordered the kumogani roll which is crab based and that was very tasty with or without soy sauce. We loved everything we tried and will definitely go back to try other items on the menu. I highly recommend trying them out if you're in the area.
