This is now one of my top three breakfast places…read more I always start these out by saying I spent most of my life in the restaurant business. I also owned a bakery in the eighties. So I can be very critical when necessary. But not with this beautiful family run restaurant and bakery. I never remember names, but the dad was in IT and got out and bought this orchard. Mom does the cooking and baking. And the daughters are the servers. Beautiful vibe and family. And friendly farm cats. A very small but fresh menu. My friend and I both had different quiches. This was the best quiche I ever had!!! We also split a bowl of oatmeal that was filled with goodies...nuts, granola, etc. we both had the tea/lemonade combo that was also wonderful. Then we went into the bakery to pay. But will all the goodies we both bought way too much stuff. In addition to the incredible baked goods they have frozen homemade soups, homemade jellies and jams, local honey, and much more. The sourdough English muffins were excellent. When we left one of the daughters was picking herbs from the raised beds. I had to think long and hard about whether to write this review. I want them to be successful but not too successful. Go...but please don't tell anybody.

This farm is definitely one of my favorites. They are a farm store, bakery, kitchen, and orchard…read more There is a vineyard and seasonal pick your own flowers farm onsite. I stopped in their farm bakery and was delighted with the offerings. They had pumpkin whoopie pies, frozen pies, soups, and more. The pumpkin whoopie pies were the best I've ever had. My husband agrees and he's a whoopie pie connoisseur. If you love farms, farm stands, and supporting local businesses, I highly recommend.

The Garlic Farm is a small family owned farm and farm stand located in West Granby. They specialize…read morein, you guessed, garlic and other vegetables. They have been open for three decades. They offer German white hardneck garlic, seed garlic, garlic bulbs, and garlic braids. The farm stand is in an old tobacco barn. I went a couple times and thought it was awesome. The prices were great and they had a huge variety of produce. One time, they posted on social that the flowers were free to pick. If you love fresh produce and supporting a small business, I highly recommend.

"This is the end Beautiful friend…read moreThis is the end Of our elaborate plans, the end" (The Doors) The Garlic Farm's season will end on October 12th, when their doors will be closed for the winter and reopen in the spring. But the end of their season comes with a fantastic bonus for anyone that can get over to West Granby before October 12. That bonus is as many flowers as possible that you can cut and take home from their acres of flower farms. For Free. We saw people out there today with shopping bags, and laundry baskets scooping up their share of gorgeous flowers. Although some of the flowers (especially the sunflowers were way past peak), rest assured there were a ton of gorgeous fresh flowers representing every color of the rainbow still available. We cut and took home enough to fill three vases, of which we kept one and donated the other two to the local Senior Center to brighten the desks of two administrators. So, if you are in the area and have a hankering for some free flowers, set your navigation system to West Granby and enjoy. Just do it before October 12.

They have so many amazing choices of different foods from local companies and businesses. Everything from soup and pies to marshmallows and chocolates. I got to try peach soup that they were making! It was so unique and delicious! They also had ice pops with so many delicious flavors!! The owner was so nice. I work with autistic children and the owner was telling me they have high schoolers with special needs come in for a few hours to learn how to cook. So amazing!! I can't wait to stop back !!

They have a big selection of spices and sauces, offering something for everyone, whether you like to keep it simple or try new flavors. They also feature local foods, including fresh seasonal produce from nearby farms. They offer small to-go meals, but we didn't try any on our visit. The guy working there noticed we were just passing through and kindly let us use their clean and comfortable facilities. We had a great time checking out all the different spices, crafts, and fun little items they had on display. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area! Be sure to ask for a business card, or should I say envelope with a little gift inside.
