We were looking for a spot to apple pick and found this place; unfortunately, they didn't have apple picking. However, they do have a great farm store. The parking lot was spacious. Outside, there were mums, gourds, pumpkins, etc. We scored some gourds for a dollar each. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, it was a lovely place to shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had premade soups, pies, meat pies, a bakery, fresh produce, honey, jellies, soaps, shirts, etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was definitely popular, people were in and out constantly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We bought some pastries (pumpkin muffin, blueberry muffin, cake pop) and it was good! The only thing I don't recommend were the cider donuts, they were kind of dry. The cashier was okay, kind of dry also lol, other than that, a good place to get some fresh eats. I'd definitely visit often if I was close by but I'm lucky to have a bunch of these types of stores near me already. read more

We opted to support small business for Thanksgiving by ordering our pumpkin and blueberry pies from Blossoming Acres. $50. These were the worst pies we've ordered in recent memory and it wasn't even the first time this has happened. These pies were completely flavorless and crust was undercooked. As good as it gets? Yes indeed!! Where do we start? Pumpkins everywhere as Halloween approaches, seriously hundreds of pumpkins delighting every little kiddie in the crowd. Scrumptious produce everywhere- yes- a really tremendous farm stand. Grocery stuff everywhere- yes -soup mixes, dried fruits and all kinds of neat stuff. Refrigerated cases full of gourmet fare- lots of goat cheese-fruit combos. If that was all -this would be a great place. But oh no -- I've saved the best for last. They also have a freaking bakery that will knock your socks off and make you run laps barefoot. Apple pies the size of small volcanos. A cinnamon bun as big as your head. Giant stuffed breads, On and on. CIDER DONUTS THAT MELT IN YOUR MOUTH!! This place will make you weep with joy, trust me. You have to see it with your own eyeballs. read more

We were disappointed By the unfriendliness of the person working there on Saturday late afternoon when we visited. Usually the girls working there are very nice and helpful. Then when we cut the pie we bought we found it completely dried out. Maybe a couple spoonfuls of filling left in it. Big disappointment. We will not be going back again. read more

Hay rides. Fresh apple cider. Pick your own pumpkin. Cookies covered in spooky, colorful sugar. This place oozes fall. Inside the shop, it literally SMELLS like every autumn memory you've ever had was baked into something delicious. My only complaint? The girls at the register don't have a tip jar! They're so pleasant! Aside from all the festive fall things, they have an assortment of organic coffee and tea, yummy-looking food (stuffed bread-looking things, muffins, cookies, pies, honey, corn)... This place has it all any time of year. Speciality items season to season, local goodies from other neighboring farms as well as their own amazing non gmo produce- They grown the best corn you will ever find. Their giant cinnamon buns, scones and pies are to die for. The smell lingering inside makes you instantly hungry and want one of everything! Pumpkins and hay rides in the fall, a beautifully filled greenhouse in the spring and Christmas themed everything during the winter makes this place a diamond in the rough. A farm meets a bakery, meets a general store... what's more to love. We need more places like Blossoming Acres. read more

I recommend to anyone who is questioning whether or not to try Blossoming Acres, I recommend they do not. In the store there are flies all on the food, even in the cases. The pies are left out on a rack so that anything (insects, germs etc.) could touch it. The employees are questionably unsanitary, and I am surprised that the store passes health inspection. I found a hair in a pie and in a muffin once! It was repulsive. The store barely gets cleaned, and when it does it is with an old dirt filled brown mop. I can see how the owners and employees can mislead the costumers, with the "fresh farm food" and "great local business". Well it is all just an act. The moody and miserable owners are hard to deal with when there is an issue. Alongside the food being awful, the flowers and pumpkins are overpriced. If you are near blossoming Acres and are in need of cheap good quality spring and summer flowers or fall pumpkins and decorations then Meadow View Farms is the recommendation. They are five minutes up the road from Blossoming Acres and the service and quality are impeccable. Overall, if anyone is wondering if Blossoming Acres Putnam Farms is a good place to go get "local good food" then you are surely mistakes. It is more like "local unsanitary trash". read more

I've always had a soft spot for this local family farm. My definite go to for pies and baked goods during the holidays (and any other time I'm wanting something sweet). Aside from baked goods, they sell plants, fresh veg, candies, pot pies, coffee and snacks. The employees are always very helpful and nice. I love this place!! read more

A few years ago they had great baked goods. Now the last 3 times I went the baked goods were horrendously stale, but priced as if they were made that day. I assure u that they weren't even made yesterday. Now that I can be assured that this is not a fluke, I will not be returning and instruct others to avoid as well. Stopped here several years ago and got a bunch of stuff for Christmas Eve - stuffed breads, a pie, rugelach, candy, etc. and it was all delicious. I live 45 minutes away in another state, but decided to drive up this past weekend. I spent $65 and a good portion of it ended up being totally stale - not at all how my experience was prior. The stuffed breads (buffalo chicken & pepperoni) were nothing like the last time. So much thick, dry bread and not enough stuffing. A good 3 inches on each end of the loaves had absolutely no filling. The almond croissants - incredibly stale. The small $5 chocolate square with pretzels - not fresh. The pretzels had zero crunch to them. The chicken white bean chili was like soup- very watery. The raspberry cream cheese pocket was good even though the pastry was partially stale. I wish they wouldn't wrap everything in plastic wrap. Any baker knows that plastic wrap changes the texture. I won't be back again. Prices are a bit steep especially for the quality. read more

Twice I've stopped here at 5:30pm to find the front door locked. Each time the stores listed hours were for a 6:00pm closing, the "OPEN" flag was hanging at the roadside, and the "OPEN" neon light was on in the window. There won't be a third time. read more

Best in area. Non-GMO veggies, which are excellent. Baked goods from simple to sinful (but pricey). Great frozen soups to go and a bunch more stuff. And the people are so nice. A real winner, and I have shopped in farm stores from CA to Iowa to Maine. read more

My husband and I had lived in Southwick over 30 years ago. We use to stop in the Putnam farm for home baked goods. Yesterday on our drive, we decided to stop in and instantly smelled the wonderful smell of baked goods. We met the new owner, who was very friendly, and just fell in love with the store and all the wonderful foods it had to offer. I was happy to see non-GMO, organic and healthy ingredients in their baked goods and such a variety of nuts, seeds and dried fruits. I ate my giant cranberry muffin for breakfast today and it was moist & delicous! We can't wait to eat our other finds (spinach squares) and will definitely take a drive back to stock up.
