Although I ordered a salted chocolate chip cookie, the cookie I received tasted more like a salted gingerbread cookie with chocolate chips. I love gingerbread, so for me, this made the perfect pairing. On the other hand, if gingerbread is not for you, don't order this cookie. Unable to decide among the juice and smoothies, I was blessed to have the input of an enthusiastic team member. In the end I went with the strawberry mint, sweetened with monk fruit, with added protein. It was backed with flavor. I'm usually a green juice girl, so I already have a reason to return. I can't believe I have written a review for Sustain. The juices are really good. I got the Show Your Roots which features beets, kale, burdock root, ginger and lemon. I also had a wheatgrass shot that was not too bad, mild, kinda sweet. The juices are premade, they just pull them from the fridge on order. I'm not sure when they are made, maybe day of. Glass containers is a major win. You don't have to worry about leaching plastics. The folks working are very sweet and helpful. There were a handful of people there when I went. I LOVE LOVE sustain but Thursday May 20, 2025 at 3:15pm I called up there to place a to go order, the moment the phone was answered, I felt the attitude from the lady. I don't know who she was but she seems like she was somewhere in there mid 20s age. I then proceeded to ask to repeat my order to make sure my order was correct and repeated it in an attitude. Once i confirmed, I asked for a price but before I finished, she hung up in my face. Once i got there she had a smug all over her face. I don't know if she had a bad day but it most certainly shouldn't be projected on to customers!! Also i was eating my bowl and came across a chunk of i don't know what! A little pricey, but great smoothie bowls. The worker that served me was really nice and patient, as I have never been here before and didn't know how it worked. Each bowl is custom to you and what you choose to put in it which is great. I would definitely recommend getting the pitaya bottom though, as it tastes just amazing. Pretty big açaí bowl. Pretty expensive too at $9 minimum, regardless of whether you get a dine in bowl, or a to go cup or bowl. My dine in bowl consisted of an açaí base, strawberry and mango blend ins, almond milk; granola, almond, and coconut chip toppings; and a honey drizzle. It's a nice alternative to bakery treats as a snack. I'm not sure how healthy these açaí bowls really were. It's wasn't stated whether their frozen açaí base or their blend ins were sweetened or unsweetened. Plus, I would've liked how many calories and grams of sugar the granola and other toppings contributed to the ultimate calorie count of my açaí bowl. Unfortunately, I didn't see any nutrition information in the store or on their website. I believe it would help customers make better informed decisions about how to make a healthier açaí bowl. I would've also liked the option of a smaller açaí bowl to get a nice sweet snack that's not too filling. Although, I did enjoy my açaí bowl. It was very berry in taste, and it had contrasting textures and flavors from the granola, coconut, and almonds. The honey drizzle had a nice touch of sweetness too. Unfortunately, I didn't taste any hint of mango, even though I ordered a mango blend in. Next time, to balance out the tartness of the açaí base and strawberry blend in, I'll add banana or blueberry instead of the mango blend in. Also, I will try adding more granola and cacao nibs instead of adding coconut chips. I'll ask the staff if I can split the açaí bowl with my sis next time as well. It's too filling to eat one all by myself. This is definitely not a place to come to often for your açaí bowl fix, unless you want to break your bank. I've been here twice and both times I thought the same thing. I loved their Acai Bowl but it is expensive!! They have a make your own Acai Bowl option where you write does and check off the ingredients you'd like to have which includes toppings (each 50 cents). Wow this place pleasantly surprised me. I created my own pitaya bowl mixed with strawberries, mangos, and almond milk. Then I got it topped with granola, almonds, raspberries, and a honey drizzle. Wowow this was so so good. The base was refreshing and well blended. Great and creamy, not runny or chunky. The almonds and granola added the best crunch and texture to the bowl. My only complaint is that I only had maybe 6 raspberries in total. You pay and they call your name once your bowl is complete. 1. acai or pitaya - apparently acai is a bit sweeter 2. what do you want to mix with your base? - I opted for pineapples and mango and it was delish. 3. what fruit do you want on top - additional fruit is $0.50. It comes with 2 toppings - I added blueberries, strawberries and bananas. 4. what dry superfood do you want on top - additional is $0.50. It comes with granola so I added that and coconut flakes. They even have GF granola. 5. what sweetener do you want? honey or agave? I opted for honey. YUMMMMMM.. is all I have to say. It was perfectly blended, not to runny (which is what I typically see when I order acai bowls) and this one was just the right consistency. The toppings and fruits were all fresh and crunchy and it was just delicious! This is the last time I'm ever coming here again. There were two workers there and two people ahead of me waiting for their orders. The guy said it would take 10 minutes because he was busy making two juices. So I decided to wait...bad idea. One girl was making an açaí bowl so I figured it wouldn't take much longer but apparently she didn't know how to make the smoothie I ordered and the other guy who took my order decides to go to the restroom for over 5 minutes after he was done making the juices he was working on KNOWING I had already been waiting a long time. I decided to stop by here for a quick snack after working out at the nearby YMCA. They offer a variety of juices, acai, and pitaya bowls. I opted for an acai bowl and was pleasantly surprised at how customizable their bowls are! You can choose two fruits to blend with the acai base (I chose banana and mango), a liquid base (almond milk for me), two fruits for toppings (blueberries and raspberries yum), and then decide if you'd like granola, agave, or honey toppings as well. I decided to skip the honey and agave but added granola for some crunch. The total came out to a little over $9 for the bowl. The bowl was delicious and refreshing! The acai base was perfect in that it was flavorful and light. I've had many bowls that were heavy and became a burden to eat after a few spoonfuls- not the case here! Also, their granola is very crispy and airy like rice krispies cereal, so I was definitely a fan. I was very satisfied after finishing my bowl and would say that their portion size is just right, although the price is on the expensive side for something that's more of a snack than a full meal. My friend and I were in the area after an intense sweaty workout, so smoothies and acai bowls sounded refreshing. Anyways, the inside is bright and inviting, with a colorful menu that lists their smoothies and bowls. For the acai bowls, we grabbed a checklist menu where you just select what you'd like. I got the strawberry mango acai blend topped with almond, blueberries and honey. Everything is made fresh and you can see people in the kitchen blending the ingredients! I always appreciate the transparency. Roughly waited 10 minutes and got our bowls. They're very cold so beware of brain freeze. The highlight of my acai bowl was the taste of the acai blend complemented by the freshest blueberries and hint of honey drizzled. I also enjoyed the granola with rice crispies for texture. I am reviewing this only as to the smoothies we received and have not tried anything else. The lady behind the counter was polite and made our smoothies fairly quickly. We ordered and received them within about 8-10 minutes. The menu options were interesting and met our needs. We tried the Reverend Green for my kid and me. I liked my drink and he thought his was pretty good. My other one got a Strawberry Sentiment and I had to add spinach to it so he would get some greens. Both liked the smoothies I would get them from Smoothie King better. So, the rub is that although I would come back here again, I would probably go to Smoothie King significantly more frequently. If nothing else, our three smoothies are about $8 to $10 less without consideration of tip. I still would return, but it would not be my first option. Okay so I really love everything about this place except the prices. The prices are very Bellaire (aka overpriced) so proceed with caution. There are tons of different fresh fruit and smoothie options. They also have a variety of açaí bowl flavors. Everything is made fresh and to order and they're pretty accommodating for substitutions. They also have a variety of milks and allergy friendly options and add in. There's also special shots (ie wheatgrass, ginger etc) if you need something extra. The staff is friendly, the inside has a lot of natural lighting and a few tables to work at. They also have a community board which is a cool place to find local events. Only downside aside from prices is the wait time for your order. Since it's all freshly made it can take a while to even make a simple smoothie.
