I'm really conflicted about this dealership. Let's start this off by saying I bought my 1st ever car here (had help from parents) so as far as payments and all that stuff goes, things were good. Now as far as maintenance... well that's another story. Came here sometime last year to get my oil changed and I waited 3 hours!! before I asked for an update. The lady that was my service advisor was very rude and unprofessional when I asked for an update. Literally have no idea why she was so rude, it was a genuine concern why it took 3 hours for my oil to be changed. I come today to get an oil changed and before I had handed over my car, I mentioned that my Washer Fluid light kept coming on and even after filling it up, it would turn off and than a few minutes later it would turn back on. The guy helping me was...not sure how to describe it but mumbling much of the time and it was very hard to hear/ understand him. I waited AGAIN 3 hours and asked for an update. This guy was vey hard to understand and he mentioned how my Coolant tank was completely empty and I had no coolant, don't know much about cars, but I do know that couldn't have been possible (the fact that I had no coolant) because my car would have overheard on the drive over (a good 30 minutes from my house). I went back and forth with him asking questions and could hardly get any proper information out of him. In the end the technician that was working on my car, pulled me into the back and "showed me" what he did. Basically saying he checked my coolant for any leaks, and said I had none. And that he filled my tank up. He also stated that my washer fluid tank had fluid in it. I then proceeded to explain my coolant was never "leaking" from my knowledge but I had thought it was my washer fluid. As the light kept turning on and there would be nothing in the tank. Not sure if they really weren't understanding what I was saying, or they were just avoiding the issue but I had to leave for school. 5 minutes down the road my washer fluid light turned on again :/ read more

Worst service department I have ever experienced. Every agent I have worked with has been condescending and unprofessional. Their phone line is impossible to reach and when you do reach them, you're met with grumpy workers who communicate poorly. When you finally reach them and ask to speak to your specific advisor, they make all kinds of excuses that theyre in the bathroom, theyre at lunch, and you ask for a call back and they never do. I had a super early morning appt for a simple oil change and left my car with them all day. By the time the service department was ready to close, they said oh sorry we couldn't get the oil change done. That is unacceptable from a dealership. They couldn't even communicate halfway through the day to give me a heads up they couldn't complete the most basic service. Valvoline got it done in 10 mins. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN My nightmare started when I brought my leased Platinum Rogue in for routine servicing, a recall, and new wipers -- all covered under my 3-year prepaid service contract. Simple enough. Then Travis approached me and sold me a gorgeous, fully loaded 2017 Infiniti Q50. I put down $2k+That's when everything went wrong. I was sold a car without the whole story. I have disabilities and require printed documents to process written legal materials. THIS IS WHERE THEY GET YOU. BEWARE: Anthony Travarez is the reason people call car dealers sleazeballs. He refused to provide a printed copy of either contract before signing -- against company policy -- and I left without one. To this day, I don't know the exact price I was charged. I received a useless jump drive instead of paperwork. I was also never allowed to get an insurance quote. "Not necessary," Sleazy said, as he rushed me off the lot. Obviously, if I'd received that quote -- which would have doubled my car payment -- the sale would have ended right there. And here's the kicker: this model is a high-theft vehicle. Imagine an elderly woman being dragged out of it. I called Travis and arranged to return the car. After humbling myself in his office over making such a rushed decision -- and losing my lease in the process -- Travis showed me what I could "afford." Apparently, the only vehicle on the lot within my budget was a stripped-down Kicks advertised at $20,000+. Take it or leave it. Then Sleazy handed me a paper -- finally something I could actually read. It stated that my leased Rogue was listed as a trade-in. I was told the lease was already gone. So now the Q50 deal was void and my lease was surrendered. I stood up to leave. "We're done," I said. Not so fast. Sleazy announced he would "recreate" the Q50 paperwork and that I could only leave in that car. Again, no printed documents. I was forced into signing for a stripped vehicle I couldn't believe I was paying $400/month for 84 months -- on an $18,000 car. He buried over $4,000 in added charges, inflating the price to nearly $24,000. He called over 7 lenders to secure more than 100% financing on a car with a zero trade-in balance. My daughter is away at college and lives near this dealership. She initially called this dealership today to see if they could assess some issues that she was having with her car. They basically flipped her off on her call and told her that could not see her today for service. Unfortunately, she did not get a name so we did not know who she spoke to. That is basically why I only gave four out of five stars. She called me and reported the situation and I immediately made a phone call to the dealership. Boy were we lucky to get John Bartolotta on the phone. I explained the situation to him, he was patient enough to wait for me for to get my daughter on a three-way call for her to explain what was going on with her car. He then immediately offered to have her bring the car in for service and she did. They were able to assess that she needed a new battery which was a relief that it was not engine problems. She also requested maintenance service while she was there and they were able to accommodate her. This is the kind of customer service that you would expect when interacting with a dealership. Kudos to John for going the extra mile at Sutherlin Nissan today to take care of our car issues and put a parent's mind at ease. He definitely gets five stars from us! Tire sensor on my 2017 Sentra blew up into a million pieces, just hit my warranty mileage (37,000+) so they don't cover it. How does this happen to a new car? All I was offered was free labor if I buy the piece, but Nissan was the last place to work on my car and tires. So either the Sentra has faulty parts or they broke it. Either way I'm driving with the sensor light on in my dash board until I have the money to fix it. Smh read more

I purchased a new Pathfinder from Sutherlin back in 2015 and have had a few dealings with the service department since. I'm really unhappy with the processes they employ. About a year ago i received a 'recall' notice and made an appointment via online to have it taken care of. During the online schedule i referenced the recall notice information/#. I showed up for my appointment and was told after they checked me in that the recall had already been done. Not sure why I received the notice then. I received another recall notice on the hood latch about a month ago. Scheduled the appointment, but did so on the phone to insure it 1) needed to be done and 2) the parts would be available, etc. I show up this morning at my 8 AM appointment and am told the main part is there, but the other part(s) have to be ordered. I inquired why since i called specifically for this recall work. After responding as to who i had talked to - man or woman, i was told that parts cannot be ordered to do the work until i come in so a work order can be completed and submitted. I inquired why this couldn't have been done when i booked the appointment, I was told the process is that I must come in so the work order can be completed at that time. I was told the part(s) should be in a couple/few business days and i would be contacted to schedule another appointment. All in all in this latest incident I spent about an hour of my time for nothing to be done and now I wait to reschedule this. There MUST be a more efficient way to perform these tasks and schedule customer's times. I'm very frustrated at this point and wonder is this a Sutherlin process issue or a Nissan global process issue. They are running an incredibly misleading mailer promotion called Dealopoly where the grand prize was for $25,000 if you match symbols on a scratcher. After matching the symbols for the grand prize, they make you go to the dealer and match a confirmation number they have on a board. If it didn't match with the numbers on the board, you would get a random gift card for Target valued up to $500. Mine ended up being worth only $5. When i got there, about 5 other folks had the same grand prize scratchers and none of them actually won the prize that matched the symbols. Not sure what was the point of this promotion if no salesperson approached to show a car or make a sale either. Total waste of time. All they are getting from me in this promotion are bad reviews everywhere (as a warning to others) and a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. We have always had bad experiences at dealerships in the past where you feel a tug of war with the dealer and seller that you feel pressured to get something and walk away unhappy. We called 4 different Nissan dealerships and this one seemed to be the best fit. We have a 2019 Nissan Kicks that the lease was almost up on. After speaking with Jeffrey, we just decided instead of doing another lease or buying out our vehicle to go ahead and finance a brand new 2022 Nissan Sentra SV. The process was smooth and effortless, and didn't feel any pressure at all to get something we didn't want. Jeffrey gave world class service that made this process smooth as can be! I couldn't believe what I saw on the car window, a second sticker with $5000 added for nothing (MVA market value adjustment) and another $2000 added for unlisted dealer options and an additional amount for listed dealer options. So, Sutherlin is adding over $7000 to the price because management believes supply and demand favors them. That practice is predatory. 06/10/24 Last time I was here, I was correctly diagnosed with a failing transmission after being told by another Nissan dealership that everything was fine, so I thought it would be okay to trust them a second time to be diagnosed for an AC issue. Came in with my AC working fine, only had problems when cooling in the afternoon heat or when stopped but the AC would work fine when the car was running on the road, I really only came for a diagnosis so I can get it repaired in the future; after the appointment, I left with my AC not cooling at all and making a weird noise that did not occur before I dropped it off. I drove it down the road (about 2 miles and back) to see if it would work when running, which it never did, and so I returned to see if they could bring it back to the state that my car arrived in. I originally was diagnosed with a leaking compressor and I declined having it replaced same day as it was extremely expensive, and when I returned with the newfound problem that only they could have caused (because it worked fine, not great, but fine before dropping it off), I was repeatedly told the only way to fix it was to have the compressor replaced after repeatedly telling them that the AC worked fine just before dropping it off. Now I'm no mechanic, but I do know a little common sense, if it arrived working fine and left not working, they must have done something within the 3-4 hours they had it. I don't know if they wanted to take advantage of my mother and I, and just finished breaking my compressor so I could come back and have it replaced at their dealership or if it truly was a coincidence that my compressor gave out within the time they had my car under their care. Either way, I don't recommend coming here, you could get replacements and repairs done cheaper at your local mechanic. read more

I decided to get an appointment for the next day (today, Sept. 16 @ 11:00 am.). Got there by 10:30 am for my appointment at 11:00 am. After 1/2 hr. They told me that the wait was around 3 hrs.
