Dr. Carrie McCloskey Plastic Surgery…read more I am not one to write many reviews but this is one I have to do! I had my surgery with Dr. Carrie McCloskey, a surgeon at Walnut Creek Kaiser Permanente, and I honestly couldn't have had a better experience. From the very beginning, she really listened to me. Every concern and request I had was taken seriously, which made me feel so comfortable and confident in my decision. Dr. McCloskey truly cares about her patients, and it shows in her work! My surgery turned out beautifully it was exactly what I hoped for. I'm so grateful for her skill, patience, and attention to detail. I would absolutely recommend Dr. McCloskey to anyone considering plastic surgery. She made the entire experience smooth, reassuring, and positive. I'm so thankful for having such a supportive surgeon like her. I highly recommend Dr. Carrie McCloskey for anyone looking into plastic surgery.

I've been a Kaiser patient for over 15 years but this was the year the Walnut Creek location…read morefinally pushed me to leave. ENT absolutely would not book me a second appointment. Weeks went by, multiple calls, emails, and I could not get access to care from them. I ended up walking into the ER several times until I was finally able to move my referral to Oakland, where I was seen roughly a week later. The injection clinic has a habit of not scheduling or informing you of secondary vaccination shots. Often you'll leave and have no idea it's part of a set unless you Google it and follow up with your primary on your own for them to order the shot. I was re-matched with a provider I'd made a complaint against a couple years before. This pushed my appointment out 6 months because the appointment was then labeled a "second opinion" - I switched to Oakland and saw someone immediately. With Kaiser CA, if your primary is out of office no one else can or will refer to you a specialist. The receiving department can forward along an existing referral to another office, but that's your only option outside of simply switching to another provider. You're out of luck until your doc comes back from Hawaii. This year I finally started paying cash to see John Muir specialists where I can schedule in appointments without a referral and see someone within days. I can't even describe how much it has improved my overall health. So as of January 2026 we are leaving for a different insurance company - Bon Voyage Kaiser.

After checking the vitals they moved me into a room and I had an EKG in under 5 minutes. Then they moved me to a room in intensive care where they began a battery of tests to find out why my heart was going so crazy it had slowed down to about 150 beats per minute but it was wearing itself out. About 10 minutes past from the time I walked into the building until they were giving me oral and intervenious medication to slow my heart down. Then they kept checking to see other things to make sure that I wasn't going to have a clot that could give me a stroke. And was able to get my heart under control in a short amount of time. Within a few hours I was released from the ER with new medication and a chance at life again. I want to thank all the staff there especially the head nurse. Everyone took such great pride in what they were doing. And of course we've got to think my cardiologist Rockstar that he is! If you were having heart problems and you needed a place to go I wouldn't hesitate to go to downtown Kaiser they got you covered.

Worst surgery center I've ever been to. You can not go in the back with your loved one before…read moresurgery or after surgery while they are in recovery. Apparently the nurses who's wage we pay buy paying the price of Kaiser as it is but they do not want loved ones in the back because it's easier if there not in the back and only work on the patient. They say the surgeon will call after the procedure is done witch no one did the first time my wife of 30 years went in for surgery. Keep in mind at the Antioch Sand Creek Kaiser you can go back with your loved ones. Entitled nurses might make me switch from Kaiser to something different on that alone. SMH and Kaiser wonders while people talk about how trash there services are.

The lab techs clearly aren't trained well enough because they just poked and poked him and never took blood. They referred us back to pediatrics who again refused to do the blood draw. Then they ask NICU to meet us at labs to do the blood draw but NICU says they won't do it. I've always been warned about Kaiser and their poor service but today we actually experienced it. What are we supposed to do when the place we pay for medical coverage refuses to do anything?

Kenny (my beloved pooch) broke my prescription sunglasses on 03/31/26. My vision has been declining…read morewhich is a sign my eye glass prescription may be up as well. This prompted me more urgently to see if my prescription was up. I checked the Kaiser app to see if the prescription was up and BINGO! It was . Makes sense I was having vision challenges. Anywho, I'm from Fresno and the earliest I can be be seen was end of June 2026. I definitely can't be waiting that long unfortunately as I need new glasses and prescription. Luckily we were headed to the Bay Area for Easter and Martinez had 1 appointment open for 4/2 at 3pm. I booked it immediately as it's not too far from the dudes grandmas house. We ran into some car trouble and gps said we won't be there until 3:45 pm. I called Kaiser and they recommended I reschedule. I am not taking no for an answer and I saw on their site they take walk ins. I let the advice line know. I think we can make it. We made it at 3:50pm. It took me a little to find the location but I found it. 4pm. I registered online and checked in with staff to let them know. YES I am about an hour late. Took accountability 100% . They asked Dr. Angela Wong if she will take me. The staff member said she is with a patient but will ask. A few minutes later they call me. They said Dr. Angela Wong is ready for me. I cry. Before I can walk back Dr. Wong greets me so warm and excited to see me. I can feel my body relax as she reassures me she will take me in. Dr. Angela Wong is an amazing soul. She is so warm, funny, exciting and just refreshing. I have had bad optometrist experiences growing up but she has healed my trauma from just by her being her. So understanding and very supportive! Do not give her up Kaiser at all. She is a GEM to the optometry world . We had a blast together in the appointment and made it go by so fast. She gave me words of encouragement as I let her know I'm getting married. It was like talking to a bestie! Seriously recommend her. She was surprised I came from Fresno but lack of availability had me come up North. I left with a new prescription and ordering my glasses this week! Thank you Dr. Wong . Systemic stress is real! And barriers too but she closed the gap. Highly recommend her!
