Do not bring your child to this place if Dr.Love is here and his nurse. No sympathy and I didn't know they can decline to see you. I guess it helps the nurse checks you in and makes the assessment, she's also the one that will determine what happens next like she did with my son's care. Of course the doctor is going to agree with the nurse because he's only listening to her side. As a doctor and nurse you would think they have sympathy, feelings and care but they don't. As a Sutter patient for 15 years and coming from Sacramento, we will let all our family and friends know not to ever come here again. After a disastrous visit to Oak Valley hospital (stay away from there if you can!) I went to Sutter Urgent Care to see about a wrist injury that had occurred a week before. This is specifically for Sutter's main primary care doctors. We usually don't have an issue at urgent care. I don't know what is going on with Sutter but this place seems as though they are billing fraudulently. My partner got insurance for the first time this year and every single appointment that we have had at Sutter has somehow landed us with a random bill well over $100. They charged us for a medical appointment level 2 to drop off a specimen sample. We didn't even speak to anyone. They charged us for a full appointment to drop that off. Every bill we get shows what the insurance allows for and all of them have been billed much higher than what the insurance says It allows. when you call and try and get any transparency on cost they don't provide that. My partner is in a situation where he's going to need to have some testing done to ensure he doesn't have cancer And we're struggling to get Sutter to provide accurate billing information so we know what exorbitant amount will be required to pay. for years we thought Kaiser was the biggest evil, Sutter is quickly moving up in the ranks. I truly believe that Sutter Hospital is fraudulently billing insurance and hyping up the level of care to charge more. Buyer beware. read more

Despite the bad reviews, I went to the Sutter Urgent Care this morning. I arrived just prior to opening and there were 4 people in line ahead of me. They opened promptly, the staff was kind and efficient. I checked in and had barely sat down when I was called to triage. Not even 5 minutes after that, I was in a room. Start to finish took 40 minutes. The PA who evaluated me was thorough, knowledgeable and friendly. Will not hesitate to visit there again as the need arises. read more

I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with an ear infection even though I kept saying it feel like water was in my ear. Doctor prescribed expensive ear drops and antibiotics. After 3 days I still couldn't hear and was not getting better. Went to Sutter in dale rd and they flushed my ear out and said that was it. I'm sorry I said for me but I meant my wife was the one who got missed diagnosed. read more

Almost 6 hour later and did not get to see the doctor. They do rush you in with labs and billing info right away. Waste of time. Don't come here go to doctors hospital. This place is the waiting room in beetle juice movie. They staff can not answer question about wait time and when you ask how many people ahead it's always the same. Sounded like 1-2 patient were called back per hour. Not to mention how cold the waiting room is to uncomfortable for that long. The sad part is s I know they will still charge insurance even though we were not seen. Stayed as long as we could. Sorry , did not make up to sunrise. Took about 2hrs to be seen after they called me waiting on Dr Jackson my joint on the side of my big toe on my left foot was in pain couldn't walk on it he gave some pain meds and a shot and said he will give me a call or his team will after X-ray and lab works were done, now I just wait for results the next day and proper treatment as instructed. I'm at home waiting still in pain ibuprofen he prescribed was not working just popping it everyday thinking it will slow the pain down as the days went by and left about 5 urgent notes for them to take a look at my chart and courtesy call already a week past still nothing but a survey to see how was the experience smh here it is when being seen it everything as usual smooth but afterwards you won't hear from them my first experience I will find a permanent spot to go to just going to leave that place alone. read more

Came here because I've had a stomach virus for a few days, just feeling generally unwell and this is not the first time they've turned me away once the doctor hears that I'm diabetic they don't even want to speak to me or help me. They tell me to go to the emergency room but the emergency room doctors check my bloodsugar and don't give me insulin so that is not an option for me. The urgent care doctor doesn't bother to listen to me that my bloodsugar isn't constantly high. I am able to get it down I've just been struggling because of the stomach problems I've been having. Woke up Thursday morning with a slight sore throat. Pain grew to be severe rapidly so I checked my throat at work and my right tonsil was so red and swollen. I work 12 hour shifts so I self-medicated with ibuprofen until yesterday. Yesterday, I went into this clinic and saw Dr. No-name. I was Covid and strep tested. Strep was negative. He checked my throat. There must have been miscommunication somewhere because seemed to tell me that I don't have strep even though I thought I did, which was not the case. I knew it was tonsillitis. Anyway, he said, "I'm going to prescribe a Z-pack. It may or may not work," with a very nonchalant-whatever kind of attitude. I asked what to do if it doesn't work. He said, "Alternate between Ibuprofen and Tylenol until the symptoms go away." His whole attitude turned me off and the lack of respect for my health. I went to Sutter Urgent Care in Stockton today. Saw Dr. Fellenz. Thank God for this woman. The nurse was kind as well. Dr. Fellenz listened to me, did her assessment, and educated me regarding the current studies on the Z-pack and Amoxicillin as well as what the new recommended treatment is. She took her time and was so personable. Definitely recommend this clinic over Modesto. read more

He was great, very personable, addressed my concerns immediately and submitted a prescription to my pharmacy. There is usually a long wait, but it's urgent care, like many in our area and our ERs, many people are seeking services with limited locations so unfortunately it's to be expected. I've been in the Sutter system in Modesto & Turlock, Ca since first diagnosed with lung cancer almost 5 years ago now. I can't say enough good about the care I've received from everyone involved not only in my cancer care but in my other multiple medical issues. From lab, to X-ray, to doctor's offices & support staff & especially the physicians themselves everyone has been so professional, helpful, kind & understanding & I highly recommend Sutter to anyone with complex medical needs. My family of 5 has utilized this urgent care at least a dozen times over the last decade and we have never once had a bad experience. Honestly we've never even had to wait that long! Staff and providers are friendly and knowledgeable and the facility is clean. Special shout out to Dr. Raabi. He's taken care of me 2-3 times when I've gone in and today when I brought my son in for a possibly broken finger I was reminded again what a wonderful doctor he is. So i went to Sutter Urgent care with a tiny piece of glass in my foot. They did an XRAY and said it didn't show up and so Dr Love said he couldn't go in and cut it out. $340 deposit down the drain. This facility is nice and they are quick to see you, but when the doctor comes in, you start to quickly realize why its so fast. The doctor spends about 30 seconds in the room with you. He just reiterates what you told the MA and then prescribes you something. I went in for an eye issue and he didn't even shine a light in my eye. Just prescribed 2 different medications and told me to try both. I went on another occasion to the respitory clinic for covid screening, they screened me for covid and took my vitals then set me home. Never listened to my breathing or anything. What kind of respitory clinic doesn't listen to your lungs? I do know doctors are obligated to spend so long in the room with you, and they're definitely bypassing that law. 2 stars because the facility is clean and the MAs are absolutely sweet. read more

Went here for the first time after having windshield washer fluid in my eyes. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very rude and angry woman at the registration desk. She did not like answering any questions. After about a five minute wait I was called back. I was taken to what I can only describe as a copy room. There was several printers, file cabinets, folders and lots of other miscellaneous office supplies/equipment in the room. I was asked a few questions, a flashlight shown in my eyes and told I was good to go. The doctor and nurse were both very nice but this was the weirdest and most unprofessional hospital experience I have ever had. After being seen I went back to the waiting room to find my husband. While there the same rude lady from check in approached me screaming at me to fill out a text about insurance. A text that I had not even received yet. She also asked where my husband was and I told her I did not know but probably outside and then she began screaming at me that he was not allowed to leave. The nurse who had seen me saw this and came over and escorted me away from her, apologized for her behavior and escorted me out another door. About a week later I got a bill demanding money even though they had not filed my insurance yet. I have given them my insurance information four times already and they still keep saying they don't have it and want me to pay them $1,700 and change for this so called "treatment" I received. I went to the urgent care which I would assume like most people is a first come first serve basis. I understand there is a wait usually 1-2 hours but that's not an issue. What was the issue was they let 4 people who arrived and checked in after me got seen first. One or 2 is understandable but 4 people is crazyyy. We have a lot of urgent cares in this city, and this one often seems to stand out as somehow better. Maybe it's the shiny building, or the fact it's down the street from the Sutter hospital. It has actual MDs, and the website lets you do online check in to avoid wait times: perks!! But despite the fancy stuff, it really hasn't been much use to us. We've went several times, and experienced somewhat reasonable wait times and professional front end staff. But every time we finally get into triage we never seem to be able to progress past the RNs they keep on staff. These aren't acting as nurses, but like sentries guarding the MD from patients. Once we were sent away because they wouldn't start an IV on a patient who needed fluids. "We don't do that here." What. Well it turned out that they don't start IVs on minors, or at least that's what we were told. The website says they take pediatrics. Waste of time with a sick child. Thanks. But now let's get to our most recent visit. A patient with abdominal pains got stopped by the sentry and sent away because they didn't want to run imaging. Not because they can't run imaging, but because they didn't want to run it. They have CT/sono and their website advertises imaging, and front end staff confirmed its there and in use. But we were told: "We don't have the resources to scan every patient." No one even examined the abdomen to determine the level of pain, location, etc. just eyed by an RN who arbitrarily decided they didn't want to waste their sonogram time on this one. The discharge papers say "you were seen by" and list an MD who never laid eyes on us, never set foot into the same room as us, and couldn't pick us out of a lineup to save his life. So what happens when you get sent away after sitting around all morning in an urgent care? You get to go sit around the rest of the day in the ER, wasting emergency staff and beds on non-emergent problems. Oh, but it's ok because they'll refund the $200+ they demanded you put down before visiting the sentry. And you know what's suspicious? They recommend you go over to the Sutter ER down the road, right? The bill is 10x higher. Hmmmmm. So what I don't need: some Sutter social care team (really? A social media baby sitter to leave patronizing comments on Yelp reviews? one of the reasons the bill is so high is to cover non-essential paper pushers, also probably why they don't have resources to provide medical care!) to comment saying they're so sorry I had a negative experience. What did I need? Non-emergent medical care that I couldn't get at my primary dr office, care that was essential and important but not a life or death situation..you know, URGENT care. This place calls itself urgent care, but I don't know what services they actually do provide. I'm guessing it's probably pretty close to a walk-in clinic. If that's what you need: go on in! They do have MD on staff, which sets them apart from many other urgent cares in town, a pretty building(!!!), and the online appointment scheduling is kind of neat. And best of all, if you leave a 5-star review you'll get a virtual high five from the social care team yay. I guess that's the millennial version of getting a sticker after seeing the dr. So I got an X-ray on my toe Friday after work. The technician was nice and even had me wait to see if she can get a radiologist to to read my X-ray. She couldn't so she labeled it as STAT (?). Today is Saturday and since I hadn't heard from anyone I thought I would call. The person who answered informed me that the radiologists and Dr. offices are closed on the weekend and he could send a message for Monday. WTF -- So I guess I go all weekend with no advise (except google) as to how to care for my sprained or broken toe. WHATEVER! I will be switching my health provider soon. Since I'm venting I might as well mention that I had a minor surgery a few months back and the Dr. perforated my uterus. So yeah, not happy at all with Sutter Gould. The call centers are rude and inconsiderate about your health needs. For the cost that they charge, you would think, they would have quality services. Came to urgent care with a sinus infection. Was told could NOT be seen - I get it...Covid precautions. I've tested myself and I'm negative for covid. Was instructed by a very rude receptionist to call a number to be seen. (Eye roll) My health online is not super helpful in booking an appointment to be seen same day for anything cold, flu, allergy or sinus related. ERs are full of many patients that could be seen by urgent care or same day apt. So now I'm being seen by the same urgent care / respiratory clinic. I just need an Rx for my sinus infection. So heads up if you have anything allergy or sinus related. Trying to be a good human and not take up valuable time in the ER. Definitely will say all the receptionists are rude. I was told my apt was at 2:25 and to check in at that time - however reception said my apt is at 2:40. Why ask me to arrive early and check in if you aren't going to check me in? Definitely think there is a way to be more efficient for patient check in. Otherwise I think over all Sutter is great. read more

Beware of extremely high pricing for urgent care services. I brought my 4 year old daughter here for a routine ear infection and a quick exam of her eye which had a small red mark (slight retinal scratch). So my quick, 15 min visit cost $294, way more than any urgent care where I'm from (Los Angeles) and probably Modesto. It turns out they do not have standard pricing for visits but instead have a "tiered level" pricing determined by doctor's opinion. No surprise that the doctor will bill near the maximum. We were determined to be level 4 out of 5, with level 5 seeming to include broken bones, mammograms, and other high-level medical technology. So, it seems that if you have any slight ailments, they will bill you at level 4. This is insane price gouging. Do not go here. It seems insane that a medical company can even have a tiered service and even more insane that they don't disclose it before you visit. Bad business ethics.
