I love coming here because it's usually less busy than other Sutter Imaging locations. I've been here a few times and it's been not busy compared to the other ones. The staff is usually really nice and don't look like they hate their life or job, compared to other Sutter imagining centers. It is a very small location. Chairs need some updating due to its comfort and deterioration. read more

I had an MRI today and what an experience! The woman Galinda did the test and her voice was so relaxing! This is the first time I had a test without some meds to keep me relaxed, and she was so great, I didn't have any problems! I can't thank her enough! read more

My experience with the staff and my scheduled appointment was nothing short of exceptional. The staff at this location truly deserve a 5 star review. However, the facility is shabby and tired. The wallpaper is torn, the painted walls are scuffed, the facility is poorly lit and makes one feel like they're in a bad horror movie. Given what Sutter makes off of each individual, one would hope that their facilities would be clean and kept up. Let me restate, the staff was fabulous, the facility was gross. read more

Scheduled for an MRI here last Friday. Not overly close to my house, but the Sutter folks thought this facility would accommodate what was needed better. Very good experience. Everything went fine. They were timely. Staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. I needed an x-ray also, so did deal with several different staff members. All very professional. EVERY TIME I go to Sutter Imaging on Timberlake, I am SUPER-IMPRESSED by the professionalism of front-desk staff, particularly Martell. Always courteous, upbeat, professional and welcoming, Martell is the perfect example of what customer service embodies. I've experienced and witnessed him in action on 3 of my visits. The other staff in the building are new faces to me, but their quick service-with-a-smile was complementary to what I was used to seeing on prior visits. The 'culture' of the team is one of respect, professionalism and 'down-to-earthiness' (). To keep the review 'fair', some constructive criticisms I would offer are: one of the front desk clerk's confirmed patient information with street address names ("Do you live on Boxer Street?", for example... instead of asking the patient's numerical address identifier only... "do you still live at '4312'?" Or is your contact address still 881?, for example)... and I felt 'invasive' when I overheard personal health details being queried (do you take so-and-so-type meds? do you have this medical condition? or that one?) at the front counter. I guess I expect a little 'tighter' safeguarding of patient personal info (or maybe a quieter 'ask'?). When I registered at the back counter, the employee helping me used properly phrased questions to verify info and guard privacy... good going! Also: If a patient obviously speaks a primary language other than English (I.e. Vietnamese), the front desk clerk should ask if they understand what is being said... and if they need interpreter services. Also, verify if patient's can read before handing out paperwork. Understanding is key... and offers equal informational access to patients in the language of their understanding. Almost done: The ultrasound staff were very communicative with the first, next and last steps of the procedure/process. There was an intern there for the day who showed great aptitude for working with patients. The technician guiding her on the process was articulate and engaging. She gave the intern the proper 'space' to work and was clear in her communication. So many good things to say about the staff at Sutter Imaging South! Came here from Timberlake bedside it. This place was closed on a Monday around 11:30am with zero signs. Disappointed to find out they closed on MLk with no signs cause some of us waited thinking they closed for lunch. Then next day went to the one on J street like at 7pm and they said wait was an hour an half cause something about one machine. I drove to Laguna in Elk Grove and they had it done in 30 mins. It was that dreaded time of the year arrived once again, when women are urged to get a mammogram to help detect abnormalities that might otherwise not be found at their early stages. After my annual physical, I dutifully scheduled my mammogram appointment which I conveniently placed online on their website. I have been going to this location for several years, but recently discovered that RAS merged with Sutter and changed their name to Sutter Imaging. Everything other than the name seemed to be run about the same. Fortunately, my health insurance still covers me at this radiology center. But I did witness a poor woman who apparently wasn't aware of the change and found out that her insurance wasn't eligible here anymore. She was very distraught as to what to do, but one of the front office staff was very nice to her and made several phone calls on her behalf to help redirect the lady to another facility. I was impressed that they didn't just turn her away without expressing any concern. My mammogram experience however, was not as tolerable as last year's when I had a gentle and caring technician. This current technician was a little less personable. She does her job OK, but with a sterner attitude in a forced, polite way. I couldn't tell if she was really being nice or just trying to get through the procedure as quickly as possible. A speedy mammogram is all right by me, but the tissue squishing process was definitely more uncomfortable than my last exam as she issued commands directing me to hold myself in certain positions and sternly stating "DON'T MOVE"! She quickly asked me several questions in which I could barely get an answer out before she was asking the next question. Needless to say, I was happy to depart the building and return home when the whole ordeal was completed. It was such a relief to get this over with! And it was another relief to get the letter in the mail stating that I had a clear bill of health for another year! read more

Horrible ultrasound technician! Such a lack of compassion and no empathy towards the patient. Your in the business of helping people, it doesn't hurt to be a little nicer to people. So unnecessary. I brought my mother in for an ultrasound. Front desk receptionist was nice. The appointment scheduler on the phone told me that I can assist my mother as there was a language barrier. However the technician name of Gene was extremely rude. As I proceeded to walk back with my mother again there was a language barrier and my mother was not comfortable going on her own but Gene insisted in a rude way that only the patient was allowed in the back room and started walking away. As I tried to ask if there is anyone who can translate she was gone. She ended up coming out to get me so that my mother can ask me to translate a question to her anyways. read more

Sutter health has got to be the worse. I called their Dept over 20 times, no one to answer the phone. I called diff dept to bypass the 90 mins wait time. No one knows shxx. The ez check in is a bunch a baloney. The billing dept said we do not have that yet I had just used it and they want to scam me out of a copay and a coinsurance hmmm. One nurse tells me one thing and 3 others told me a different story....must be temps or travel nurses who had no training whatsoever. Pray for Jan 1st 2023, if they don't kill me by then. If you want to live and get proper care, you have other choices. OMG. Do these people in charge do anything except counting the $$$ they have to pay to others who use the legal system.God help us all. New bodies are strongly needed here..people who work from the heart.A grievance and an appeal take 30-60 days and what you say is far from the truth on paper. I had to come here again for an ultrasound, this time for a STAT breast ultrasound after having mastitis. The ultrasound tech Samantha squeezed me on to her schedule even though she was fully booked. She was very friendly and made an uncomfortable process very easy. I was VERY thankful to be squeezed in, as the alternative would've been an 8 hour wait at the ER. It was apparent that Samantha knew this, which is why I'm sure she squeezed me in on her already hectic day. It's amazing to see professionals in the medical field who obviously care a great deal about the patients they care for. read more

Visited this office in South Sacramento a few days ago. Office was very clean , quiet and plenty of comfy chairs to wait in. I was there for a scheduled CT Scan and was promptly helped by Amanda( representative at checkin window). She was courteous and helped me complete checkin with a ! I was seen , CT Scan completed and out the door in under 20mns! Very efficient office, knowledgeable staff and noticeably desire to make my day great! read more

Sandy Ducan is the reason I didn't walk out of there ! I was very scared and in tears ! I heard ugly stories ! The other Sandy was cold no compassion and scared me even more ! She's in the wrong field or needs to stay in the back office ! If you work in health care you need compassion !!!!! I don't see how I would have to wait for 2 whole hours to be seen when I set an appointment for 2:30!!!!! It is now 4:00 and I'm still sitting in the waiting room.
