Every morning I went to take a shower, there were two lovely Forest Service dressed ladies cleaning the restrooms and showers. They were smiling and pleasant. Yes. Some campers will mess up the restrooms which cannot be helped, but this campground was on it. Our restroom had 8 individual private showers, one was wheelchair accommodating. This park was paved and had well marked trails leading to Dunes, or across a sky bridge to the lake. The Dunes also had a small lake which you could rent Kayaks, paddle boats, and fishing poles. The park had many places for family reunions, or weddings. They also had a boat launch for both lakes, and a dump station. Oh yes! They also had garbage, recycling, and propane can recycling too. There were well marked signs of campsites, and warnings. This place was great!

Water and electricity at each site is functional. However the sites are close together and those along the river are all in parking lot style except for view of river. Bonus? Campground sits next to old town so walking around for shopping or meals is flat and easy access. Heceta lighthouse and beach and Seal cove are all nearby and worth a visit.

We were parked in the Fred Meyer parking lot when an employee came out and told us that the police would come tell us to move soon. After calling various inns and RV parks around town, we eventually just decided to try this place since we felt like we were out of options. The Camp Host Gavin met its outside around midnight and was not only very helpful but also extremely kind. He got us set up in a spot and we quickly went to sleep. The next morning, we met some of the staff and fellow campers who were equally as friendly. We even had a few people offer to help us dump our RV for the first time. It was generally a great environment and I wish we had spent more time there. There are a few RV spots right on the water that are probably the most sought after but this place is located right in town on the river. I highly recommend staying her

It may be great for those who want to get away from the busy life but we wanted to be closer to town. I think the bumpy road would be too difficult with an RV! Looks like they are doing road construction so it may get better. 3 stars because it is off the road to Haceta Beach. I had no internet at the park so I checked in on the road to it.

Wanda was fabulous in taking our…read morereservation, hooking us up with a Good Sam membership, and securing a beautiful pull-in site, which came in handy after arriving late on Friday after a very stressful work day. The owners and caretakers do such an incredible job keeping this property clean and maintained. Bathrooms and showers are meticulously cleaned daily. They also have a great mini-mart on premises for forgotten items, such as ice, firewood, and a bottle of decent Pinot Gris! Our site was perfect for our 20 foot trailer and truck. Decent internet enabled us to watch movies on the one mostly rainy day of our stay. There was adequate privacy, plus nearby green space to take our dog. This park is literally a five minute walk to the beach, and a short drive to the quaint, cool, and cute Old Town Florence with lovely restaurants and shops. If you want to get some quick bites and brews within walking distance, Jerry's is just a few minutes away (and the sidewinders are totally worth it!). A big thank you to Heceta Beach RV Park! We're already looking forward to our next visit!

It's been years since I've been camping, so I was excited to connect again on our first family…read morecamping trip in Oregon. With the temperatures expected to hit 106 in Salem, it seemed like the perfect time to get away. I lost my wifi signal halfway to Florence and wasn't sure I was headed the right direction, but followed the signs and eventually made it to the coast. We had three sites reserved, and enough supplies for a week. Each site has enough space for at least 2 tents, maybe three, depending upon size. You're allowed 2 cars per site, one included with your reservation. Any additional vehicles must pay $8 / day, which they'll come around to collect or remind you about. There are several grocery stores and restaurants in the area if you forget something, but it seems towels were in short supply when a friend went to go look for one. Each site includes a picnic table and firepit with a grill top. My brother brought a plancha grill top that made cooking for our group a breeze! What to bring: closed toe shoes & socks for the trails, fishing pole and raft for the lake, ear plugs and face mask if you're a light sleeper, and extra TP. The facilities were a hole in the ground locked bathroom with hand sanitizer (and flies everywhere). I found the flushable toilet by the lake to be worth the walk and much cleaner (less traffic). Nice walking trails and shaded areas. I wish we could've stayed a few more days!

Their WiFi is terrible, drops often, and not fast enough to stream to substitute for no TV. At $72 per night, it isn't worth it. I will note, we've been coming there since 2014. We've always liked the owners. But, unfortunately, we won't go back.

This is the second time we've camped here and still love the park as much as we did two years ago…read more First of all it is a campground with most sites among the trees with water and electric only. We love the forested setting, for those who prefer sunny sites there some with more sun exposure. We have a 36' MH and tow a car and easily fit into our back in site. When checking in the very friendly staff member told us about all the improvements going on, such as the refurbished sports court, the pool is up and running, the lodge near pool is refurbished (looks updated). They also updated bathrooms in a couple of sections and are in the process of updating other sections now. There is a medium sized dog park with plenty of bags and lots of room around the park to walk your pups. One of the other reasons we love this park it is close to so many great activities and Florence. We adore this little coastal town especially old town. There are tourist but it's not over run, you can set outside at one the local restaurants an people watch, have view of the bridge and water way. The town offers a fabulous selection of restaurants along is quaint street with floral baskets lining it. Some of our favorites include Nosh, Maris and Restrobar. Some of the fun adventures you can do include a dune buggy ride (company right by park), visit the miles of dunes, Sea Lion Caves, head South to Coos Bay or other beach towns. The State Park near by offers a fresh water lake you can swim in or other water sports. Watch people try sand boarding or try it yourself. Florence park will always be one our locations to stop while in the area, my only regret this time is we didn't schedule a longer stay.

They have a few row of permanents but also spaces for people with reservations and possibly a few reserved for those without. You could not ask for a better staff of Amy and her daughter Sandy! They do an excellent job! They are very kind, sincere, accommodating, helpful and really go the extra mile to help you. The maintenance crew does a wonderful job keeping everything cleaned, tidied and trimmed. They have a sign up sheet for laundry so you have 3 washers & dryers at your disposal. There is a 2 hour time slot for yourself to get clothes done. I would highly recommend this wonderful RV Park. We stored our RV in front of the RV park for many years so it was wonderful to hook up and drive around the corner into the park. We have stayed there many years until we sold our RV last year.

But when I tried calling from the kitchen of the cabin to ask about dishwasher detergent, I couldn't get an answer then either. I would definitely return!!
