We occasionally buy groceries from suvidha. Our last purchase was mutton i.e. Goat meat. We were repeatedly informed about the freshness of the produce with statements like this is only a day old. The cooked meat tasted stale, and 1 day before the Thanksgiving break our entire family is having stomach issues. This has happened to us previously when we bought some sweets. We now sample every sweet prior to purchase. Cannot do that easily with meat. These people lie and prospective customers should be careful. read more

Suvidha Grocery in Kennesaw has recently changed store managers, and unfortunately, the return policy is highly disappointing for customers. Despite attempting to return a can of oil in its original sealed condition, the store refused the return on two grounds: 1) returns are not accepted beyond 10 days and 2) items on sale cannot be returned, even if they're not damaged. This restrictive policy is inconvenient and unfair, especially when the product is perfectly sealed. Customers should be aware of these rigid rules before shopping, as it may impact your purchasing decisions and overall experience negatively. Many would expect more customer-friendly service from a local grocery store. According to the State of Georgia, retailers are allowed to set their own return and refund policies. However, these policies must be made clear and conspicuously displayed to customers prior to purchase. I did not notice any such display or specific mention in their bill/receipt The store's policy was not clearly posted or was misleading at the point of sale. The Georgia's Fair Business Practices Act (O.C.G.A. §§ 10-1-390 et seq.), prohibits unfair or deceptive business practices in consumer transactions. This is a clear violation of our Consumer rights. read more

A great place easily located off the 515 frwy North of Atlanta. For anyone looking for that unusual special ingredient for any recipe from India, this store will have it. I purchased beautiful fresh okra. Coconut powder, beautifully packaged cardamom seeds, fennel seeds, star anise, cumin seeds, chicken curry masala, dosa podi, and of course fresh ginger root. Surprisingly, I decided this store is the Indian version of Costco. Finding smaller quantities of items seemed to be a challenge. As this was only my second visit, I'm not familiar with the store. It was like pulling teeth to find help. One gentleman newly arrived from Andhra Pradesh, finally got off his phone behind a register to help find a couple things. He with his broken English & me with my non-existent Telegu, somehow managed to share a few life experiences; and when I left he was smiling. read more

Went today to look for some ethnic foods. I love Indian food and like to try different things. They have plenty, but still I was not so impressed with the store. They had all kinds of spices and a good selection of rice, frozen foods even some beauty product. Seems like they have a great Halal meat section that had several customers waiting on line. So maybe I need to educate myself before I go back. read more

So happy that SIP Groceries have moved into their new location in the same shopping center as Walmart, Sweet Hut and Dollar Tree. The new location means easier to access and a bigger brighter location. Their old location was behind the Olive Garden's in the Marshall's shopping center. It was a pain to get in and out of.... I come to SIP's for their fresh produce and their British teas. They also sell bulk spices and ready to eat fresh food in their deli department. One new feature that wasn't available at their old location is a halal meat department. A shout out to the department manager Michael for brighten everyone's day with his enthusiasm and cheerfulness! This place is very unprofessional. They have phone line to order for the meat department but never answers. You talk to customer service to get a hold of the meat department but same poor rude manner from the agents. I refuse to ever give my business again. They are running a business in America but have the same Indian mentality. Very disappointing and disgusting. read more

This is a clean, well-stocked Indian store! I can find lots of Indian and Pakistani groceries, including fresh veggies and fruit, spices galore, and other household items originating from the Indo-Pak region (think: Isaphgol, Himalaya, and Vatika). The items overall are decently priced, though anything imported is of course a little more on the expensive side. They have some pre-cooked items and sweets on the side which you can order at the counter to go. Never tried it but I see everyone going there so it definitely gets it share of the store traffic. There is a halal meat counter which sells chicken, mutton and beef! The people who run the store are very nice too and are always helpful in finding what you need. Definitely a breath of fresh air from the typical (lack of) standard of a Desi grocery store. read more

Was so happy and elated to discover this store , took 1 pic to share with people / Indian family and friends back home but was yelled (was startled and nearly had a heart attack) at by a person wearing a turban telling me to get out . He accused me of taking the pic of the price for malicious reasons. Tried to explain but he just walked away. Usually I post pics along with my review , so for this one it's just going to be a pic of the floor mat. There goes my happy discovery of a grocery gem. I was treated very rudely by a man using a turban who work there! I didn't know it was forbidden to take picture, so I took a picture to show my family (since was the first time I was in a Indian market) and he demanded that I erased the picture! He also demanded to see my photo gallery to check if I am actually had erased "all" the images I had taken! The problem it was not erase the picture, it was how he treat the situation! We were so happy to find this place. Definitely it was the first and the last time. Learn how you treat the clients!!! read more

When in the Atlanta area I always try to stock up on my ethnic supplies, including Indian, and Suvidha Indo-Pak Groceries just happens to be very convenient to where I am staying usually. They have all sorts spices, pickles (my fav), rices, and other Indian favorites; they even have a place in the back of the store where you can pick up some pre-made Indian meals; I usually grab some biryani when I go in there and make 2 or 3 meals out of it. read more

I moved to Marietta area about 2 months ago, been looking for an Indian store for a long time, was aware of the international market in Decatur area, but heck that is one congested driving I don't want to do, so asked a few coworkers and Indian looking strangers and all suggested Suvidha. Really a nice, clean grocery store, pretty much filled with the stuff I like to eat and cook with. Sweets, junk snacks, fresh produce-- yes! I walked aisle to aisle and found my hair oil and frozen samosas. Inexpensive, the workers were not Indian so asking them about a particular chutney would be useless. I think I am still used to my home based grocery store where the cashiers are local Indian, talk to their customers in the native desi tongue, and suggest brand names. Sorry Suvidha you lost a star for that. But overall a good place for a newbie resident to grocery shop. read more

This is the only real Indian grocery outside of Decatur (Patel Brothers). It's located in the oddest location in a busy strip mall and for some time I over looked it. Their shelves are well stocked and they have a decent stock of fresh veggies. Too bad they don't have milk and eggs, I might not need to go to another grocer. Indians, and Pakistanis have never been much for customer service, and they lose money unknowingly. I referred a couple of colleagues here and they were turned off because of the service. So if you can get past that, then you can find many treasures, at lower prices than other markets. Also, the chat Cafe in the back isn't too bad. Try the papdi chat (the a in chat and papdi is pronounced like the o in hot) then you can order like a pro, it's sweet spicy, crunchy and vegetarian. read more

*****BEWARE***** THEY WILL STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION!!!!! I went to this location twice, and both times my credit card was compromised. The first time was on March 7, 2019 and later that day I had a charge on my card for an Amazon purchase. My card was shut down by the bank and I had to get a new card. The second time I went there was on March 11, 2019. After using my card there, it was then attempted to be used in Texas and in Illinois. Both transactions were denied by my bank and my card was again shut down. This is the only time in my life that I have had any issues with credit card fraud, and both times were immediately after shopping at this store. Coincidence? If you believe in coincidences, then feel free to take your chances, but I'll be following up with the police. read more

New location is much better. The staff is good. Mostly the vegitables are fresh. Items are kept well in frozen section. People who are very choosy should think about other customers too. People literaly damage vegitables while selecting. Staff should pay more attention and stop these type of customers from damaging goods. read more

Service has really fallen down in this place. Mandeep or the manager has lost his customer service skill. Quality of vegetables has gotten poor along with many expired items so do check before checking out. Also I've witnessed the staff picking up dropped vegetables and throwing it back in the bin. I've been using henna on my hair for almost a year and was buying pricey BAQ henna from Mehandi and sites like that. Then I started buying off Amazon, which was fine until I discovered this place. Holy cow, I got a 500g bag of henna mixed with amla, coffee, and other herbs for $5. They also have amla, shikakai, and other hair herbs all dirt cheap. There were several people waiting outside for the store to open when I arrived so apparently it's a popular place. My only complaint is that they didn't have indigo. If you're going to carry all the other hair supplies, indigo would be terrific too. read more

My new favorite store! Wonderful stock of indian, asian as well as middle east ingredients. Awesome pricing on spices and produce as well. I will not even buy certain produce at Kroger, Publix anymore. Things like lemons and limes are much cheaper as well as herbs like cilantro (3 bunches for $1) and fresh mint ($1) and often things like tomatoes (plum tomatoes were $.99/lb versus $2.99 at Publix this week). They also have the best pita bread that I have found in the south (my grandmother was Syrian and made it homemade so I know the best!) Indian food is getting very popular (especially now with the electronic pressure cookers - aka Instant Pot), so I am seeing a lot more "diversity" in this store!! read more

I visited them yesterday and a lady was complaining about quality of food and owner Mandeep was arguing with her very unreasonably instead of being apologetic. I ordered two vegetarian dishes and when I used them next day they were stinking stale. Very well stocked with Indian groceries. It is small to navigate with a cart but they keep it neat and organized. They frequently have store sales/promotions (e.g., Diwali specials, BOGO, etc.) on various items. I prefer their produce prices over Kroger/Walmart, etc. However, it is not organic, if that's what u are looking for. Cheaper here to buy garlic...sleeve of 5 garlic heads usually $1.50. Sometimes u can get 2/ $2.00. Their fresh basil, mint, fresh curry leaves are just $1.00 each, can't beat it. Excellent selection for bagged rices, esp. Basmati rice. We've purchased their cooked Biryani before (near frozen aisle), not too bad. Their prepared snack foods (near cashier) are quite tasty. Not the same as a restaurant but this is, after all, a grocery store so we understood! Huuuge selection of spices (whole and ground), prepared spice mix packets, curry pastes, ghee, oils, etc. My favorite: fresh cilantro...3 bunches for $1.00!! I've moved out of the area but still travel for my Indian groceries. Havent found an Indo/Pak store this decent outside of Gwinnett!! read more
