I looked for my wedding dress at Suzanne's and despite not finding my match there, I was so pleased with the kind service that I decided to get my bridesmaid dresses at Suzanne's. Every time I have been in the store I have been greeted with a friendly face ready to help. They didn't hover over me while I shopped but ensured that I had everything I needed and check in regularly. Even when I couldn't physically go in to the store, the owner Heidi, is GREAT about quick communication. She responded to my emails within 24 hours and, frankly, has responded to me multiple times while I am still trying to get a response from the place I bought my dress. During the COVID-19 crisis she had reached out to her customers with weddings to ensure them she is on top of things to help ease tension in these stressful times. Since so many mentioned my review in theirs, I feel the need to update this. I got engaged a year later and married, and this experience is why I wouldn't have considered this business. Everything said here is accurate, alteration appointments were not missed by the bridesmaids. My dress did not fit the day of my friends wedding despite making all of the appointments, it was sliding off without safety pins. 9 years later, I still feel the way we were treated was unacceptable. We were yelled at in front of a packed room of customers. There was nothing about it that was polite or professional, I felt like I was being scolded for trying to go up the steps when there wasn't even a sign or any indication that we weren't allowed to. We were a pretty easy going group of girls, and it doesn't take much to impress us... just be kind. I hope things have changed, but regardless my experience was what it was. read more

I went to Suzanne's for alterations for my wedding dress that I had already bought elsewhere. Heidi did a great job, paid a lot of attention to detail, was patient with me, and charged a much lower price than I've seen quotes for elsewhere. I almost overlooked Suzanne's until a friend recommended I give it a shot. Suzanne's was the first of three bridal salons I was scheduled to go to, and I found THE dress right away. I only even kept the rest of my appointments for the day to not disappoint my friends who were planning on meeting us. I went back to buy the dress the next morning. What really seals the deal with Suzanne's is the excellent job they do with alterations. I loved my dress when I originally tried it on, but when I saw it fully fitted to me, I never wanted to take it off. I have never felt so confident and secure in a strapless dress. On my wedding day I never once had to adjust myself. The dress I ended up with, as well as the other ones I tried on, were very reasonably priced cheaper than the higher end bridal boutiques, but more than a lot of what you would find at David's Bridal. The prices of alterations are on par with a place like David's Bridal. However, I do feel like the quality of services makes it completely worthwhile, and so does supporting a small business. Horrible service! They ordered all my girls dresses to big. WAY too big. My 10yr old junior bridesmaids they ordered an ADULT 16. My dress was an 8... I'm a 0. They're ignorant to their customers. They insulted my maid of honor in a dress we picked out. Unprofessional. Their return policy is garbage and they refuse to make their mistakes right. read more

I wanted to review this store after seeing the post from the disgruntled bridesmaid ....I went to Suzanne's for my wedding dress in January 2010 - I was married in October 2010. I looked for a bit and found a dress that I loved - except it was strapless and I really wanted cap sleeves! The response was: Oh, we can make that happen! I do remember the lady telling me that I could not look upstairs without someone present and honestly I didn't think anything of it. Wedding dresses are expensive and any store you go to will want to supervise. They don't want people trying on dresses without assistance possibly damaging them in some way. I think of wedding dress boutiques the same way as a jewelry store - it's full of expensive merchandise- you're not shopping for jeans at kohl's! A few months later - the result was perfect, the seamstress actually turned a strapless dress and turned it into a dress with cap sleeves and a sweetheart neckline....loved my dress and working with the seamstress. She was honest and straightforward and she is excellent at what she does. She told me it was important to cooperate and show up for all the alterations- I was surprised this is even an issue but apparently people get really sloppy with their appointments. I definitely got the impression that they were not desperate for my business so I assumed they must be good. I don't need people to kiss my butt - I just want quality work. After talking over the alterations I was right - she knows her stuff. I never felt uncomfortable and the ordering/payment process was super smooth. I was very happy and I had several friends who after my experience decided to go there for their dresses too. I'm from Baltimore and had lots of stores to choose from but for me - Suzanne's was just right. read more

I had my wedding dress altered at Suzanne's, they were amazing. Even with the short notice, we started the process about a month and a half out from the wedding! They were very accomodating and even worked with my schedule for all of the fittings! The mother of the groom even ended up buying a dress from them last minute and they were able to alter it that day for her! They even made a sash for her out of the extra material so that she could tie her dress up to be able to do an irish step dance! AGAIN they were amazing! The staff was awesome, even on busy days they were always smiling and greeting everyone that came in. By far they had the best prices as well! We drove over an hour to get there each time we went. I recommend Suzanne's to everyone I talk to who is getting married. read more

I've been to dozens of bridal stores as I have been in almost thirty weddings and this was by far the best location I have found. The sales clerks do not work on commission and she was great. She found tons of dresses in my size and price range. I would definitely go back. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was the upstairs room was extremely hot when we were there this spring. I was so sweaty that the dresses stuck to me and it made it harder to get them off and on. Still, for the money they were amazing. If you want a decent selection and styles with a laid back approach this is a great place to start. read more

I honestly have nothing good to say about my experience with this bridal shop. I got my alterations done here, I went for my final fitting three day's before my wedding,when I picked my dress up,and tried it on I noticed when they altered the strap's they were barely hanging on my shoulders,so I spent the whole day pulling those up.I kept stepping on the hem because they altered that wrong as well.They charged me $209 for the alterations and they didn't even do them right. everytime I went in I felt uncomfortable,they sometimes would make me feel like I was taking up to much of their time,and make me feel rushed.My sister's bought their dresses there and also got their alterations done by the same girl's,they were given a specific price,but when they picked them up they were charged more,and their dresses didn't fit right either the day of the wedding.This is not the experience a bride,or bridal party should have,period. read more
