I got the Simply Strawberry -- fresh strawberries, strawberry sauce, maple syrup, brown sugar, and whipped cream -- and it was just as good as I remembered. My daughter ordered the Campfire Crepe, basically a s'mores-inspired crepe, and it was delicious and huge. One thing I always enjoy here is being able to watch the crepes being made fresh right in front of you. The husband cooks everything right there, and the service is always quick and friendly. Prices do seem a little higher than before, but honestly with the way everything is right now, it's understandable considering the portion sizes and quality. I was recently at a gathering where a vegetarian crepe from Suzette Crepe Cafe was ordered for me on my behalf in a group takeout order. They got me a Florence crepe, which had spinach, mushroom, and Monterey Jack cheese. It tasted great without feeling too cheesy. It was slightly softer than I would prefer, but that is usually the issue with to-go in general because the time between when the food is made and when it's eaten is longer than at the restaurant. I was glad they used the fiber to-go boxes and that I didn't get any utensils because I didn't want any. Overall, I would like to get this again as a delicious vegetarian meal (since I've been cutting down my meat consumption). I really like Suzette. Have had various brunch and dinner crepes in the savory buckwheat crepe and some dessert crepes on the sweet crepe. It's a mix of styles, and the kind of crepes you could eat daily. Not as pegged to European styles as other options in the east bay and San Francisco, and I'm okay with that. There are good options in the area if that's what you really want. Portions are generous without being over, but not delicate or precious in a way that leaves you hungry after. My visit at Suzette Crepe cafe was my first. It's a husband and wife team and the cafe seats about 25-30 so it's not a big space. It's very clean and decorated nicely. The service was very nice and friendly. In fact, a customer spilled their hot drink and the wife came over to clean it up and made another drink for her. I ordered The Boston Crepe with egg, bacon bits and cheddar cheese. It was a very simple plating, but it was very tasty. I will have to return a few times to try the other items on the menu. There are both sweet and savory crepes, salads, and hot and cold drinks. I will definitely return and I would recommend this cafe especially if want something a little different. read more

Such a sweet restaurant with adorable interior to replicate a French cafe environment. The little interior cafe awning over the register really seals the deal. I ordered an oat milk hot chocolate and the oat milk was steamed perfectly-- most restaurants dont bother to steam a non-espresso so i LOVED this touch. The gentleman at the register asked if I wanted it sweeter or less sweet, which I really appreciate because I like a less sweet drink. It was sweet but balanced nicely because it was so hot and well mixed. I drank this before I could get a photo! I also ordered the vegetarian crepe and it came out hot and perfect. If what other reviewers say is true, and that these crepes are authentically French, I don't know what I've been doing all these years at Crepevine, Crepeville, and all of those other blasé crepe chains-- Suzette Crepe Cafe just blows them all out of the water... Do I like French food now? For COVID safety purposes, masks are required and hand sanitizer is provided. Interior is cozy and local, very homey. Plenty of savory, sweet, and veggie-friendly options, all named after cities. We ordered and took a seat outside-- our crepes arrived at the table at around 30 mins. ACAPULCO: The orange sauce is a mystery. Try it!! Pairs brilliantly with the chicken and avocado. I also appreciate that their crepe is toasted enough to crisp the edges without making each bite a crumb-flinging mess. LATTE: Great coffee! I luv chonky mugs. Makes me feel like I'm drinking down a warm bowl of coffee soup. Not too sweet, not too bitter, and perfectly caffeinated. I like that there are a number of power outlets situated on the bench seating as well -- perfect for long work session. Yum! Who doesn't love a good crepe, am I right? I checked this place out the other week during the Albany Solano Stroll, so I think the line and wait time was probably a little abnormal lol. Still, though, the wait wasn't too bad. I got, I think, the Albany crepe, which was a classic ham and swiss, with additional mushrooms and bechemel sauce. This truly is the best of a savory crepe!! Suzette's Crepes is a hidden gem and I'm so glad to have randomly stumbled upon it! We did not expect how delicious every dish would be. It may not look like it, but it's not your average crepe place! I usually don't order savory crepes, but I'm so glad I did from here. I ordered the Berkeley savory crepe which includes: mushroom with eggplant, spinach, pesto sauce, goat cheese and coke with a side salad. It was the perfect level of crispy. The cheese was not overpowering. I usually don't like eggplant but it tasted really well together with all the other ingredients. The orange juice ($7) was freshly squeezed and not too overpoweringly sweet. Finally, the Apple Delight. Tasted a lot like apple pie! Came such a nostalgic taste, it wasn't too sweet either which was great. Seems like it's also a good spot to sit, study, or do work in. I really wish I could give more stars for this please, since there's so many good reviews, but I'm only giving 3 stars. I've waited so many years to come to this place, especially me originally from El Cerrito, and Albany being next-door. Finally, I have stepped into this place with my husband. I was so happy to order a savory crêpe. Honestly, the crêpe was good, but surprisingly not filling, even though there was a lot of different ingredients inside. Actually, not worth the price. I actually didn't like the fact that when the owner's relative/friend came inside, they just started chatting. Maybe they both own the place/work there, but that's not professional, in front of customers. They were just chatting about all kinds of things. The owner never seemed to ask if our food was good or anything like that, even though we were sitting right in front of her across from the other table. There was only literally maybe 4 customers, including my husband and I. This threw me off. Nice, decent size café. I like the decorations. I also like the fact that I could grab a freshly squeezed orange juice from the rack, ready. Overall, I'm highly disappointed, because I waited all these years to come here, to find out that I'm just disappointed. That's just too bad.
