Met a girlfriend here for lunch on a Thursday. We walked in at 12 and it got pretty busy after that. Ordering was pretty easy once we got to the counter (one register). The menu selection is quite overwhelming with choices, but having the variety is great! We each ordered something savory and I ordered a dessert crepe too. I was going to get it to go, but they don't do "make later" orders when it is busy. We sat outside and it took longer than we expected to get our food (30 minutes from when we walked in the door to when we got our food). It all came out appropriately hot, so it was fine. And we were there to chat and catch up, so it worked out. The dessert crepe came out hot so we ended I'm eating that first!! Life is too short to not eat the good stuff first. Hahahah. I ordered the chicken curry crepe with a salad and it did not disappoint. I ate half and saved the second half for dinner. The salad dressing was VERY light. My gf ordered a sandwich and soup. Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Very Busy, line out the door but it moved fast. Challenge finding a table inside (packed) but outdoor seating is available (windy). We ordered a savory vegetarian crepe "the Californian" with excellent side of herbed potatoes and a Vegan sweet Apple Caramel crepe filled with thinly sliced apples. Lunch savory crêpe was much bigger than the sweet crêpe which was more of a dessert, crêpe and slightly smaller, it doesn't come with the side of anything except a dollop of whipped cream. Both good. We lucked out with quickly getting a nearby spot & joined the line around the side of the building. The line moved at a decent pace. There are 2 sections of indoor seating & some outdoor seating along the sidewalk with some of it covered. Signage is posted to wait until you have an order number to find seating, but it appeared a few parties didn't honor that. You order at the counter inside & find a table. The menu is on big boards above with some items displayed on smaller boards on the counter. Handheld menus are also available. Specials were on a board by the door. The style inside is older & worn with character. There are big windows, but with all the dark wood, it didn't feel bright where we sat. Faint music plays, but is mostly obscured by the sound of fellow diners who are at tables that are situated closely. Tables have padded chair & wooden bench seating. After months of avoiding the daunting line at this place, my boyfriend and I finally braved the wait to try it, and it was honestly worth it! The line actually moved decently quickly to get to the counter to order and pay. Food took a little while to come out but it did not disappoint. We ordered a lot for two people -- the chicken pesto crepe, the Crepeville French toast, and a half order of the sweet date salad. Everything was absolutely delicious! I especially loved that the French toast had a banana bread base. The salad was refreshing and had a variety of textures. Oh my gosh, I love Crepeville. It is seriously one of the best spots ever. From the breakfast potatoes to the bacon to the strawberry Nutella crepes, everything is so good and I end up getting the same thing every time. My friends usually get the pesto chicken sandwich and that is also really good. But I cannot stress enough how amazing the breakfast potatoes are. I wish I could take them everywhere with me. This is such a great spot in Davis. If you can get past the line, it is 100 percent worth it. I love going for an early Sunday brunch or even lunch depending on the vibe. read more

We came here for brunch. There aren't many savory crepe options in Solano County so we made the drive to Davis. Crepeville seems very popular. The line goes out the door. But they seem organized. There are signs asking people to not take seats until they've ordered. So we didn't have any issues finding a table. They have a covered outdoor sidewalk patio area in addition to the indoor seating. Indoor seating is a mix of various sized tables and window/bar like seating. The system is order at the counter and take a number. There is a water dispenser on the left side and to go boxes in the area where food pick up is. We ordered the savory crepe with a side of the sweet date salad, honey lemon blitz, the Marseilles crepe, another savory crepe I forgot the name of, and a mimosa. Total was about $60. I loved the savory crepe! It was delicious. Despite being covered in pesto it didn't taste too heavy. The salad was the perfect side to balance out the savory with some sweetness and crunch. I would have left very full and happy after only that. The mimosa was a bit strong. But that can be good! It was served in a regular glass and not a wine glass. It was tasty. For about $7.50 it's well worth it. The sweet crepes weren't as impressive as the savory crepes in my opinion. The tastes were very subtle. It wasn't as sweet as I was expecting or wanted. Even after asking for them to fix it the owner didn't even bother to give an apology for his error. I ordered a full sizes salmon salad and wanted to make it a Combo for $3.00 and add a cup of soup. This location can also get really crowded in the morning and during the weekends because it is very popular for brunch and casual chatting. Ordered the California Crepe and the Chicken Pesto Crepe which were both good. The chicken pesto's chicken was a little on the dry side which was okay. I have been here twice already and their food is always good. Last time, I ordered the chicken fettuccine and the sauce tasted homemade. I also got the apple crepe with it and it was DELICIOUS. It also came with free garlic bread which is always nice. This time I got the soup and salad combo and even that simple combo was bomb! For the combo, I got their "soup of the day" which was chicken gumbo, fuji salad, and raspberry blintz crepe for desert. Which was a lot for a random Friday lunch from work but I thought I should spoil myself that day lol I thought the gumbo soup consistency could be a little thicker but still delicious. They definitely didn't cheapen out on the meat. It was packed with chicken pieces and andouille sausage. For the salad, I got a fuji salad. The caramelized walnuts were the star in this salad. I know it's just a salad, but what a difference those walnuts made! It definitely went well with the vinaigrette sauce. The Raspberry blintz crepe was packed with a respberry filling inside which I thought was quite sour and on top of that, what I thought was whip cream on the side was sour cream. So it was sour on sour. The crepe itself was perfect in taste and consistency, just needs to adjust the filling or change the sour scream to whip cream to balance it out. I definitely prefer the apple crepe over this. Lastly, the service was superb. The servers were very attentive and since I could not eat all of the crepe, I asked for a side of whip cream and they kindly gave me a cup container of it which I thought was very generous of them. A few years ago I went Gluten Free due to health issues and was devastated to be unable to have my crepes anymore... A few months ago I was in with my mom and incidentally discovered that they are now serving gluten free crepes as well as other GF options! AND the gluten free crepes taste just the same. Now every time I'm in I cry happy tears being able to eat one of my favorite meals. It is a really wonderful experience when a business takes the time to accommodate GF needs. What I get: Pesto crepe with side salad, PB & Nutella crepe with bananas. I've been dying to know the secret recipe to the delicious vinaigrette they put on the salad. Came in on a very rainy Sunday morning with our 3 and 6 year old. It was very busy. A waiter handed us menus, so we sat briefly at a table to look them over and keep out of the crowded entrance. Another waiter came over a short time later and told us we needed to get up because other people had already waited in line and ordered, we explained that my husband was actively in line and even pointed him out. Despite that, we were still told to leave our seats. My jaw was on the floor. I asked, "so we are getting kicked out of our seats?" And the waiter just replied, "sorry we others have already ordered." We left without ordering. One of our children was in tears from hunger, and the entire interaction was embarrassing and upsetting. Ironically, the crowded entrance and long line were already a safety concern and would not be acceptable by a Fire Marshall. Apparently, don't sit down until you've ordered at this establishment otherwise you'll get kicked out of your seat. I emailed the company after we left advising them of this experience and never heard back which shows how much they care. Busy mornings happen, but this was handled poorly and without basic courtesy. The portions are large; I could only finish about half of my crepe. Our food came out quickly and piping hot, and our waiter was friendly and cheerful. One of the places I use to frequent in the Bay Area was Crepevine and Piedmont's former Crepevine Crepe Pan. I am not sure if this also use to be a Crepevine but they have a very similiar menu and vibe, and I am here for it. The menu is large. You can get breakfast, salads, sandwiches, savory and sweet desserts. There's really something for everyone. Anywhere I can get a crepe with strawberry and nutella crepe, I'm a happy camper. The chicken breast sandwich was great. The house potatoes...I mean you can't go wrong with potatoes. I can't wait to try out more of their menu. There's indoor and outdoor seating. My wife and I ordered the Denver crepe to share and a Nutella and Strawberry crepe to go. Both were delicious. Back to the service.
