Amazing gluten free Jamaican sweet crepe

Overhead "let me go squeeze that right now for you;" a testament to the quality and commitment to good food this place has. Gluten free and super delicious. Bookmarking as a favorite because it's local, great service, great food and VERY popular. I want to come back until I try everything on the menu.

Reached at the cafe around noon and there was about 12-15 minutes wait before someone attended. Once seated, order took about 30 minutes to arrive, but the food was worth it. The Santorini crepe was a standout - perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and loaded with nuts. Definitely a must-try! The Abruzzo pasta had great flavor as well; while it was slightly undercooked for my preference, the taste itself was really good. There was plenty of seating, which made the experience comfortable and relaxed. Overall, a great spot and one I'd happily visit again.

My lil dude had a day off from school so it was the perfect opportunity to get some pancakes in our tummies. We rolled up to Mavericks' mid rain pour and the place was absolutely packed for a Monday. The staff was busy but that didn't stop them from being super friendly and helpful. They knew folks' names and took the time to chat and ask how folks were doing. 'T was cozy. The menu put us in a tough conundrum because everything sounded delicious even for a vegetarian. I eventually settled on the Eggs Blackstone while my kid opted for an "adventurous" grilled cheese. I added a pumpkin pancake because it's a pumpkin pancake and how can you not. All of it came out delicious. The pancake especially will be something I will still think about often. Can't wait to try their crepes next.

Holy Crêpe! Locally-owned crêperie that began in 2018, and was later bought by two local sisters back in 2021. Mavericks is named after the local famous surf spot/surfing contest, and focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients and "casual, slow food." The Good: *Great location right off the PCH in the same shopping center as New Leaf and away from DTHMB, which can get crazy busy. *Free, large shared parking lot *Dog-friendly outdoor dining *Fast casual order and pay at the counter. *Great service by whom I believe was one of the owners, Xenia. She had great patience for our hemming and hawing and a fantastic sense of humor. *Veg-head friendly menu *Gluten-free crêpes available *Sweet and savory crêpes *Nice selection of Italian food, as well, if you're not hankering for a crêpe. *Small but quality selection of bottled beers and wine. *Beer-battered fries were fantastic. Just get 'em. *They don't skimp on the crêpe fillings *My Milano crêpe was fresh, cheesy, and seasoned beautifully. My only wisdom was I wish I had added some bacon in it, as that would've really sealed the deal. *Sweet crêpes were also on point, with great tasting fillings and not too sweet. Plus, I mean Nutella, so... yeah. The Meh: *I didn't care as much for the gluten-free crêpes as much as the gluten-loaded ones. They seemed a bit more firm, which is probably due to the almond flour. The Ugly: *Not that large and can fill up fast during busy hours, but well worth the wait. Conclusion: Delicious crêpes, great service, and a fun, casual environment.

4.5 stars! The service was absolutely amazing, everyone was super friendly. I got the Riviera crepe with a side of potatoes and chicken apple sausage. The potatoes were seasoned well, but I prefer mine a bit crispier. The crepe was delicious, no notes there. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area or visiting!

Nice cozy breakfast spot off the main road. Lots of selection and big portions plenty for sharing. Not pictured was the fluffy waffles the kids had. Was not a big fan of the country potatoes but very filling meal. The friendly host offered great service.

Out of town for a wedding and saw on Yelp this place had good reviews and a wide selection of food for brunch. I got a fruit bowl, it comes in a medium size bowl; you definitely your moneys worth, and included a wide variety of fresh fruit (grapes, blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, honey dew, and cantaloupe). In addition I ordered a side of Maple bacon, the strips were long and thick. To drink I ordered an Arnold Palmer; fresh lemonade and brewed tea; and a mimosa. For the mimosa they used Chandon Brut and the orange juice appeared to be freshly squeezed. Everything we ordered was delicious and used quality ingredients that were very noticeable. You walk up to the counter to place your order, take a number and pick your table. The interior is very warm and welcoming. Plenty of seating for solo or party's of two, four or six. Customer service was super friendly and checked in on us multiple times. I absolutely loved my first visit and will for sure be back when in the area again.

But I ain't worried 'bout it right now (right now) French toast alive, 1999, heroes... Talk to me Goose about breakfast that is. 5/5 Customer Service. Order and pay at the counter. Cashier was very patient with me given the fact that I was so tired and hungry. I've been craving French toast all week and finally got my fix. I know it's a crepe place but I can't pass on FT. Very nice inside or you can sit outside. 5/5 Maverick Breeze was perfect. After drinking coffee in the morning I needed something refreshing and this hit the spot. Mixture of OJ, Carrots, Lemon, Honey and Ginger. 5/5 Parking. Plenty of it. Although on the weekend it can get a bit chaotic. After coming here twice I'll make it a stop when in Half Moon. Be patient during the weekends as it can get very full. But don't worry Ghost Rider the pattern isn't always full. God bless

We had mavericks catered for a baby shower and it was perfect! The food was delicious and aesthetically packaged which i loved. Mavericks was able to provide mains, sides, desserts and drinks. My personal favorites were the quiche, salad and coffee cake. The mom to be loved the desserts. The food was delivered fresh and on time, and the owners were so sweet and easy to work with. I highly recommend mavericks catering!

My partner and I love to get the breakfast burrito from Mavericks Crepe Cafe! It's always fresh and our go to option. It pairs well with orange juice as well! The service is amazing and extremely welcoming which will forever keep us coming back!

The service was really fast when I got back from the bathroom all the food was already there. It's a family/casual diner and everyone was really nice I highly recommend it.

First timer and tried out the Americano. I wasn't able to take a picture, but it was a pretty basic breakfast. They forgot my toast and it's probably my bad because we left before checking our order. But for the price, I didn't think the meal was worth that much. Wouldn't mind coming back to try more in the future, but not a fan of the Americano.

Let me start by saying Mavericks is much more than just a creperie. They're a full fledged breakfast, brunch, & lunch restaurant. You seat yourself and order at the counter. The menu is HUGE. We definitely had ordering remorse when we saw someone's French toast come out. (Next time!) My omelette was seriously one of the best I've had in a long time, the fries were equally as good, and the rest was just as delicious. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast burrito and loved it so much he never saved me a bite! So that's always a good sign. I would definitely stop by Maverick's Creperie if I'm in the area again. Thanks for the delicious grub!

We arrived around 1 PM on a Saturday, so we fully expected it to be busy. What we didn't expect was a parking lot with only about 10 spaces. You can't park along Highway 1, so if the lot is full, your only real option is finding a spot in the neighborhood or on one of the side streets behind the restaurant. There's no indoor seating, but they do have two separate outdoor seating areas. There's only one register for ordering, and the line was pretty long. It took us about 20 minutes to place our order. They give you your drinks and a buzzer, and then you find a table and wait for your food. We sat in the garden area, which we really liked, but after about 30 minutes I was starting to wonder if our buzzer was even working. Of course, right as I got up to go check on our order, it went off. It's a little difficult to rate the service because there really isn't much service. You place your order at the counter, get your own water and condiments, pick up your food when it's ready, bus your own table and throw away your trash. I also couldn't find silverware anywhere after picking up our food. They were still slammed, so I didn't bother trying to track someone down and we just ate with our hands. The good news is the food was excellent. We both loved what we ordered, and the fresh-cut French fries were especially good. The outdoor setting and garden area also have a really nice atmosphere. The biggest disappointment came when we went to clean up our table. The trash cans were completely overflowing with plates and garbage piled on top, and it looked like nobody had cleaned the area in quite a while. I actually had to push the trash down just to make room for ours. So overall, excellent food and a great outdoor setting, but between the parking, long wait, almost entirely self-service setup and overflowing trash, there's definitely room for improvement.

It is only open Thursday-Sunday 11:15 am to 4 pm. At the suggestion of the guy at the register I ordered the hamburger (which he said was the best you will ever eat) and had them add mushrooms to it. Their other specialty (other than the burger) is their mushroom sandwich. I also got their homemade potato chips and added a Diet Coke. I waited about 10 minutes for my meal to be served in a paper bag and then decided to sit inside on one of the stools. The burger is served on grilled square shaped sandwich bread and it was very good tasting. It wasn't a traditional burger with the shrooms, cheese, Dad's sauce, cheese, pickled onion and lettuce and fell apart by the time I was halfway thru it. It is definitely a knife and fork sandwich but I still enjoyed it. Also those homemade chips were also very good tasting. They had a (coating) on them and I can see why they are so popular. Yes this is a very good and unique type of place to eat. My only negative was the price. $16.25 for the burger, $5.50 for the potato chips and $3 for the can of Coke. With tax it was $26.65!
