I've given this place so many chances, but each visit just gets significantly worse. It's so disappointing because I truly love the crepes that are made here, but the cons unfortunately out weight the pros. Multiple times I drive to this location, they have been closed even when store hours say other wise. There was no signage regarding the closure which left myself and others confused and upset. I don't live super close so having to drive down there just to realize the store is closed is such a let down. Portions have also gotten smaller while prices increase. I understand inflation is a thing, but paying THAT much for a crepe that's about the size of my hand is not preferred. Currently on the look out for a new crepe shop. Ok ok, so when I was ordering m, I felt an off vibe with the girl that was taking our order, but I tried not to overthink it. So sad with our experience here. Watched as he made the crepes, without gloves or washing his hands. Then he cut the strawberries that had been sitting out. We had ordered a Nutella and strawberry crepe for my daughter. She had already taken a couple bites before we realized the tiny white almost translucent worm, or parasites or larvae crawling around on the strawberries. When we brought it to his attention he unfortunately due to a language barrier thought we were complaining about the strawberries being warm and didn't know what we meant by worms. Kind of was in shock as a Mom and panicked if my little one was going to be okay or if she just ate a parasite so asked for a refund which he argued with. We have frequented Crepes Oh La La every now and then in the past several years. And for whatever reason, I am just getting to do my review. This place is a low-key establishment that has continued to serve the Walnut Creek restaurant area with its variety of savory and sweet Crepes that keep customers coming back for more. I'll start with the set up. There are about a handful of outdoor seating spaces and a few more on the inside. Everything seems pretty original from the first time I visited, and so if there's anything that I would ding them on is the lack of ambiance and decor that I would expect to match those of the surrounding Walnut Creek eateries. Service has been spotty and basic. So let's get to the food. You can pretty much get just about any type of savory and sweet crepe your heart desires. The crepes are filled with plenty of fresh ingredients. I particularly like to go to the smoked salmon varieties and others in my family like the ones with a breakfast flare and a traditional turkey and pineapple. The outside is crisped perfectly. Lastly, with their prices still at a price point that doesn't leave you with the hole in your pocket, I would recommend to keep coming back for more! read more

Came here after searching for a good crepe place while visiting San Ramon - the options are very limited. It was much more 'homey' than I had expected it to be, especially for it being located in Walnut Creek. The workers there were very nice and service was good. Only complaint was the person that was completing our transaction had an issue with splitting our bill evenly and really complicated the way we were paying for our food. As for my crepe, I got the Nutella with Strawberry. It was a little more crispy than I would have liked it to be, but it was still good. We also got their cheese and smoked turkey savory crepe and that was AMAZING. The owners were Algerian and said that their meat was halal. We only eat zabiha, so we were a little wary of this. We asked twice just to make sure and he said both times it was halal. I probably will not order their meat again, as there was no halal certificate posted anywhere, nor had this place been advertised as halal online. Thank you for having outdoor dining during Covid! They have hand sanitizers and plastic shield at the register. I still don't like the fact that they make you sign the receipt, they need apple pay and contactless payment. I have to say they have perfected the sweet crepe. No matter what fruit combo we order with Nutella, it's still heavenly. My son and I tried a nice bistro in Berkeley that was almost tripled the price, and my son said, this was "way better." Stopped by here after a doctors appointment this past week and I didn't notice how disgusting it was until I had already ordered and felt like I was in too deep. (It's a horrible personality flaw of mine). Everywhere I looked there was dirty towels and scum on the walls, fridge, and floor. The crepes aren't even made fresh, they sit out being "covered" by a little plastic plate. Never saw the guy making them wash his hands (no gloves despite handling the crepes and fruit with his hands), also kept wiping them on a dirty towel on his shoulder that he dropped on the ground and picked right back up and kept using... I ordered the banana Nutella crepe which was pretty underwhelming. Bananas weren't ripe. Also couldn't get the dirty building out of my mind when eating so that especially ruined it for me. No idea how this place hasn't been shut down or how it supposedly passes any health codes. Everything is so unhygienic. Crepes Ooh La La has been our main go to for crepes for over a decade. The owner and the staff are always incredibly warm and friendly. The House Special is the best savory crepe on the menu, IMO. It includes turkey, scrambled egg and your choice of cheese, love it with monterey jack. We usually get an order of the Nutella strawberry crepe with whipped cream to share for dessert. Service can be up and down since there's usually only one server on the floor. They tend to go through lulls and then get crazy busy in a short amount of time. Some times it takes awhile to order, get drinks, refills or the check, but you can easily see why when they're slammed. The space is dated but not a big deal, the food more than makes up for it. He told me "we don't have black coffee" when i was ordering and walked away from us, and continued to ignore us. He made my girlfriend feel uncomfortable, as well. We kind of fell out of stopping at Crepes Ooh La La since my son was born a decade ago! More recently we rediscovered how much we like this low-key place. It's not fancy, but you can get a very decently-priced savory crepe here for lunch or brunch, and finish it off with a sweet crepe. I think the same guy that made crepes a decade ago still makes crepes there today. On our last visit, he took our order since he saw that the waitress was busy, and he was very nice and got our crepes out very quickly (with a generous portion of filling!). We parked across the street in the theater structure, and because we were just there to have a crepe for brunch, we didn't have to pay for the partial hour that we were there. I was craving something hearty for lunch today and wanted a break from sandwiches and pizza. I remembered trying Crepes Ooh La La a few years back and liking it, so I decided to head down and get a crepe lunch. I had intended to get my crepe to-go, but when I saw that there was plenty of seating, I decided to dine in. The server said I could pick any seat I wanted, then she followed me to my table and gave me a glass of ice water and a menu. The prices are just as reasonable as I remembered. Most savory crepes range from $4.50 to $7.50. Some of the specialty ones go for as much as $10.50, still cheaper than sandwiches at some other places. The sweet crepes start at $3.75 for the butter and sugar crepe and go all the way up to about $9 for the fancier ones. Of course, you can always customize your crepes with other ingredients for an extra charge. I decided to go with the savory house special #3: Monterey jack cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts and sundried tomatoes for $7. I sprung the extra $1.50 for roasted turkey. Within minutes, my crepe was done and served to me. It was delicious! The ingredients were all fresh and you get a ton of artichoke hearts (almost an entire artichoke heart per bite). My favorite part was the actual crepe, though. It's slightly sweet and was cooked to perfection, with just a hint of crisp to it. As I said, the portion size was great. I ate about two-thirds of it and took the rest to-go. All in all, I highly recommend this place if you're in downtown Walnut Creek. You'll get a great meal for a great value. read more
