I did respond to her call for balayage hair models, so I received the service at a lower cost, BUT I will gladly pay for her rates in the future. My haircut took almost 2 hours, even though my hair isn't very long or thick, and the blow-dry was basically nonexistent. What bothered me just as much was the lack of professionalism and the energy from my stylist. It honestly felt like she didn't want to be there or be around anyone. Afterward, I checked Yelp and found other reviews describing very similar experiences, including comments about her speaking negatively about clients and staff. That definitely made me question how comfortable I'd feel trusting the salon when someone like that is working there. He just wanted it shorter around the ear- how could that be misunderstood??? It was a true emergency, because there was no way I would let my child go through the humiliation of going to school the next day like that. It was really THAT bad! I started dialing and hoping some kind person would understand and help us, but who would ever take someone after 8pm, and that was IF we could get someone to answer our call at 7:50pm. That is when i called Like salon, and this angel named Tracy answered and listened to our situation. It takes a very kind person to decide to help total strangers who were asking her to stay past closing time and take a brand new client, and that is the person Tracy is. We've all had a bad haircut at least once in our lives, but this was far worse, and it would take a very experienced person to somehow salvage what was left of my child's hair, and cut it into something that looked at least like a normal haircut. We knew it would mean having to cut all the gorgeous locks off that took over a year to grow, but seriously, there was no other way. Still, Tracy was able to transform a nightmare into a dream, and while the long hair was gone, the end result was a very smart style that will grow out well. It is quite attractive, and while my child was still inconsolable over losing all that hair, what a life saver Tracy was, and I can only imagine how gorgeous my child's hair will be as we continue to see her to shape it while it grows out again. For one, he gives an amazing scalp massage- I was practically falling asleep. The salon wash station was so fancy and comfortable because you can lay down all the way. Loiy walked me through each step during my service so i knew what to expect. The oribe products he used smelled soo good! The blowout itself was quick and looked so good! When I called back, she claimed she had now spoken to Sue and that Sue refused to see me, but they conveniently tried to 'bait and switch' me to a different appointment. It is appalling that a front-desk employee feels entitled to gatekeep and insult a long-term customer before they've even met the stylist. Because of this ego-driven behavior, I spent three hours on a round-trip commute for absolutely nothing.
