Not only has the quality of their sweets vastly declined since their recent location move, but the owner, is extremely unprofessional & rude. I personally witnessed her speaking poorly about a previous employee to other co-workers in front of customers. Her unprofessionalism was so distasteful, I will never give them another cent. There is more to running a successful business than simply providing quality products. One must also remain professional at all times so that they are able to lead by example & provide a friendly environment for customers. Despite differences that may exist between co-workers, one should be knowledgeable in the aspect to leave their bi-gons @ home. Went to new location and was very dissatisfied only had 5 flavors cupcakes, original, ,choc, German choc nothing fancy like they used to do at the 1960 location will not be going back. Staff are rude also busy talking about orders to be made. Should of just walked out but drove 8 miles to get a cupcake and was truly disappointed. read more

They're lucky to even get 1 star, they deserve -5 stars for the customer service they provide. -INCOMPETENT AND RUDE STAFF -DAMAGED CAKE W/O APOLOGIES OR COMPENSATION -OVERPRICED -DRY -LACK OF FLAVOR -EXTREME DISAPPOINTMENT -DO NOT GO HERE!! When we first walked in, we were not even greeted, no smile, no welcome. We tell them we were picking up a cake, they get it, we pay. The girl brings out the cake uncovered because the topper was too high, thats fine we were ok with that. We started to discuss our concerns of the ride home. I asked if there were any tips to bringing a cake back to dallas for a future cake, how would we need to prepare it for the long drive? She says, just they way it is, "Our cakes don't melt" she then procedes to get a lid (that we didn't ask for, for the cake we were taking home (which is no more than five miles from the store). We then say, "That won't hit the topper will it?" She says, "no, i'll position it so that it will not touch the box." We watch her as she kept lowering and lowering the lid and she stops, touches the top of the box (inspecting if she's hit the top) taps at it, and lifts the lid a bit higher and tapes it, without checking for damage. We carried it to the car and immediately I wanted to check the cake before we drove off, sure enough the topper is cracked and smushed into the cake. We came back in and politely pointed out that as she placed the lid on it, it smushed the topper. They attempted to fix it and made it seem like it was our fault it was damaged, no apologies either. When we brought it home, we noticed the top layer was bulging out due to the pressure from the topper. Let me add, the topper is quite heavy, 3 lbs maybe, it was completely made of fondant. After a phone call and an email of pictures of the damage, they tell us it looks like that due to the heat. *Remember when I asked about bringing a cake to Dallas she replies, "our cakes don't melt" it was supposed to withstand the 4 hr drive to Dallas and you're telling me it can't withstand a drive down the street? They refused to compensate us in any way and took her employees word over ours (A customer who will now tell all her friends, and their friends friends not to give them their business) When you pay over $230 for a cake, you expect a cake worth $230+. They ruined my niece's birthday. We will never return. This is actually the second time they've ruined our cake. I guess shame on us for giving them a second chance. p.s. they're cake balls look aweful, they're cracked because they freeze them, they're not made fresh. I can make better cakeballs with my eyes closed. read more

Good cupcakes = tasty + moist + appropriately priced. Unfortunately Suzybeez's (Suzybeez'? Anyway...) does not offer any of the above. I've gotten a few different varieties and weren't impressed by any of them. My red velvet cupcake was dry and misshapen, and the flavor wasn't nearly as rich as one I could make from a box (or buy at Sprinkles). The "manly" flavors currently offered (I think for Father's Day? Not sure..) include beer and pretzels and rum and cola. I tried the latter and was, to put it eloquently, grossed out. This place could use some serious improvement.. maybe start by hiring real bakers, not the two teenagers who waited on me when I last visited. read more

Second time I tried this place. First time I bought 3 cupcakes in the display and they were dry. This time ordered them and they were worse. Unable to even pick them up because they crumbled. I love Suzybeez desserts! It's a cute little shop. The frosting they use is the best I've tasted thus far! Cupcakes are always moist! I used to be a die hard "Sprinkles & Crave" fan until Suzybeez came in my life lol. I gave them 4 stars (I was leaning more towards 3.5) due to customer service. I come here very often and here and there I get someone at the counter with a slight attitude problem. I love SuzyBeez! There are new owners as of summer 2016 and they have made so many wonderful changes to the bakery. I've loved everything I've tried there. There are different specialty cupcakes each week so there is always something new to taste! My son loves the mini cupcakes as they are the perfect size for small hands and I love that he can have something sweet without a tummy ache. They have so much more than just cupcakes too. Their custom cakes are beautiful, the sugar cookies are soft, and the mini cheesecakes are a yummy bite sized treat when you don't want cake. This family owned business is friendly, really cares, and strives to provide the best business possible. I have to recommend the brownies and the double chocolate cupcakes. So moist, so yummy, so chocolate-y! Oh and I can't forget the macarons! Pistachio is a must try!! read more

My uncle had told me that he'd eaten here before and didn't care for it and thought my cupcakes were better. Believing he was totally just being nice I told myself one day I would come in and format my own opinion. So we ate next door and after some seafood we stopped here to give it a try. I ordered the strawberry cupcake with strawberry icing. Boy was this cupcake dry. And the icing was Soooo sweet I couldn't even eat all of it, and believe me I have a huge sweet tooth. At 3 bucks a pop I expected it to at least be moist. I'll never stop by here again, there are bakeries a dime a dozen in Houston. I can't believe I went back in to ask for a card with a stamp...but that was before tasting it. Oh well. At least the cashier was helpful though. Suzybeez is an excellent store. They are good at what they do and the owners and their family are extraordinary people. While it is true that the instore service is lacking, it is not enough to feel uncomfortable or to make you feel like you can't come back. The ladies I believe are just inexperienced and they try to do their jobs, and the succeed. Right now, around the holidays, is the best time to go in! They've got such an awesome selection of goodies that I want to purchase everyday, and now that I live in that neighborhood, it's going to be difficult to lose the weight I want to lose. So, I make cakes myself, but with broken ribs and poor time management, I had to pick up a dozen cupcakes for my daughters birthday party. Got red velvet cupcakes, chocolate chocolate and funfetti vanilla. The vanilla frosting was just horrible. Like shortening, water and powdered sugar, gross. The frosting makes the cake imo and I was disappointed. The cake was a bit dry but flavorful. The chocolate cupcake was better, but still, clearly no butter. Also bought some cookies, they were decorated nicely, and had a good buttery flavor. Had to leave a review since I spent $45 for flavorless cupcakes. read more

We've had Suzybeez multiple times, because we live right around the corner. The cupcakes are hit and miss, but the really good ones we get keep us coming back. The oreo is wonderful, if you can catch it freshly baked. We tend to get a lot of dried cupcakes here :( However, if you catch them fresh, they are pretty wonderful. The cookies (regular frosted sugar cookies) have wonderful flavor, too. This bakery is pretty pricey. read more

They seem to be the only cupcake/bakery around this side (FM1960 and 290) town. I have stopped by a few times and have always tried their chocolate cupcakes. They dont have very much variety though, but their cakes are moist always fresh. Never had a dry cupcake from here ever. I have not tried the non-chocolate cupcakes at all but thats just me. I'd driven past Suzybee's several times but never stopped in until my coworkers birthday. When I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and upon payment, received tips to preserving my purchase until morning. I picked up 6 cupcakes and a canoli for myself since I have not been able to find any place that sells a good canoli. That canoli was so good, I called my Italian grandma in AZ to tell her about it! Now, I've tasted Crave cupcakes and Sprinkles cupcakes and Rise cupcakes but Suzybee's were unlike any of them. I am in love with Suzybee's! There are a lot of cupcake lover's out there now, and we can be a picky bunch. They are the bee's knees! They have a lot of great cupcake variety, including cake truffles (cake balls), and some of the most delicious cannolis. They are priced very reasonably for being professional bakery shop. The cupcakes are always delicious, and have just the right amount of icing. I have not used them for custom cake orders, but they do offer this service as well. I have to also add, that they have sugar free cupcakes, that has been awesome to be able to buy my Dad a couple of those so he can partake in our birthday celebrations. My Dad would recommend the lemon. The staff there has always very friendly and helpful. I've been shopping at Suzybee's for about 2 years now. I am also a huge advocate of supporting a fantastic local business, that offers a great product, and they do just that. read more
