She is superb, an artist. Yes, the services are expensive and for me: totally money very well spent. I receive partial highlights about twice a year. Kelly has never attempted to "sell" me on additional services. In fact, she has encouraged me NOT to highlight that often and instructed on the proper method to maintain the highlights. Her expertise in cutting is beyond what I have received in the past: I have had my hair cut in Paris (David Mallett), New York City-(Ric Pipino, Heidi Klum's ex-husband) and in Greenwich Connecticut-just some places and all very high end. The David Witchell salon and Kelly are outstanding and just as good, if not better than I've experienced before. Every cut that I've had (Kelly) grows in so well. The true sign of a great cut is how well your hair looks in the 6th week (yes, I can go that long between cuts!). I am often asked by strangers, where I get my hair done-always a compliment. Regarding the reviews about the front desk-I have not experienced rudeness at all. I note that many of the reviews about front desk attitude, occurred around Covid times, so maybe folks were on edge about that? I give folks the benefit of the doubt and a lot of grace. But that's just me :) Overall, this place is a gem.

Lyz, the bridal coordinator, was incredibly responsive and organized throughout the whole process, and she also did my makeup on the wedding day. She made me feel so beautiful while still looking like myself, which was exactly what I wanted. Zanya did my hair trial, but due to a personal emergency the night before my wedding, the team had to pivot and someone else stepped in to do my hair. Even with the last-minute change, it turned out great, and I really appreciated how smoothly they handled everything. My girls looked beautiful as well, and the whole team made the morning feel calm and taken care of. I'm so happy I trusted Zanya and her team for my wedding day!

I made two visits to the Salt Cave in the last couple of years with my most recent being a week or…read moretwo ago and had good experiences. I scheduled both over the phone with their friendly staff. I found parking on the main street, but you can find parking easy behind their building in a municipal lot. The front waiting room/retail area was clean, bright and welcoming. My first trip was a reflexology session in the main cave for a foot massage. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical of the cave thinking it was gimmicky, but it was very relaxing and the therapist did a great job on loosening me up and hitting all my pressure points! I didn't have much drainage in my sinuses like I was hoping, but everyone's different. It would be nice to bring along the wife to have a session in the cave together. On my most recent visit I had a salt stone massage with CDB oil in a regular massage room, but they have a salt stone inside. They add CDB oil for muscle relief and hot stones on the legs. I would have liked more pressure, but I still felt great afterwards. I can't say whether the CDB oil did much for me, but that was the first time I had ever had hot stones applied during a massage and I want more! Afterwards I felt loose, refreshed and very relaxed. I wish I had more time to frequent them more often, but I would definitely repeat. Thanks to everyone over at Salt Cave Newtown!
