No doctor on staff - just a doc who comes in once a week it seems. Have no idea what his credentials are. My glasses have never been right prescription-wise and weren't from the time I picked them up. When I expressed this the owners were really obstinate and quite rude and we had an unpleasant exchange. It's now February and I tried to wear the stupid glasses again today (that cost way too much by the way) and they still make me dizzy. Rather than going back in there and deal with the unpleasant owners, I'll go elsewhere with an eye doctor on staff and get new glasses. I also notice that any of the positive reviews on here are really old. The most recent positive one is 4 years old and that's the "newest" - the others are at least 8 years old. It was terrible experience. Go anywhere else.

First time going there today for an eye contact appt/ prescription …read more I asked dr. Friedman if they had samples and he said even if they did they don't have time for a fitting today..? Anywhere else I've ever gone they take the extra 10 minutes to see if they have samples in stock and if they do then they just do the fitment of the contact lens the same day. I asked one of the ladies at the front desk and they said he would have checked if they had in stock.. but I told them I don't think he wanted to even check... it turns out they did have the samples in stock so they let me take the samples but he needed to look at my eyes again with the contacts before he could give the prescription.. so they said they would ask if he could take a few minutes to do the "fitting" and he said no now I need to go back tomorrow for a 15 minute check so he can look at my eyes.. (when I was there anyway but didn't want to see if they had my prescription in stock) when he originally told me he'd call me back for the fitment when the trials came in in 7 days... he didn't even want to try.. and wants you to come back for 3 appts total before the prescription is issued. Stay away, lesson learned for us.

It's an Asian-chain of stores that you'll see commonly found in densely populated Asian areas around the USA and the world, but I have yet to see on in Michigan, so I was so happy to come across this when I was walking around GLC a few months ago! The prices are reasonable, but can add up given how much lovely stuff they have in stores that'll make you want to buy it all, and the quality is average. It gives the vibes of a Daiso, but more fun-oriented! This Miniso is basically just like all the others. It's got floor to ceiling adorable merch and goodies for you to browse and you'll probably find a ton of cute items throughout! It's unique and contains a ton of items and accessories that you typically would not be able to find much anywhere else! They have a whole line of Disney-based products designed specifically for Miniso, along with Sanrio, BTS, and so many more! You can stock up on Asian snacks, beauty products, toys, and mystery boxes as well! It's impossible to explain just how much wonder there is within this store, so I just highly recommend you make a visit! It's a really good sized space within Great Lakes and is very bright and open to invite you in. My main complaints are: 1) Between the first time I went there, which was shortly after its "soft opening," to about a month after that, the store had become quite disorganized. There were a ton of plushies more at ground level that were clearly dirty and scuffed, but were still on the shelves being sold. The merchandise had also changed drastically as well, so all the items that I was looking forward to coming back for were nowhere to be found the second time around. 2) They charge you for the basic Miniso-branded shopping bag to hold all your purchased items, but don't have that advertised anywhere before you get to check out. It would be one thing if this was a universal thing within Michigan where our government had passed the law to require shoppers to bring their own bags similar to how it is in other states, but it's not a thing here (yet) and I think this will bamboozle a lot of people shopping here since it's not a common practice here to bring your own. It is a nominal fee, but still displeasing to know you're being charged for a bag, especially when Miniso sells so many plushies that take up a lot of space and you might be needing more than one bag if you purchase more than one or two of these! Other than those two main complaints though, this store is wonderful and I'm excited to see it grow and stabilize as it goes! It will definitely be a must-visit stop every time I find myself at GLC...which is often!

Turns out, they had the astigmatism correction wrong. Just enough to make them unwearable. The nice ladies helped figure it out, we tried again. This time, reading with them was blurry. Gave up. The nice ladies gave me a refund. But this after literally months of waiting for a pair of glasses. Costco got the same prescription right in a week. You do the math. Also, for some reason, they are only open three days a week.
