I called him back and told him I was sitting there but it didn't appear to be an auto shop. He said "oh that's because I moved across the street." So I went across the street to the address he gave me and still didn't see an auto shop there. I waited 10 more minutes and called him back and he said he was still 5 minutes away!! I went to the business next door to inquire whether there was an actual auto shop there and the business owner didn't know what I was talking about and said the place was vacant. STAY AWAY from this guy. He quotes low prices and he has a coupon on here probably trying to bait people into buying it and then he probably pockets the money and never shows up. I'm glad I didn't buy the coupon before actually getting the work done otherwise I probably would be out $295. When I came to pick it up, I could immediately tell it had been finished in gloss instead of satin--something that was obvious at a glance. When I pointed this out, JC refused to take responsibility. Instead, he gaslit me, claiming no one could possibly know what finish a wheel should have unless the customer specifically told them beforehand. That's not only unreasonable--it's lazy. If he wasn't sure, he could've asked. But rather than take ownership, he blamed me for not bringing a second wheel or the entire car as a reference, despite previously assuring me that one wheel was enough. He even tried to shift blame further by saying the wheel was "old and dirty." It's less than a year old, garage-kept, and in great shape. That excuse doesn't hold up--especially considering any shop doing refinishing work should clean the wheel before applying a new finish. At that point, it would've been clear it was not a gloss finish, and again, a quick message to confirm would have solved everything. To make matters worse, JC's behavior was completely unprofessional. At every turn, he seemed more interested in upselling than fixing the problem. First, he offered to refinish all four wheels in gloss (the wrong finish) for a "discounted" $300. Then it became, "Bring the wheel back and I'll do it for $80." By that point--after the back and forth--I had zero confidence in his work or his integrity, and absolutely no interest in handing over more money. I trusted JC's word and expected professional service. What I got instead was a botched job, deflection, and a total lack of accountability for a simple, avoidable mistake. If you care about your wheels--or about being treated with basic honesty and professionalism--go somewhere else.

The dealer quoted $1,200 for Fast Shield paint protection film (PPF). Ouch! I researched available films and shops that apply them and found out that Fast Shield is mobile and will come to me. Big advantage, because it was going to be difficult to drop the car off some distance away, leave it all day then go and pick it up. Another big advantage is that the price was substantially less than the dealer for the same product. Tommy O came to the house on time and set up shop. He cleaned and prepped the front end (even though I had just washed it), then cut the film on-site in a computerized operation. He spent the next four hours applying the film and getting it just right. Very meticulous. I'm delighted with how it turned out and can recommend Fast Shield for paint protection film. They also do repair and refinishing of aluminum wheels. I'm going to get that done on my truck.

They profusely apologized and clearly stated in my emails and messages that they have integrity and would never purposely mislead someone. They also said they'd pay for adding the AC in the truck that was advertised. Now it's crickets. I've provided every bit of information, run around on my own time to provide quotes that they have approved in writing, but now it's time to pay for it and nobody will answer our calls, emails, texts or the very nice company that has researched and put in the work to provide the quote RBP specifically asked for. I've compiled all my written communications and are providing them to a local Houston attorney. I'll take this to the endth degree out of principle. I will also be happy to remove my review and give RBP another review based on them following through with their word given. It'll be a tremendously positive review, if they decide to follow through.
