Spacious, huge game area oudoors, well maintained pickle ball courts, amazing outdoor bar +coffee stations, plenty of tvs indoors and a large indoor dining area - these were my initial impressions! One big let down were the lack of larger tv screens outside. There might be 1-2 smaller screens outside but they weren't visible. We planned to dine in and sat at one of the tables right in front of the TV, it almost felt like the TV was just for us - the table was that good. We ordered fried pickles, chorizo queso as appetizers and they were fantastic. We ordered a beer and Diet Coke alongside. Pickles stood out in flavor, umami, perfectly fried, moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Queso was tasty but the flour chips it came with were ok. For our mains, I ordered a chicken quesadillas with grilled corn along with the showme burger. Quesadillas were grilled perfectly with juicy chicken, lots of melted cheese with a crispy golden tortillas. The grilled corn was sweet, Smoky and had a creamy cheesy spicy layer of sauces on the top of it - Lecker!! The Show Me burger was sooo good and high quality that it could be the official Missouri state burger - tender juicy patty with a sauce (similar to in and out sauce) inside soft hamburger buns - emmmmm!!! I was really surprised because the food out here is really great and priced right!! the main dishes were around $13-$14 each and the appetizers were a bit lesser around $10-$11. Overall, the staff was really sweet and they all were working hard to keep the restaurant clean and serve the customers faster. The chicken itself tasted pretty good but if this is the amount of sauce they typically put on the sandwich I would ask for some on the side. I asked for the slaw on the side so I could eat some by itself and top the sandwich. Wanted a fork for it but never received one. The spicy slaw definitely had a nice kick. They may not typically have so much outdoor seating available but they need to find a better method of serving food. We must have been asked 10 times if food was ours as the servers didn't know where it went. Hopefully everyone received the food they ordered. Overall it could have been better and could have been worse. Would have loved for the sandwich to have more sauce to it and for the service to have been a little more attentive.

The second time I was in and out pretty quickly for a yoga class and ordered some dinner to go from the cafe. Aside from some construction happening in the parking lot, and the food selection not being as amazing as I was hoping, my experience was super positive. I see they offer tons of classes as well as pickleball and the facility is huge with pretty much any kind of workout equipment you could possibly want. If I lived in the area, I'd likely want to be a member here, but since I don't, I'll settle for being a guest when I visit. Thanks Life Time!

Life Time Fitness is HUGE and I mean they literally have whatever you desire (Fleur-de-Lis for all of you L.A. Confidential lovers). Located in a very strategic and safe location, near a major intersection and the freeway, traffic and parking will never be an issue. But if you have to park far away, isn't that part of the workout!? Anyways I find the facility to be very clean, friendly and safe environment without to many "weirdo's" (take that how you want). First off, the showers are plentiful and well stocked with towels and they have a nice pathway to the indoor pool. I've never had to wait on a shower, typically between 5-7am. As for swimming laps in the winter, one might need to tailer their swim routine as people like me who can swim roughly 100 laps and then there's the elderly swim classes. The point is there are limitations. When spring-fall happens it's a bit easier b/c the outdoor pool offers more lanes. Next, I've never eaten at the café so I can't speak on prices, options or anything. As far as BB courts I workout really early in the morning so I can usually shoot alone but afternoons, you'll be waiting to get on the floor. I've never been to a class for things like aerobics, yoga or anything but I have had a trainer. I honestly think I was bamboozled a bit. In my ignorance I was expecting 3 or 4 sessions a week, a meal plan and several different workout options based on my desired goals. What I got was a body fat measurement via a tape measure and scale along with a musclebound dude to spot me for 3 months. No meal plan, no spreadsheet with workouts that fit me. I mean he fulfilled the spirit of the contract besides not giving me a meal plan other than "eat some berries and tuna", but not what we initially discussed. Now, I will say the greatest thing I learned was foam rolling my muscles. I will admit, I wrestled in high school and college and I've always been fit therefore I know how to workout and diet. So for many others, they may need a little more education so be sure to emphasize that in the contract. As for workout equipment, they have plenty of stair masters, nautilus machines, free weights, treadmills and so forth to accommodate a lot of people. I think out of my 4 years there I only had an issue with someone reading a newspaper on a butterfly machine and I was doing cardio line training so I didn't want my heart rate to slow down while he was reading. Other than that, it's been very good. Oh, I will mention one time I was on the treadmill and a certain Albert Pujols was on the machine next to me. He had his cap on, his gold chain was bigger than my arm, and hit leg was as big as my torso. He saw me catching a glimpse and we had a small conversation and I mentioned I didn't want to bug him. He laughed and said "I approached you, so we're good!" Class act even though I'm a Cleveland fan! In summary, I never used all the amenities offered but there are a lot. I only wanted to reference what I've taken advantage of at Life Time. I was happy with my stay there and encourage anyone who wants to improve their health to drop on by and get a free trial membership. Two thumbs up!

The management are very accommodating and please to to work with. They are not your typical club where as soon as you walk in they demand money and treat you like a piggy bank. Recently I had to drop my membership because of relocating. When I emailed her that I had to freeze or quit my membership she didn't push me to stay or do a cancellation fee like most clubs. Jeanette Ross took care of me and made me feel like a valuable club member. She respected my decision and handled my membership swiftly. During my time there I was really pleased with all of the staff.

I love living in Olathe! One of the many reasons is because…read moreof the work they put into their parks! Haven Park is an absolute gem smack dab in the middle of a residential neighborhood. There are big trees, a great colorful playground, sand volleyball, a single pickleball/tennis court, half court basketball, a large, flat multi use grass field with a baseball cage, a paved path around the perimeter of the park where you can visualize your kids from almost any angle. There are quite a few corners of the park that need some attention, such as run down wooden benches, the perimeter of the sand volleyball court and a plethora of weeds in the grass. But the tennis/pickle ball court looks like it was recently patched and is in great shape, the pavement for the basketball hoop is looking great, and all the landscaping is really well done. What a blessing!

A friend told us they had been taking junior tennis classes here and really liked it, so we gave it a try! I called to speak with someone about where to start, and I'm glad I did! The person who helped me on the phone was absolutely fantastic about walking me through how their program worked (age level, skills level, etc.) and the options on days to attend! She even explained that we could try a class for free to see if it was worth signing up for a full session! Sold!! I hate to oversimplify it, but we truly did show up, check in, and joined a class! It was THAT easy! My daughter loved the coaches and class enough that we ended up signing up right after for the next session (two months)! Now we've been there for over 6 months, and my daughter has gotten progressively better and better! She's learned the basics of the game, technique, scoring, etc.! The facility is very nice - many indoor and outdoor courts, a weightroom, locker room, many restrooms for waiting/watching parents! I have a feeling we'll be around this facility for many months and years to come!

I am very disappointed with the Customer Service at Overland Park Racquet Club. I was a member for…read moreover 10 years but 3 years ago switched to Genesis KCRC. I still participate in many activities at OP and still enjoyed playing tennis there but now I know my decision to move was the correct one. I was a guest playing with three other members who offered to split the $12 guest fee to make it more even. When we went to pay, they said they couldn't split the guest fee so suggested that one member pay for it and then we reimburse her so that's what we did. A day later, the other three girls realized they had been charged just the court time, but I had not. Since my credit card was expired, they could not process the charges. I received an email in March for the January court time requesting an updated credit card. When I called, I am now finding out they charged me the entire $12 guest fee. Now I could go back and ask for each girl to pay me $3.00 but I don't want to do that, so I asked if OP would agree to waive this guest fee in this one instance since this was not the way we wanted to be billed. Ann in accounting said it doesn't matter how long I was a member for and that since I was not a member at the time, I owed the $12. I don't disagree with her but was hoping for a little consideration as it is only $12 and I thought my past years of membership might have some influence. I even asked for a credit to be placed on the account for a future court time but no luck. It doesn't seem like everything needs to always black and white and that there could be some leniency or exceptions to make a customer happy or even to want to come back at some time to be a member. That will not be happening with me. No, the extra $9 will not break me. It's just the principle.
