It was my first time at SERV as a group of us were attending a friends birthday celebration. I've been to the Chicken and Pickle locations a couple times. We aren't pickleball players so can't provide feedback on the courts, etc. However, I think the set up and amenities are SERV were great. We had a private area for the party, with food/booze in and outdoors. There were two pickleball courts connected to our space. Very convenient. The courts were rented for our party and that worked out great. The complex also had an open space where folks were able to bring in their own lawn chairs and watch both the live band they had playing as well as the FIFA game. This was being shown on a large screen. There also appeared to be some other separate areas with screens (both indoor and out) showing the games. Lots of people using all the spaces but it never seemed overcrowded. The beers were cold, food was average but the service was very good. Friendly bar staff as well. Would recommend. read more

Great place if you want outdoor music for free on Saturdays, several different types of food selection. Efficient but almost too efficient of a system. My family visited SERV because of one of their free Saturday night concerts. We rented a cabana for $50 which included fans, a shaded shelter, a couch and two chairs (seating for 5). The cabana was probably worth it, but other people used the free seating or brought lawn chairs. The service outside was fantastic! We started inside and it was a little confusing with the seat yourself format. I thought my Southwest bowl was okay, but it was mostly rice. Late Dec 2025 visit. It was a last-minute decision to play pickleball with the family, and we all had an absolute blast. The indoor courts were fully booked, so we decided to brave the outdoor courts instead, and we warmed up in no time! We ended up playing for two hours, and now our whole family is hooked. We reserved a court and thank goodness it was outside. The seriously players were inside and it definitely has an... athletic smell. The service here was ridiculously slow. It took 10 minutes to get waters and after our food arrived I had to ask for napkins three times. I think they were trying to train a new person in, but the problem got worse as the evening went on. The burger was decent, it was cooked well and had a decent flavor. The nachos were not bad either. The pickleball was fun, and all the equipment was in decent order. I stopped in to catch one of the summer music shows, they have a DJ on Friday nights and a band on Saturday. There are several areas to get food but you have to order and pay at each individual one. Which there was a way to start a tab and just pay at the end. I ordered one of the signature drinks which the line went fast and didn't wait hardly at all. They offer a good selection of cocktails/ Beer and NA drinks. It was a good mix, Bar staff ran my card and didn't even offer to keep it open if I would like to. Unless I missed them the only bathroom I found on the outside was way in the back corner. Even with the parking lot full and most of the area around the bar there were still plenty of seats available. Overall it is a good place to catch a live band. read more

Met up with our other friends for a game of pickleball and a quick bite. This place did not disappoint! It was super easy to reserve a court on their website. The check in process was very too. They have a beautiful facility! I really like how the courts are setup. Bright. Spacious. And extremely clean. They have quite a few selections on their food menu. There's something for everyone. And I like that they have a lot of shareable plates. Price was much cheaper than other pickleball places in town. We had fun tonight and will definitely be back. read more

Great places for a relax night with friends. It is an open pub that also have pickleball court to play and they offer free bingo night room time to time. The staff and very friendly and attentive. My husband and I came to Serv for the 1st time during our lunch break on my birthday. We had a great time! It was pretty empty but we went on a Tuesday at 2:30. We stayed for an hour. I enjoyed the happy hour! Happy Hour Deals are very affordable! They have apps from $5-$8. I would say their everyday prices were very reasonable as well, for example happy hour nachos were $8 and regular price is $10. There are options for everyone since they have different restaurants you can walk up and order from like food trucks but in storage containers. I thought the design was very creative and loved the urban feel! Check them out on instagram too for upcoming events we noticed them doing different party options and pickleball tournaments. Absolutely the BEST place in Johnson County to watch a Chiefs game. Three bars, HUGE outdoor screens, and plentiful TVs indoors as well. With several container restaurants on property you cannot go wrong with Serv. During halftime you can play corn hole, ping pong, sit by a fire pit, or grab a quick game of pickleball. We had a great time playing pickleball and hanging out. We came for a couple of hours of pickleball and ended up staying 6 hours. Ashley made the experience even better; she was friendly and super attentive. She made our visit enjoyable, and we would go back just for her! The food selection was also great and tasty! One thing we did not care for was having to pay for paddles. Most were broken and left all over the place. Random kids would just pick them up and start playing on your court while you're resting. read more

We had a birthday party at Serv with 8 people that required a minimum fee. The pickleball courts were great, but the service and food that followed were awful. We only ordered entrees, but the food came out in odd shifts with a good five to ten minutes between one or two entrees coming out at a time. The final order was completely forgotten and not put in until nearly everyone else had eaten. The food was not good, tasted bland and the bowl I ordered had rice that was way undercooked. We received no thank you for visiting, no apology, no visit from management and while our party required a minimum food spend we were given no indication in terms of where we were with that minimum and if we could have still ordered anything else on the minimum deposit. The entire staff also could not look more inconvenienced to have to actually be working. TL;DR: Pickleball courts were nice, but don't dine there or expect reasonable service. read more

After just opening in March, SERV is growing, adapting and fitting into their new space! They're gearing up for a fun summer season. I'm really hoping they host a few family movie nights on their lawn! That would be so fun!! We played indoor pickleball for an hour. The courts are pretty nice! There is no AC for their indoor courts, but they do have giant fans for airflow plus garage door windows they can open however much they want when it's cooler outside than it is inside! They have self-serve water coolers and water bottle refill fountains around the indoor space. Major potential for improvement: instead of asking the customers to walk into the bar to order, offer court side service! Another option: place iPads near the courts linked to each individual reservation so players could order from there (kind of like Panera Bread has) or something like that! Their outdoor area has what looked like 7-10 individual "food containers" (think of them like stationary food trucks) with their own flare and menus. Not sure what the hours are. Visited with a large group celebrating a birthday. Serv did a great job accommodating us on a Saturday afternoon. Luckily a cold snowy day so not much of a crowd. The waitresses were top notch, rushing around taking orders and passing out food. The food actually arrived pretty fast even with our large party. Each person's food arrived in containers with lids, which seemed to keep the food warmer and help make delivery easier. Tip, it's a no cash joint, so bring some plastic. While we didn't play pickleball, the adjoining play area looked well laid out with several matches going. Great overall impression, just hope to visit on a warmer day to take full advantage of the awesome patio area. read more

I enjoyed my soft opening event experience at this new entertainment complex. They offer six indoor pickleball courts, two outdoor pickleball courts, yard games (seasonal) and six different food vendors with a wide range of options including BBQ, tacos, vegan, pizza, wings, burgers and bowls. They also offer a coffee shop, a spacious inside seating area with an L-shaped bar, two large video screens for movies or watch parties, private event spaces, cabanas, a stage for live music and events, and a good amount of parking west of the facility. So, just last night I left a nice review, and went back tonight. We had been getting good service and having a fun time. However tonight no one came to our table. The tables next to us were waited on, but we had to get up and go to the bar if we wanted to get a drink or order food. The only time people came to the table was to bring our food, but they did not give us utensils, so we had to get up and go to the bar for that, too. If that was the experience for the people around us too I would have just thought it was a busy night, but everyone else was waited on. I'm just frustrated and confused about why that happened. Otherwise the bar staff was great, the food we had was good and it was hot. I'm just upset no one came to our table. read more

I visited SERV on their opening weekend in Overland Park! While I see a ton of potential, they (understandably) have a few kinks to work out. First, to overview the concept, this is a bar, restaurant, and entertainment venue, with pickleball courts, similar to Chicken N' Pickle. They have a full restaurant and bar indoors, and a large outdoor courtyard with big screens. Instead of a singular menu, they have different concepts within boxcars out in the courtyard - kind of like food trucks. You can order any of them via a server in the restaurant. The food options are diverse - they have bar food, tacos, bowls, and most notably, a 100% vegan concept called "Power Plant." I can't express how awesome it is that they included a vegan option. I had the tacos from "Tacodile" and my sister had the Chorizo & Mango pizza from Power Plant, each priced at $15. Most of the meal options are priced at a flat $15, and some are higher. We both thought our food was really good. I did think the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. Service is still a work in progress. I was surprised that the hostess, nor the server oriented us to the space and concept - a missed opportunity. The restaurant wasn't that busy, but our server was rushed and not very present. And barely after we finished our last bite, she was back to ask for payment. It all felt a little impersonal and rushed. I'm sure this will improve as everyone gains their footing. The space is huge, and when we were there for dinner, it seemed family friendly. I think the bar indoors is way too small - a miss. I think this place will be much more fun when the weather warms up and the outdoor space can be utilized. I'm thrilled we have another dining and entertainment venue in OP. Looking forward to trying it again soon and revising my review. read more

SERV is a food and entertainment facility that recently opened this Friday in OP (located in the Promotory Shopping Center). There are 6 indoor and 2 outdoor pickleball courts as well as a variety of yard games. Outside there are also two large video screens that were streaming basketball games and what looks like a stage for live music. There are six "food concepts" housed in shipping containers sprinkled throughout the yard area: Slammers, Dinks, Tacodile, Slow Burn BBQ, Power Plant (vegan), Smashbowl. There's both indoor and outdoor seating that could accommodate just about any group I can imagine. You're seated by a host/hostess and have a waiter/waitress that places your order and retrieves it from whichever shipping container. This was convenient since it's cold outside right now. I asked the waitress if in the summer we'd just go up to the window of the shipping containers instead - she said they're still working through how everything's going to work so TBD. I ordered the Chorizo & Mango Pizza (vegan chorizo, red onion, and mango topped with arugula and cheeze) for $15. The portion size is a good value - one person could eat this and be quite full or two people could split along with a side. It was the scenario where you're honestly full at slice 4-5 but since it's delicious you make it to the end regardless. Overall, this is a neat addition to the area - it's great to see some unique food options and fun spaces outside of the downtown KC area. Excited to return to try another plant-based option soon and for it to be summer to hang out in the outdoor space. read more

The food was awful. Nachos were bad and so were the chicken wings. The wings were dripping in sauce and not a rub. The nachos were not what most people would call nachos. Guac was good but the sauce tasted like buffalo sauce....on Mexican food. I will say it is a wonderful place with good music and outdoor venue for bands as well as outdoor and indoor activities. Personally, I think the food at SERV is very underrated. The "fluffy" chips with queso or the dip trio (queso, guac, salsa) are some of my favorite apps in the city. They have daily food specials that are very affordable. We had 2 margs, 3 tacos, 3 empanadas, and fluffy chips and queso all for under $40 on Tuesday. The inside seating is usually pretty quiet which surprises me, but there are always people playing pickleball (indoors and outdoors) or hanging out in the massive outdoor courtyard. What a neat concept! With the surge in pickle ball and food halls over the last few years, this seems like a perfect marriage of both. I stopped in with a group of 8 out-of-towners, while we wanted to kill time before a flight. With four young kids we needed something to do, that was relatively inexpensive. This was great! It's a sprawling campus of container vendors, and a huge outdoor space. From the outdoor tables and game area, you can see the outdoor pickleball courts, and hear the games. We headed inside to cool down and grab a drink. As other reviews mention, there are outside containers that look like you can order at a walk up window, but they weren't open. Probably due to midday and a holiday. All the food is ordered inside, and each container sends over the order. The 8 of us all ordered from different concepts, BBQ, pizza, Burgers, salads etc. I was actually SUPER impressed with how fast the food came out from each place. Because was Monday, they offer $10 special on Mon-Tues and it's quite healthy portions, after all the eating out we did all weekend, it was nice to get a good deal. The food was also very good quality. As for service, we talked with multiple staff members who were eager to help, explain, and take care of us. At one point, right on schedule, my child spilt a lemonade, and two servers jumped right to our aid, and even made some nice comments about how it's okay it happens, and thats why the ground is concrete. So so gracious and I left feeling full, and really happy! this is definitely a new spot, learning new operations, so I would enter with an open mind and try to have fun :) read more

This is the coolest concept and I hope they open one in Charleston! We came here twice in the four days I was in town-- once to play pickle ball and once for dinner. Both times were great. It's $20 to rent a court for an hour, which I'm happy to pay considering how busy the public courts can be. The outdoor entertainment area is awesome-- from fire pits to private little tents to yard games to a stage with giant TVs playing whatever sports game is on, it's easy to lose track of time hanging out here. Food was okay. My BBQ pulled pork sandwich was very meh. The service was lovely but a little slow/discombobulated. Not surprising because they JUST opened and are still getting into the swing of things/hiring staff. Plus, we had a group of 15 for dinner. Even a well established restaurant would likely find that big of a group chaotic and challenging to serve ! They did an awesome job accommodating us. And our server was extremely nice. I'm excited to return to SERV next time I'm in Kansas City. This place is going to be the hottest spring/summer hangout for sure. read more

Food was alright. We ordered the wings and fries combo but they ran out of fries. But the problem was it took them forever for them to come ask us for what we want and after we asked where the fries were, they ghosted us for like a good 20min. Multiple times we asked, multiple times they went and check but never came back. But at the end, they brought us 2 orders of tater tots as service with no extra charge. But still, the waiters/waitresses are just standing around and talking to each other. Service seriously is bad here. Maybe I'll come back to check it out again when the other stuff is fully built but as if now, not impressed. The pickleball courts are pretty nice however, the light fixtures are pretty low so you really can't lob the ball without the lights interfering. read more

The concept is exceptional and offers something for everyone. There are lots of food options for varying taste buds and I particularly like the healthy choices. The "service" needs some tweaking at times but will get worked out with time. The indoor pickleball courts have a few lighting issues; either too dark on some or glare from sun on others. There is no advertised "open play" times as in other pb places which is not to inviting for pb players. The pb pro Connor is a really good player and I learn when I can get a lesson with him, however, he could do a little more to drum up some regular business. Many pb players are not too interested in expensive camps but more regular play and regular drills. Lots of potential here! read more
