OMG. 1000% best BBQ IN WA. Burnt pork belly hoagie was unbelievable. Great texture, truly perfect flavor and a good bark. Meat to fat ratio was spot on. (If you love pork belly, you know what I'm talking about) Toasted bun was fresh and delicious. Sauce was so good it felt wrong. Baked beans were very good too! So this morning my brother & I felt like getting biscuits and gravy and he suggested we go to Swampys. Now Im going to admit I had only seen Swampys by just driving by and seeing the two huge smokers by the building. I never had thought they would have biscuits and gravy but he said we had to go. So off we went. I let him do the ordering since I hadnt been. We both got a large order of biscuits (2 biscuits) and gravy. This gravy was perfectly seasoned with spices and smoke. The bacon and sausage was the perfect amount, it was absolutely perfect. Now normally when you get biscuits and gravy a place will just cover the biscuit with gravy, Swampys cut the biscuit open, put a little gravy on it, then closed it and covered it with more gravy... I mean, really could you ask for anything better than that.. The biscuits were baked perfectly. If anyone asks me for a place that has good biscuits and gravy, im definitely recommending Swampys and I definitely will be going back myself and bringing whoever wants to join me.... I found a hidden jewel in Kennewick. I first found this truck referenced on Instagram and decided that I have to try it the next time I was in the Tri-Cities. It's an unassuming food truck that was in front of a massive wood fire barbecue. The menu is limited and apparently they run out frequently. You could tell it was good by the number of people that were queued up. Today they had Tri Tip hoagies and pulled pork, coleslaw and smoky macaroni and cheese. I tried the Tri Tip and the pulled pork. Delicious. I ate it so quick I didn't even get to try the bbq sauce. I'm a brisket fan but this Tri tip was a game changer. I wasn't sure which I liked better by the end of the meal. The menu changes frequently. The owner Ron said they'll have nachos back on the menu soon. Do you think they'd sell me four or five pounds of the Tri Tip or pulled pork next time? Typically I'd post pictures of the food but I ate it so quickly that I forgot to take pictures. This group needs a "brick and mortar." Today they were paired up with a dessert truck selling cupcakes, banana pudding and other sweets. Keep your eyes open for this one you won't be disappointed. I have been very pleased. Real BBQ, you can see their smokers right next to the truck. They do it the right way. Super tender and moist brisket and the BabyBack pork ribs are delicious. Their seasonings and sauce are very good without overpowering the flavor of the smoked meat or being too salty. They are super friendly and aim to please. After reading all the reviews and driving by dozens of times I decided to try it out. Not the best, not the worst. Had the burnt end hoagie, all I could taste was the smoke. The sauce is to sweet and the mac and cheese was basic, with only one tiny piece of bacon in the scoop. read more

Ron and his team catered for our wedding a week and a half ago and oh my goshhhh! We got a taste test beforehand and we knew the ribs and chicken were amazing (seriously, the way he does the chicken maintains SO much of the moisture, it was falling off the bone!), but when we got the rest of the feast? YUM. The pulled pork was a wedding favorite and so was the mac and cheese! Aside from the food being amazing, Ron is also super responsive and worked with us a lot on proper portions of food to get and was even able to get us some salmon for the big day.
