Love it here. My nail tech went from one salon to this one. And I absolutely love swanky a lot better. It's always a fun environment there.

I went to Swanky Studio Boutique for the first time and had my hair done by Nichole Brubaker. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. What I asked for and what I received were completely different. After my hair was bleached, it started falling out before I even sat back down in the chair. I immediately brought it to Nichole's attention, and instead of addressing my concern, she told me to stop touching my hair. Several hours later, my scalp was still burning and itching severely. I also pointed out that my hair was yellow, even though that was not the color I wanted. In the salon, I was told it was "just the lighting," and the lights were turned off. When I got home, it was obvious my hair was still yellow. I texted Nichole to let her know, and her only response was, "That's what you wanted." There was no apology, no concern about my scalp burning or my hair falling out, and no offer to correct the situation. If you're looking for yellow hair, hair breakage, a burning scalp, and poor customer service with no accountability, this may be the salon for you. Otherwise, I would recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I go to Swanky to get my nails done by Gisele (Gigi). She does an AMAZING job on my manicure and pedicure. She can paint just about anything and is very reasonably priced! Glad I took my friend's recommendation to go see her! read more

it was my first visit. The cut was OK but the stylist (who I will not name here) pretty much fried my hair. I asked for highlights. She proceeded to foil my entire head, which took forever, cost a lot, and worst of all left me looking like a peroxide head from the 50s with dried-out hair. When she applied a "toner" to "tone down the color" after the foils, I knew something was not right. I've had highlights for years and no one ever used a "toner," i had to buy a box of at-home color to cover the overly processed colir that was not highlights at all. read more

This is a great salon to get your nails and hair done. Unfortunately, I no longer do business here because of one nail tech MARCY. I usually give a nail place three chances before I switch to another shop but she was very unprofessional! My first bad experience with her was when I broke a nail and I texted her about it to see if she could fix it that week and I received no reply. Hours Later I called her and left a voicemail and she never called back. The week after that another nail broke and I texted her again after being ignored for a week that another nail had broken and I need them fixed. She texted back and stated she did not have any openings and that I would have to wait until my appointment which was at the end of the week (Saturday). The next day another nail broke and I informed her via text and she magically had an opening at 4pm when are during my work hours plus I had prior plans and I told her she would just have to fix them when I go for my appointment. The other strike was this past weekend when she cut three of my cuticles in which one caused me to bleed and the others are forming scabs now. She blamed me for being tense for the reason why she cut me. She was dealing with personal issues and brought them to work and took out her frustration. She keep having an attitude when I told her the drill was too hot! It was not until I had to get more stern with her for her demeanor to become calmer. She took a phone call for 20 mins when I had another appointment at a different place and I had to call to cancel it because she was so far behind. She sloppily painted my nails because she did not want to service her next client. She did not do what I asked her to do and afterwards stated that I should come back the next day (Sunday) at 2pm so she could fix my nails because she did not like them. The final straw was when I went back the next day she did not show up. I texted her and received no reply back and waited at the shop with the cleaning lady until 2:20p. I gave her a phone call and she did not answer. At that point I was done with her and would not ever recommend anyone to get their nails done by her. She returned my call as I was leaving but I declined them both times because she had made me very upset as a customer for her unprofessional-ism. read more

I love getting my nails done here, both hands and toes. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and the owner Missy McCormick, who does my nails, Welcomes everyone who walks in. They have their own parking lot in downtown New Smyrna, which is very convenient. The shop itself is very clean and roomy. There are several hair stylists , barbers, nail techs and nails and hair are done in separate areas. They also offer spray tanning and massage and cosmetics and can handle groups. While in the pedicure station you can have a chair massage at no extra charge. They also have a sister salon, Swanky Studio which is a short block away and has the same offerings plus more.
