The service was horrible Kate the manicurist started on my full set and then she stopped because I asked her to use the nail file instead of the electric filer on my nails. This salon just opened in Menifee. I was so excited to try them out. The atmosphere is amazing. The salon is nicely decorated and absolutely stunning inside. Upon entering a gentleman asked if I could come back in 30 mins. No problem. I ran an errand and came back. When I came back there were tons of people waiting. There were only about 4-5 workers. The gentleman was not there and the lady who asked if I needed help didn't seem to realize I had already checked in. I told her and she said I would need to still wait. I waited another 20 mins before they took me. While waiting, a ton of people came in saying they had appointments. The workers did not seem to acknowledge everyone's time and never once apologized for being backed up. When It was finally my turn, the lady removed my old gel, and gave me a gel manicure all in 15 minutes. Yes 15 minutes! That should have been my first sign. She did not seem to care about how well she did on my nails and I felt like she just carelessly did my nails to get me out and on to the next one. I didn't say anything since my nails looked pretty decent and I knew they were busy. Fast forward to today (one day later) I have TWO nails chipping. I am so so disappointed!! The lady who did my short acrylics was sick and coughed all over my hands and was rushing really fast, she messed up on my thumb nail so I made her do it again. When she painted it she left little bumps of paint. She also left the white like material all around my nails. My nails are now uneven and she was such in a hurry she didn't even let my acrylic dry!! I am so disappointed with how they turned out! ***Note ***this is from my daughter, this is first time getting acrylic nails. It was gel and they didn't put something on her nails and she never washed her hands. On top of getting a $5 tip I wish I would have talked to my daughter and seen them before tipping ( I believe her name was Hannah) $37 plus $5 tip these should have never been this price the work was horrible. She needs more practice. I got a mani and this was our first time here. ( miss my San Diego nail ladies) I got two cuts on my thumbs on my cuticle. I guess I'm a good tipper gave her $5. But she was gone when I came back. No. Just NO!!! Absolutely do not go here. I am not quite sure how people can give this place a 5 star rating. My wife and my 5 year old daughter went here for the first and last time. First off, they were not friendly or welcoming whatsoever. Not accommodating to my daughter at all. Not friendly, not courteous, not professional at all. Didn't say Hi to my daugher when starting her nails, just grabbed her hands and started doing her thing. I understand that there may be a language barrier, but at least smile at the girl or say HI. Something to make her feel welcoming. When it was time to chose a color, she just shouted across the room what color she wanted. Same treatment for my wife. If I could, I would give this business zero stars! I've come to this salon a handful of times & noticed each experience would be different (not in a positive way), but I would give the benefit of the doubt. My most recent experience is my drawing point of never coming back again. First, the reviews already shared here are very accurate. This business is dirty & they do not clean their stations right after they take the next customer. The tools are not sanitized properly either! They also dumped the liquid used for my acrylics back into the container to use again! As mentioned by others, the employees here all have an attitude, & spend a significant amount of time on the phone scrolling through social media or answering personal phone calls during the services. Second, the customer service is terrible! After getting a full set of nails done by Andy & a pedicure, I went home & realized that my cuticles on my hands were pushing back so my nails basically looked like I was already in need of a fill. I also had a poor experience with my pedicure but that's a different story. I called & spoke to Roxy (the lady in the front desk) & explained what happened. She was very dismissive from the start & told me to just come back in so they can fix it. Due to personal circumstances to where I wasn't wanting to come back, I had asked if she could speak to the owner & give me back partial credit. Roxy said she would. Days went by & I never heard anything back. I called Roxy again to find out the status & she once again told me to come back & just get it fixed because she already knows the owner will say the same thing. I am upset that Roxy is speaking in behalf of the owner with assumptions & not making the effort to make me, THE CUSTOMER, happy! Her tone was unacceptable & to top it off, the man who did my nails, Andy, was denying he did my nails after I had a full conversation with him from the beginning & even sent him a photo of my nails he did. He knew exactly who I was. I strongly recommend future customers to NOT BOTHER COMING here. Vivian does a fantastic job. She is a perfectionist and delights in making sure you are happy with how your nails look. Tried the cat's eye design. Love how it came out. They opened just a few days ago, and seemed to be getting busy. All clientele was greeted and sat in a timely manner. Hardly a wait considering most were walk-ins. The salon was beautifully decorated and clean. Pedicure chairs look luxurious and comfortable. Even though I wasn't able to get a pedi, I will be returning for one. I'm honestly really sad. I got #3 mani and #3 pedi with gel nail (after I asked for regular polish) because I was told it last longer and it's better for my nails. Well that was on the 21st on the 23rd I noticed my toe was chiped but it's glitter and it's not that visible no worries 24th I noticed some lifting on my nails but still not bad. Today 3 nails are off and another one is about to come off. I called the lady to tell her and she said yes some people are oily and 1 week is good. Well the 21st to the 26th is not 1 week and it's not my "oily skin" I actually have dry skin but ok. My visit was 45 mins long for Delux Premium Mani Pedi. I'll be honest I don't get my nails done so I was not really sure what to expect but I'm almost 100 percent sure that it should last at least 2 weeks it's gel polish right. On top of that the gel was placed far from the cuticles. I also got my brows "cleaned up" but they are not cleaned they are terrible. I'm just really sad and I was very excited to finally be able to do something nice for myself. I just feel like I wasted my time and hard earned money. Linda ( owner at the front) over schedules people, and even if you make an appointment you still have to wait 20,30,40 minutes for someone to seat you. What's the point of scheduling an appointment if you still have to wait ‍. Michelle ( sitting next to Linda) is a snob. Very rude, and talks about you in her language. It's happened before where she says something in her language and everyone makes it so obvious by looking directly at you, they all start giggling. Last is Tracy ‍ she has to be the slowest one there. Very slow, but still happens to mess things ups. She did my nails the last two times. Nails were uneven didn't match, one hand had longer nails than the other hand. The nails she did were powered dip, and still happened to crack 2 days later. Anyways save your money go somewhere else. My first time here and I received a full acrylic set and gel polish with an accent nail, and a callus removal pedicure. I'm a perfectionist, as well as a business administrator, so I tend to be a bit picky. Attitude is just as important to me, as is the service. I have to say I love my nails and the tech that did them was pleasant with a nice smile. She was on the quieter side, but most artists are when they're focusing. To be honest, I'm not one to talk much either when trying to relax after a hard day at work. I will most definitely be requesting her in the future. The posted picture happens to be day two, after a night of working on my wire wrapping jewelry, and my nails still look great to me. Perfect shape, general consistency, and polish. The tech that did my pedicure did a really good job, but her attitude needs a slight adjustment. I understand that it was an evening appointment and she may have been a bit tired. However, keeping a good attitude is important to a lot of patrons. It's very important for me to feel relaxed during these services and I was tense for most of the duration of my pedicure. So what happened was, I ignored her attitude bite, when she directed me to sit. I wasn't really sure if she intended to be a bit harsh. But it was when I didn't understand a certain word she was saying, it then got really uncomfortable. Instead of explaining, she became frustrated and wouldn't clarify for me. I apologized and stated that I still didn't understand what word she was saying. It was obvious she was upset, because she spoke out loud in her native tongue and repeated the same word I couldn't understand. Like she was mocking me and the other employees got extra quiet. There's always that one drama queen and it wasn't even all that serious. Lol Not to mention, I'm half Asian, so I understand more than she may have thought. In the end she seemed to have lightened up, but I don't appreciate the time of relaxation that I lost over it. I tend to observe rather than become confrontational. Therefore, I may avoid her in the future. Note how the negative side of this report is longer? That's a typical human nature response. From a marketing standpoint, it's best to train employees about their attitude, for they can certainly make you or break you. if it wasn't for my good nature, the wonderful nails and, granted.....a good pedicure, I would, again, be on the hunt for that great service I pay hard earned money for. The shop was comfortable, with nice decor, and the shop and bathroom was fairly clean. I do remember that no antiseptic powder was used in the pedicure water, so, I'll make sure to point that out next time. I observed the other techs and all their work appeared to be very good, as well as their attitudes. The receptionist speaks clear English. Not that it matters to me, but for informational purposes, I know it matters to others. With your service payment, you receive a reward card to use on future services. It's a good incentive to return and I certainly will. Update: I'm really too soft hearted and wanted to delete any negativity in my review but in the spirit of being fair I reluctantly won't. Instead, I'm posting pictures of my Callus Removal Pedicure. I really like the attention to the thorough cuticle removal around and on top of my nail beds, along with the extra detail of clipping the sides of my toenails. Massage was nice. I'll know to pay for extra massage minutes on my next pedicure, if I use this same tech. I apologize I didn't get her name. I paid EXTRA for gel on my toes and they usually last me two months!!!! But here after eight days my polish was chipping and peeling!!! I recently visited Swan's Nails under the impression it was where I had my nails done a couple of weeks ago. After realizing my oversight, I returned to the salon and candidly admitted my error. The staff kindly agreed to redo my nails. However, the gel X set quickly began to lift and pop off within hours. Given that this nail set was intended for my upcoming wedding, it's been nothing short of a nightmare. When I went back the next morning to address the issue, I felt overlooked. They refunded the cost of the service but retained the tip. This isn't my first unfavorable experience at Swan's Nails, and I deeply regret not trusting my initial instinct to avoid this salon. 2 stars instead of 1 bc they gave me $60 cash back that I paid for the service instead of telling me to just kick rocks. To add insult to injury, when I went to go get my nails fixed at a different salon they told me that this salon did not use the correct gel X tip.
