We highly recommend Rose, Always Available Pet Sitting. Right from the beginning Rose was organized and business-like, taking note of the names of each pet, the amount of food, times of day to be fed, locations for food, treats, etc. Rose cared for our 4 dogs and cat for 9 days while we went on vacation. She did not hesitate to come an extra day when our flight was canceled last minute. Rose did a lot more than just feed our fur babies. She spent time playing with them as well as watching their behavior to make sure they got along and played together safely. (We have 3 large dogs and a small beagle.) She even called us to make sure we were comfortable with what she saw. She left notes from each day and also texted us notes and photos. It's clear Rose loves animals and has experience with animal behavior. We felt so much more at ease on our vacation knowing Rose was watching our pets. We will be using Rose's services again. read more

After putting in a dispute with PayPal, I was awarded my $40 deposit back. I would recommend that anyone else who was scammed by Rose make a dispute with PayPal as well. But even if I hadn't gotten the deposit back, it would be worth $40 to warn others about trusting this woman with animals. I wouldn't trust this woman with a pet rock! I would recommend that before you book this woman, look at the 1 star reviews as I am clearly not the only one! And look at her responses to the reviews. I think they say it all! read more

Rose is the best. I actually had a short notice to give her as I had a situation with my niece out of state Rose was able to accommodate me and she's always good with my cat Roma girl. I have used her services a couple of times and have never been disappointed. I love how each day she updates me and I love how I come back home and see her notes that she has waiting for me on my kitchen table. Rose was very accommodating to our rather late notice request for a pet sitter for our cats while we were backpacking. She met with us the very next day to sign the contract, and the following day we left, knowing that Luca and Cali were in good hands. This is not someone you want to trust with your animals - I had to block her number because of the multiple harassing calls I received from Rose after posting my last review - I also posted a similar review on another pet review website and she claims that it is an "AI" post, let me assure you I am a real woman with real concerns - people in the neighborhood are starting to feel uncomfortable with the large animal traps she sets out in front of her home (I would post pictures but I want to respect her privacy, even though she can't seem to respect mine) - last week, she also confronted me at a local grocery store near where we both live and called me multiple names including "liar" and "psychotic b****" and once again tried to bully me into taking my review down - for her claiming it to be "fake" she sure is concerned about me taking it down - all this would have taken to resolve is for her to apologize and not try to bill me for days she did not show up. Something else I did not add in my previous review - be careful letting her into your home, she let out a GIANT fart in the middle of her consultation that she tried to blame on my hard wood floors creaking. I truly hope she has some family that can come help her, she's not doing well. read more

Absolutely terrible service, would never recommend Rose to take care of any pets and I'm upset that I let her be responsible for mine. I should have read the other negative Yelp reviews before booking, they all validate my experience. I had Rose cat sit for my 2 cats for 2 days. There were many issues with her service, but I'll list the most important ones here. She charged $35 just for the meet and greet which I've never heard of before, and after we scheduled it she asked for the gate code and building number (which is just the number in my address) which I texted to her. The morning of the first pet sit comes, I get a text and phone call waking me up at 6:45am asking for the gate code saying that she can't get in. I missed the phone call, but texted her back to send her the gate code again. A few minutes go by and I'm waiting for confirmation that she got into the gate, and when she texts me back she says yes she got in but asks if the number I just sent her is my building number. Huh? No, you asked for the gate code so I sent you what you asked for. Before I can text back I get another phone call asking what my building number is because she doesn't see it. I tell her that the number I sent was not the building, and tell her the correct building. She finally figures it out and she gets into the apartment. You didn't need to call me or text me at all since you had this information already, you've visited my apartment before, you're not making any sense when I'm trying to answer your questions, and you woke me up early in the morning for something completely unnecessary. On the next visit, she texts me saying she wasn't able to open the cat feeder to add more food to the top. I have a gravity feeder setup while I'm away on trips so there is a compartment on the top that you can add food to and the food falls down into the dish below. I had asked her to top off the food since I wasn't sure if I added enough to last for my whole trip and it would be nice if she could make sure there was enough until I returned. She acted like the only thing she could do was add more food to the top and since she couldn't figure it out didn't give my cats any more food. When I questioned this, she didn't seem to have a response. It's not hard to just twist the top off the feeder, it's a quarter turn then pull it off. Even if you can't figure it out, add a few more scoops to the bowl or another dish next to it or something. Seems like she wanted more money to have to come back to add more food and made a dumb excuse why she couldn't figure it out. Another reason why this was an issue is because I have a pet camera setup that has a view down the hallway to the litter boxes, to the kitchen to see the food and water dishes, and into the living room. After the second visit, I could no longer see down the hallway and my view of the food bowl was blocked because the camera had been moved back on the table by about 8 inches. I asked her if she moved it, she made another dumb excuse why it was moved saying that the cats were very active and they must have jumped and bumped it. They've never moved the camera before during this trip or any others, so you're saying they were only active and jumping around when you were there? And it was conveniently placed just so that I couldn't see the food bowls anymore, in the exact same orientation as before, not knocked over just pushed straight back by about 8 inches? Unfortunately this camera only does live feed so I couldn't go back and look at the footage to see what really happened. But this sounded like another part of her plan to try to get more money by coming back for additional visits to fix things. She had said at the meet and greet that she would leave my house as good if not better than she found it, but she moved my things and did not put them back where she found them. Even if it was the cats I still think you should put things back in place that were moved during your visit. She also left my toilet lid up so that the cats got into the toilet and tracked their paws with toilet water on them around the house which is the reason I keep it closed, and she moved where my litter mats were placed near the litter boxes and didn't move them back. After my experience and reading other reviews, I think Rose needs to learn how to treat her customers with respect and not just try to scam people out of their money at the risk of their pets. read more

After a quick Google search, I stumbled upon Rose from Always Available Pet Sitting. Her website was very straight forwarded and I liked that she was licensed and insured. My animals are my kids and I don't want just anyone wandering into my home. Rose was quick to respond back to my email. She is very direct and upfront. Our first meeting was extremely thorough. She had a legal contract, which for me was wonderful. This woman cares about the quality of her business and shows this with open and direct communication. We have used Rose 3 times with no complaints. This last time we went out of town for 3 days. Upon returning home, we discovered that our cat was stuck in a back bedroom with the door closed. The cat had been back there for for a minimum of 16 hours, hopefully not longer. The cat had knocked things over and went to the bathroom a few times. We really have no idea how long he was stuck back there. The confusing thing to us was the cat got locked in our back bedroom and that door was closed. Meaning, Rose was going in parts of our home that were closed off and she had no reason or permission to enter. The worst part about all of this was that when I called to tell her what had happened, she made up a story that made no sense and then absolutely refused to refund my money. So she felt it was morally acceptable to keep my money after locking my cat in a back bedroom that she had no business going into. We will never use her or recommend her again. read more

I contacted Rose almost two months before I needed her for an overnight stay. I scheduled and paid for two visits (basically meet and greets) with her and my dogs to make sure they were comfortable with one another. Everything appeared to be fine, and she scheduled me for two additional visits and an overnight stay and gave me her pet sitting contract. Tonight, two weeks before the scheduled overnight stay, she called me and cancelled, stating she is slammed and can't make it on the agreed upon date. Obviously, she decided that she could make more money elsewhere, despite the fact that I hired her first and she accepted. As this is vacation season, it is not easy to find a replacement at this late date. I am very disappointed and upset at her unethical behavior, and for her wasting my money on the two meet and greets which obviously served no person since she is not coming to pet sit.
