I even had to ask for a refund of the original cleaning charge. I took the dress to Vogue Cleaners right down the street, and they were able to completely restore it. Their customer service was outstanding. What disappointed me most was the lack of accountability, communication, and even a simple apology. As a long-time customer, I expected much better. I had been watering the outside plants while wearing the shoes, so mud was their most prevalent color. I actually bought a new pair of shoes identical to these old, battered, smelly ones before I thought of asking Rytina if they cleaned old shoes. I brought them the shoes, and a few days later I picked them up, brought them home, checked them out, shrieked in delight, and wore them. They are seriously just like new. And now I have a problem: I can't tell the difference between my brand new tennies and my old Rytina-cleaned tennies. I think I have mixed up the pairs. And seriously --- if that's the biggest problem.....

Most recently, I took in a well-made jacket with a zip-in vest that I've owned and dry-cleaned for years without a problem. When I picked it up, one of the zipper pulls had come off. Even more puzzling, that side of the insert had been sewn directly to the jacket. I brought it back. A manager was very nice, but seemed to suggest I was confused about how my own jacket was constructed when I asked why anyone would sew the insert in place when it still had two other working zippers. They removed the stitching, but despite having a tailor, said they couldn't replace the zipper pull. I got the jacket back with no apology, credit or other acknowledgment of the problem. This wasn't our first issue. On another occasion, they lost several expensive items my wife had brought in. After repeatedly insisting they didn't have them, they eventually discovered the clothes had been placed under another customer's name. Again, no apology or credit for the hassle. I get it, mistakes happen. What's disappointing is the lack of accountability when they do. After two significant problems, we're not particularly interested in seeing whether the third time is the charm.

Prices were fair and they did a next-day turnaround for me which was greatly appreciated. Knocking off one star as I dropped the clothing off with a nice hanger meant for the suit / pants, but when I picked up my clothes the hanger was missing and had been replaced with the cheaper dry-cleaning hangers. They offered to make it right and said they'd hold a different nicer hanger for me if I wanted to come and get it, but it wasn't worth the drive. The suit came out great, but did have a strong chemical smell which dissipated within 12-24 hours of being left out to air out before the funeral, something to be mindful of if you have a short time table!
