This place never loses my buttons. Almost every dry cleaner I have been to has left my cardigans or dresses without buttons, which is annoying. Horrific customer service. I brought in a dress for hemming on a Monday, and was told it would be ready by that Friday at 5pm. When driving by on Friday around 2:30, I noticed the dress was still hanging in the window in seemingly the same place and position it had been all week. I stopped in to ask if it might be ready a few hours early, and the employee looked at me a bit sadly and said, "Oh, I meant to call you. The seamstress didn't get to it, and she's out of town for the weekend now." I needed the dress for an event on Saturday night, and said so when I dropped the dress off on Monday. The owner/seamstress had just ignored the dress all week, her employee noticed, and did nothing to rectify the situation or inform me of the owner's failure. The employee said she would call the owner, but the owner/seamstress has yet to contact me. What could she do at this point? Find a friend to do the alteration? Reimburse me for the $250 I spent on the event tickets and $250 for the dress itself? There's a lack of attention and care here, and the owner selfishly seems to care about nothing but herself and her weekend getaways. The employee made it so much worse - had she contacted me when she noticed her boss's oversight, hours before, I might have had an opportunity to find another location to make the alteration. This place is terrible. I picked up my order a few months ago and noticed that a some of my shirts were missing. When I mentioned it, I was told that I must've miscounted when I dropped them off. I went home and checked to see if the missing shirts had actually left behind, but in fact I had dropped them off. I went back to the store and talked to the manager over the phone and then the shirts were magically found. My time had been wasted and I'd been lied to. They didn't make it right. No apology, no refund. More recently, after complaining four or five times that my shirts were being creased in the wrong places, the manager offered to redo two of my shirts at no extra cost. It seemed like they were willing to make it right, but when I went to pick up the "re-done" shirts, they were actually in worse condition than before with even deeper creases. "I'll put a note on the order," I was told for the fifth or sixth time. But I'm feeling more and more certain that nothing is going to change. Incredibly frustrating. I'm a regular at this place. My curtains were filthy where my dogs used to peak through. Now, $60 later, they are clean. However, they were treated so harshly that they shrunk, the writing on the tag is illegible (it used to say, "100% cotton. Dry clean only. No steam"), and the pattern magically disappeared. Not a word was said as I picked them up. I didn't realize the changes until I rehung them at home. I will never go here again. read more

We recently moved to the area and tried this place. The first time I had a few dresses cleaned, I thought the price--$15--was a bit high considering they were simple, one piece dresses. I chalked the high price up to the fact that they advertise their Eco-friendly cleaning. I just got three of my husband's shirts dry cleaned here, and I am APPALLED by the very low quality: -many deep wrinkles were pressed into the shirts -they left the collar stays in the collars and pressed over them! We now have permanent raised spots on his collars AND warped collar stays (see photos) -they wrote our (misspelled) name on the inside of all three shirts in PERMANENT pen...and you can see it from the front on two of them! We will never, ever be back, and I'll warn my friends against this joke of a dry cleaners! read more

My 1st time at this Cleaners my old one near by moved so I I haven't had services for about a year. The Lady was Rude. Didn't tell me when I dropped off 2 white/2blk men's shirts to be washed and pressed that they do use bleach and they have next day pickup but did not let me. 9 dollars , but they charge 80 cents for Debit card under $10. Next I asked for a price list, no its posted on the wall way up high in a sharpie marker. I tried to take pic, but there was too much reflection. Asked her if I could get closer or bring down to service desk No customers allowed behind desk. And she said the prices were not for Silk, Cashmere, Rayon.. just general prices. OK so I asked if the prices were on Web page, she thinks so. I already knew there wasn't any. I had called to ask prior what the charges are etc So I think I will be looking for another Dry Cleaners in the Carmichael Area. I work hard and budget my $$$ and my time. Brought in a jacket with a broken zipper, asked how much it would be to fix. It was a Saturday; the person working there didn't know, said they would call me during the week to tell me the price. Never got a call. About 10 days later I went back, talked to same lady, asked what was going on. She didn't know, she called her boss and found out they had already fixed it and it would be $55! I said no way: first they never called with the price, second they never called when it was done, third I wouldn't have paid that much if knew the price - jacket is barely worth it. She said she would work out something with her boss and give me a call. Fast forward about another 3 weeks, NEVER got a call! Again! Went back in, this time talked to another employee. I explained the whole thing, and argued that at this point the right thing to do would be to give me my jacket back and not charge me. She refused, I got tired of arguing and was forced to pay $35. read more

I love this place. They are very friendly, do really good work, and have competitive prices. They also have coupons from time to time that come in handy when I take my down comforters in. They do an excellent job. They were even able to get a spot out of my sisters wedding dress even after another place tried and failed. read more

The folks that run Arden Fair Cleaners have been dry cleaning my suits, laundering my dress shirts, and performing alterations for me for over 4 years now. The results are always great and I have never had a delay or problem. They are very meticulous and customer oriented. Their prices are reasonable -- in my opinion, a bargain given the high quality of their work. read more

Needed some shirts cleaned and pressed for an interview the next morning. They did a great job. Shirts were clean and properly pressed. What I liked most was their starching of the collar. I ordered light starch. I find even the light starching at a lot of places leaves the collar rough and irritating to my neck. Something has changed. Until recently we were regular customers for a few years and would have agreed with the positive things others have written about Arden Fair Cleaners. But over the past few months we've had several items damaged (relatively new items that had been cleaned/pressed here previously without difficulty). When we complained about the damage the response was to blame the quality of the garment. Then there was the overcharging - more than $40 for ~$18 worth of laundry. We were told by the clerk that she didn't know how to fix the incorrect charge and that the manager would call us next day. No call. Repeated excuse the following week. Finally, took in an item that just needed pressing and were presented with a bill for more than $100 for it. Argued the price back down to reality. None of this crazy stuff ever happened a year ago. But something is really out of whack here now. There are other cleaners at the same price-point up the street where the service reliability and cash register integrity aren't in question. read more
