Needed a rush cleaning for a short-notice funeral, and Safe and Save came up on a yelp search. I dropped off my suit supply suit, and got a shirt, suit, and pants cleaned. Prices were fair and they did a next-day turnaround for me which was greatly appreciated. Knocking off one star as I dropped the clothing off with a nice hanger meant for the suit / pants, but when I picked up my clothes the hanger was missing and had been replaced with the cheaper dry-cleaning hangers. They offered to make it right and said they'd hold a different nicer hanger for me if I wanted to come and get it, but it wasn't worth the drive. The suit came out great, but did have a strong chemical smell which dissipated within 12-24 hours of being left out to air out before the funeral, something to be mindful of if you have a short time table! read more

They are fantastic! The prices are unmatched and the quality of their work is excellent. I have had not only my wedding dress altered here but also my mom's dress and my bridesmaid dress. These ladies are kind , professional and experts at what they do. The dress was too tight and would not zip, they were able to work genius and now I am so excited for my wedding day. These 2nd photo is where it's too tight at he bottom and the other 1 and the last photos are where they opened the dress on the sides and made a beautiful corset back for the zipper that wouldn't zip. Also the back of the corset was not completely finished, they removed the rest of the corset in the dress where you see it. That's no longer there. read more

Pros and Cons. This is one of the cheapest places I found in Sac to dry clean a wedding dress. They honored the price they had told me over the phone and didn't charge me for re-cleaning my item after I noticed stains on it when I picked it up (one of them was a post-drop off stain that likely happened when they were pressing it). They were apologetic and said they would happily clean it again, so I was grateful for that. At the second pickup, I checked my item in the store and didn't see anything wrong, plus the dress looked very clean and white, so I was happy. Inspected it again at home and noticed a stain that I hadn't seen pre-drop off. I can't be sure this stain is from them, but I will not be taking it back. read more

DESTROYED OUR WEDDING SUIT/DRESS Paid hundreds of $$$ to dry clean my husband's suit and my dress. They shrunk my husbands 2,500 suit. How horrible to charge me for dry cleaning and then machine wash an expensive suit. The white shirt and my white dress look like they weren't even attempted to wash. It has been a few months now that I have been looking for a place to take my Dry Cleaning, ever since Woodards closed. My friend told me about this cleaners she jogs past a few times a week, so I decided to take a few things in a see how they did. Pinky was amazing from the beginning. She listened to my needs and concerns, and took good care of my wedding gown. I bought it used and the bride never cleaned it, for years! It had to be hemmed and taken in a little. When I picked it up and tried on, I was nearly in tears. The gown looked brand new, it was brighter and fresher than when I brought it in. She went above and beyond for me. The gown was missing the bodice sash. She special ordered it for me at her expense!! Who does that?! PINKY!!! I found Safe & Save after I went to a national competitor and found they didn't clean down pillows. They did a great job on my old and cherished down pillow and I have since used Safe & Save for all of my dry cleaning, alteration, and sewing needs. Their service is top-notch and prices are more than reasonable. I recently purchased some curtains for my bedroom and had them sew in black-out material. They measured the pants beforehand on my and made sure them length would be at the right spot before I left the clothes with them. They have consistently given me the lowest prices for dry cleaning in sacramento, and they do work as good as anyone. I even took a priceless hand stitched quilt my mom made over 3 years to them & they did it for $30. $20 less than ficetti's (when they were open) and every bit as well done. The only thing i can think of with them to qualm about is that the process/formula they use is not 'natural'. I took my favorite vince hoodie to them like 3 times one winter & it eventually smelled a bit of chemicals. You get the idea though. I'm new to East Sac, and thought I'd try a cleaners close by. I had a lovely sweater that needed to be cleaned and I pointed out the issues when I dropped it off...some dark rubbing on the back. She said it would be fine. When I picked it up, I asked to see the dirty area and not only was it all still there, but there was a huge 4 inch snag right above it. I pointed it out and she said it must have been there already. Well, since my whole focus was right there when I brought it in, I told her we would have seen it before. She kept it, saying she'd pull the snags through. When I went back, the dirty area was still there, and I noticed snags in other areas. I wanted to see what she'd do, so I paid the full bill...she handed me back a dollar for all the problems. Just plain offensive. First time, last time. IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO I WOULD GIVE THEM 100 OF THEM! MISTAKE 1: I have been a customer of Safe and Save for close to 5 years now and every 3 months I seem to have an issue that the company is unwilling to admit is there mistake. I moved to East Sacramento in 2011 and was in desperate need of a local cleaners that hopefully had good prices but most importantly had great customer service and stood by their work. I found only 1 of 3 things here. The prices are decent but the service is HORRIBLE! It all started when they loss a pair of pants that went to one of my favorite suits and some how convinced me that I must have missed placed them. Being on the road as much as I am for work, I said..."Sure, Ok....Maybe your right". MISTAKE 2: In the notes I ask for my pants with NO CREASES!!!!!! I mean its 2016 and I am not wearing "Pleated Pants" for Christ Sake! But of course.......every other time I pick up my suits before a business trip 3-4 of the pants have creases. They apologize I remind myself that the price is right and there will be an iron in my hotel, I shake my head in frustration then I am on my way. MISTAKE 3: I took in an all white Nike golf hat that I dropped while playing and asked to have it cleaned, the lady did mention it would be rather difficult. However, she took the hat and said she would try. A week later I picked the hat up. The Stains were still there and the hat looked like she gave it to her dog for a chew toy. when asked why it was ruined she responded and said "I don't know, Its not that bad. Try folding the bill". I asked her to take the hat off of my bill and throw it away. I didn't have to pay the $8.95 but I lost my favorite golf hat in the process. never once did they EVER mention anything they could do for my unsatisfied service. MISTAKE 4: As usual I pick up my suits before a trip and notice that there is a brand new sports coat (that does not belong to me) in with my clothes. I try calling the cleaners but they have closed for the evening. catch my flight in the am and forget all about the jacket. I get a call the next day asking if I can bring the jacket back after I had left a message on the machine. Of course I am unable to do that because I am out of town. The owner is very upset because the person who the jacket belongs to needs it for a wedding. I then have to call my neighbor (who has a spare key) to meet with them at 9pm at night and give the coat back. MISTAKE 5: my last straw should have been MISTAKE 1, But It was too convenient and the price was to good for me to look for another cleaners. I just got 2 new shirts that I wore only 1 TIME, I took them both in to get cleaned and only 1 came back. I went back and said I was missing a shirt. The response was "Go home and check your closet, maybe you made a mistake we counted 17 pieces and gave you back 17". I went home and checked. No shirt of course. they cant find it and now I am shit out of luck. If you go here you know the cleaning is not great and I am sure the prices keep you coming back. I would rather pay an extra $1 for no mistakes. I went to my last cleaners for 15 years and the only problem I ever had was that the line was too long during pick up. This place is LOW CLASS. They still have Christmas lights up from 2013 and don't seem to take any pride in their work. OH.....they also have another location that was recently closed down for lack of business in the Antelope area!!!!!! Gee I wonder why?!?!?!?! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! read more
