Stopped into Swatara Coffee Company in Jonestown and it's such a cute little café. It's set inside an old house, so it has that cozy, charming, slightly eclectic layout that makes you want to wander room to room. Parking is along the road, but it wasn't an issue. I ordered the Apple Pie Latte, and WOW! absolutely delicious. Warm, cozy, and sweet without being over the top. Exactly what a fall drink should taste like. We also tried the Toffee Cinnamon Bun Matcha (hot), and... that one wasn't for us. The flavor just didn't land, especially compared to how good the latte was. We also ordered a strawberry açaí refresher and that was delicious! The menu is huge tons of options for coffee lovers, tea drinkers, and people who like experimenting with seasonal flavors. Something as simple as a sausage and cheese bagel could have been better tasting. Nor was the bagel toasted. Just boring breakfast. And the coffee was cold at the "self-serve" station. Such a cute little place! I had no idea there was seating in the back half of the store too, so that was a surprise when I noticed that. I had an egg and cheese sandwich, which was nothing fancy, but tasty and hit the spot for me. I also had one of the seasonal lattes--the caramel apple latte. I ordered a regular, but was given a large, which I didn't mention. One of the girls at the counter recommended that I get extra syrup since the flavor was weak. I did, and was a little overpowered by the amount of sweet at the end of the glass. I think I would have liked it more if I hadn't gotten the syrup doubled! All in all, it was a cute cozy place to sit down and get some work done while in town briefly. I'd come back again. read more

Stopped in today after being out of the area. Got a Mississippi mud cake, a shaken pineberry lemonade, and a rosemary vanilla latte (as a steamer, so minus the espresso.) Neither drink was overly sweet, which was a perfect complement to the rich and moist cake. I kind of expected the cake to be a lot wetter by its look; however, it was the right texture and consistency, and any more moisture in it would have been soggy. The rosemary vanilla steamer was really unique because it had an herbiness that isn't often found in drinks. I would definitely try it again, this time maybe adding raspberry syrup, too. The pineberry lemonade reminds me of a lemonade with notes of strawberry and pineapple. It's great--next time I will also try the dragonfruit lemonade. read more

Driving back home from South Carolina we decided to search for a local coffee shop. We found Swatara Coffee in Jonesboro, PA. I had an ice coffee that was very good. The only problem was the ice coffee cup was to small. My wife had a specialty coffee and loved it. I really liked the " pay it forward" Board they had and thought it was a wonderful idea. read more

This stop was excellent. We are traveling NYC to Pittsburgh and needed a coffee breakfast stop. I wanted to try local and not Starbucks. The two iced mochas and a matcha, were delicious! Swatara Coffee Co (both locations--Jonestown and Annville) are good, though not great, coffee spots in Lebanon. The food is decent (the bagel sandwiches are a solid pick, skip the avo toast), but the coffee is sadly a bit mediocre. First time at Swatara Coffee Co. I was very impressed with the hospitality and the genuine care of local businesses and the background they share with you about their business. I chose the iced caramel macchiato with oat milk. Hands down the best iced coffee I have ever tasted!! Stopped in today while in town for my kid's basketball tournament. The place looked decent enough and the reviews weee promising. Ordered an iced coffee and a steak sandwich. The steak was awful - overcooked, chewy and tasteless. I asked to just switch it out for a bacon egg and cheese and was told that I'd have to purchase it separately. Really poor service. read more

I've honestly never written a review before but our service was so terrible that I had to let people know. We ordered ahead to the Jonestown location and they called us telling us our order would not be ready in the 3 minutes they had said on the app, instead it would be ready in 15 min ( ended up waiting 35 min). After waiting, our order came out wrong. We ordered 4 iced coffee and they ALL CAME OUT HOT! We kindly told them it was wrong. Instead of making us new coffees they simply dumped our hot coffee in iced and gave it back. Our coffee was completely watered down. Not even to mention we ordered a sandwich on a bagel ($.50 extra) and did not receive it. We also paid extra for Carmel drizzle and did not receive it. After all this they didn't even apologize for messing up our order so badly. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

Terrible service. Would never wish this type of service, food and coffee on my worst enemy. Everything is overpriced and they make you pay for every small upgrade and then do not put the customization on your sandwich. We ordered 4 iced coffees and they came out hot without our up charged whip cream. They then took our hot coffee back and dumped it into a cup of ice and handed it back. We went to the Jonestown location and had to wait over 45 minutes. I created a Yelp just to write this review for everyone. Never going back. read more
