I first visited this brewery thinking that the family restaurant would still be there. My son, the Nordic cleric and apprentice of the modern Asatru ways, was in town on Father's Day. We chose to visit the National Cemetery next door to pay respects to my father whose ashes are interred there. For brunch we chose Snitz Creek and were both surprised that it was a brewery open for breakfast on a Sunday. The Annville location was busy but not chaotic. The interior was clean and stocked full of merch as well as ample supplies of their crafted beverages. We were seated and served immediately by friendly staff. Young Krugaar and I sat together and I shared stories of his grandfather's adventures in the Blavatskian Art of Spiritualism, particularly his efforts to conjure the spirit of Georges Fauntli (the 18th century wizard responsible for preventing the Great Cataclysm of 1749 and rescuing Pope Clement XIII from Malebolgian insurrectionists.) Father was successful in extricating the sacred word from Fauntli confirming their connection across the void. Krugaar was also shocked to learn of father's role in recovering the sacred Ark from the German Army in Somalia in 1943 and its restoration to its secret location. Krugaar shared his success in taming the energies of the recent solar surge to enchant his mighty battle axe which he has dubbed 'Gorm Gudbruund'. Its power is only felt by supernatural creatures so he has yet to test his new weapon in combat against the dark forces. The Snitz Creek Special omelet was my order, in honor of father who would celebrate Father's Day with a plate of chipped beef on toast and scrambled eggs. My mother would pile the plate high to his delight. By comparison, this fat, delicious omelet represented something father would have adored - packed with potatoes, cheese, and crispy chipped beef and so flavorful. The Texas toast came covered in melted butter with just the perfect browning. I look forward to trying their special recipe for Creamed Chipped Beef next time. The turnaround in the kitchen was impressive based on the quality and quantity produced. Krugaar indulged in the meat lover omelet which he said was not greasy for something with so much ham, sausage, and bacon. He enjoyed it. He did not smash his coffee mug to the floor in praise, however, showing he has acclimated to this normative culture. The beer choices were intriguing and I was delighted to see the affordable growler options for their tapped selection. I took something home based entirely on the name - "The Smelly Smell That Smells Smelly" which boldly boasted anchovies as part of its ingredients. We were camping nearby and decided to stop by for lunch on a rainy day. The atmosphere was relaxed and service was friendly.  We sampled several of their beers (flights available) and found a few that were very good. We ended up purchasing 4 packs of the Hot Girls Like Pizza and the Blueberry Cream Ale.  The food was ok, but nothing special. We tried the Philly Cheesesteak tacos and Fish Tacos. The fish tacos were stuffed full of battered fish and topped with a slaw.  The cheesesteak tacos were very disappointing as only 2 of the 3 tacos had some meat on them as they were mainly slaw in a tortilla. It looked like they cooked one Steakumm to spread between all three and ran out by the third tortilla.  We will probably stop by and give them another try in the future read more

We spotted this brewery on our way to our destination and decided to stop on our way home. We had lunch and the food was excellent! The turkey sandwich was made with toasted turkey, not deli sliced turkey! The OMG BLT was also excellent! Since it is close to an exit on RT. 81, we hope to stop again on a trip through Pennsylvania. Nice ambiance. Very good service. We didn't try any of their beers but did purchase a crowler to bring home. We're looking forward to trying it (stout). read more

Best avocado toast of my life. More on that in a minute. Back in the day, I think this used to be a family restaurant, but I guess they moved to a different location? Now, it's an upscale brewery with a gas station attached, which seems like a weird combo but works, especially with its proximity to the highway. Service was phenomenal. We went at around 10am on a weekday. There were other diners, but it wasn't swarmed by any means. We had a bigger group (one of those "we don't know exactly how many is coming, but we need multiple tables" situations. Part of our party wound up coming like half an hour after we arrived and sat at a different table in the section they set aside for us, and the staff wasn't bothered at all. Food came out fast, our server was super nice and friendly, and my coffee cup never went empty (even after my plate was empty and I was out of my seat.) The menu was surprisingly fancy for the setting. I went with the avocado toast because I wasn't feeling anything sweet (though normally, I would've flipped for fall specials like cream-cheese-stuffed pumpkin french toast.) This was a good choice, because as I said, BEST AVO TOAST OF MY LIFE! It came with avocado spring mix, pepitas, cheese curds, squash, and a vinegarette (also, candied bacon but I opted out of that because I don't eat meat.) I never would've thought of these inventive toppings but they all worked together so well and were so fresh and well-balanced. Tonnnsss of flavor. Huge portions, and good price -- only $9 for this heaping, gorgeous pile of goodness. (Lol - a bunch of the rest of my family wound up ordering the same.) I'm a big fan of local beer and this place had many. I chose the halibut and chips since I love halibut- did not disappoint. This brewery used to be the restaurant Funck's which was a family favorite. The new restaurant/brewery did not disappoint. They have a full menu, cocktail list, draft beer list and had a Christmas specialty menu. When you walk in, they have beer cans on display for sale and in the cooler. The blueberry cream ale caught my eye and luckily it was on the draft menu. It did not disappoint and I loved that they added blueberries to the glass as well. They serve the beer at the table in 16 oz glasses but you can get growlers to go. We ordered the Turkey pretzel sandwich and hot Turkey from the specialty menu. They were both delicious. I changed my side from chips to fries which although was $2 extra, they were well worth it. The fries were the perfect crispiness. My dad and I stopped in after a long day in the car. We were starving and there was an accident on the highway so I Yelped a restaurant nearby and this one had good ratings. Yelp for the win! This place was great! We both ordered the fried fish entree with a side salad with their lemon vinaigrette. Even the salad was high-end! The greens were a nice spring mix and the vinaigrette was light and lemony. The entree was sooo good. My 75 year old dad said the French fries were the best he's had in his adult life. Lol Service was excellent. Our server was very attentive; granted we were in between the lunch and dinner rushes, we arrived 3:00ish. The place looked nice from the outside and didn't disappoint on the inside. It has a big bar and lots of table seating. I like that their tabletops for two are nice size and you aren't trying to make room for your plates. I should have taken a photo of my meal when I got it but hunger clouded my judgement. Decent food, great apps, decent happy hour. I haven't had any issues with service--seems speedy to me! Reliable wifi is a huge plus since they don't have that in the barracks at FIG, and the wide variety of beer on tap is a huge plus. We have always wanted to have dinner and drinks here and finally decided to go for it. We eat ordered a beer and some sandwiches - a burger and chicken. Both of the sandwiches were very good and so was the beers. They had music, which was nice - it was pretty mellow and not too terribly loud. There is nothing worse than not being able to hear yourself think. Waitstaff was super nice and on top of drinks, which was refreshing! We'll definitely return, sooner rather than later. read more

No better way to spend a Sunday early evening in the summertime. After a nice walk around Memorial Lake we headed over to Snitz Creek. Had a flight of draft beers- 4 - 5 ounce pours. All delicious- trout stout and citra haze probably my favorite. We sat outside and listen to the terrific music of Hank the Buffalo. These two awesome performers have great renditions of Creep to Johnny Cash! Sundays they have entertainment from 5-7 outside. Tour de force was their fried chicken dinner. So juicy and succulent- best fried chicken ever had. Dillon was our waiter - he was such a friendly and enthusiastic guy and very attentive! Fabulous experience all around! read more

I came here for some yummy tacos. i've heard through the grapevine that the tacos were good. Our server Lucy recommended the bang bang shrimp tacos. They were absolutely positively the best tacos i've ever had. Lucy was one of the best servers i've ever came across in my 50 years of living.
