The 24 year old main spring on my garage door broke yesterday with my car inside the garage. When the main spring breaks you can't open the garage door manually unless you have a couple of very strong guys. Who do you call? These guys know what they are doing. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and seasoned. We had another garage door service come out to fix an issue with our door (kept bouncing back up). They didn't fix the issue and charge a couple hundred dollars to replace some bearings that I probably didn't need replacing. Kurt explained great deal to us on how things work. We did need to replace the mechanism entirely to deal with our other issue (remotes not responding etc), but we got a brand new system for a fraction of the price we were quoted at the other place. As a native San Diegan I could not recommend Curt at Sweany's enough. When we purchased our home in 2003 he came out to show me how to keep my old opener running longer. (Their business sticker was on the unit). He didn't try to sell me a new one... Kind & knowledgeable is how I would describe him. Fast forward 15 years to today, I'm ordering two new units from him with lifetime guarantees on the units. The old garage door needs some love and he is fixing that for a nominal fee. Mr. Sweany installed our garage doors mid 2020. Easy breezy process, and haven't had any issues. Till today when I backed up into the garage door with the door halfway closed. It damaged the mechanism, and I was unable to close it. I called Kurt and within 15 minutes of talking to him, he and his brother were at the house fixing it. I had a problem with the garage door opener in my rental unit. Without the garage door opener we opened the garage manually and discovered the wooden door was in bad shape. Two separate issues, one was my responsibility the other the HOA's. Sweaney's garage doors worked with me and the HOA with no issues. They completed work, estimates, etc. as promised and even got things completed way before I expected since HOA approvals were needed. Kurt was very knowledgeable and friendly.
