Cool attention grabbing mural on building !

Cool indie independent record shop in Little Haiti. This store was in my list to checkout but what drew my eye while driving by was the crazy cool mural on the building that had art depictions of Prince, Grace Jones, MF Doom, Daft Punk and Iggy Pop !!! Had to do a quick U-Turn and check it out.... Wide range of music available both new and used. Tons of used records available for $1 so be prepared to dig ! Very friendly and helpful staff for not only the store but for recommending other local business in the area.

The girls at this shop are so sweet! We came to Miami for a festival and decided to shop around for some new music after getting a bunch of inspiration from the festival. The selection of records here is great and they seem to always have new stuff coming in! The girl checking us out at the register mentioned she was at the festival as well and her favorite set was also our favorite set, she helped us find a record by that same artist, knew exactly where it was and a bunch of fun facts about the record! We're definitely coming back next time we're in Miami :)

A year ago when every business had to shutdown due to the pandemic, I purchased a record and a shirt online for a scheduled pick up. Time went by and sweat records called me a few times to remind me they had my items... but I never picked them up. To my surprise, I received my items in the mail with a very nice hand written note. This place is a treasure!

I have finally sat down and written my long awaited review on this hidden gem of a place! I managed to visit during Art Basel. Located right next door to Churchill's on NE 2nd Ave, I was kind of hesitant entering with my boxer bulldog, but was welcomed by the gentleman behind the counter and was actually told that dogs were welcomed more than humans! OMG! Nothing in the world can beat a record shop that serves delicious organic coffee, sells vintage records, sometimes hosts awesome shows, and they welcome dogs?? Are you kidding me? What a CHILL VIBE!! I browsed through some of the records, and noticed that they were priced to how well they were preserved or kept. I was impressed with how they were indexed, sorted and stored, and I was more impressed with their overall selection. I will definitely be back.

This is MY FAVORITE RECORD STORE IN MIAMI. I will never buy vinyl anywhere else. Sweat has -- by far -- the widest selection of music I've seen, with an amazing variety of both new and used albums. The staff is also so nice and helpful, I had the absolute best shopping experience there today. I'll definitely be bringing all my friends and family to shop.

Deee-Lite, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard & the one, the only--- Fela Kuti-- been wanting this for too long!

Happy we took the drive from the West Palm Beach area to shop here! Great finds and got a bonus bag with our purchase! The staff was friendly and helpful! I appreciated the distancing and sanitization efforts too, thanks! We'll definitely be back once the piggy bank fills back up!

Really cool, hip store with large inventory of old records and interesting memorabilia on display. Also had 2 record players with headphones where customers could check out the vinyl while in the store. Really nice young guy helped us out, took videos of our records as he flipped through them, sent them to the owner who was offsite, and within about a half hour, they purchased a large stack of our records. Excellent customer service. If you want vinyl, go to Technique.

Technique records was a pleasant detour on a trip down to Miami. This store has a huge selection of records in varying conditions and genres. Mini records, promo albums, albums from other countries, singles, and even new unopened records can be found here. There is also a section for local artist. They also have several $1 bins where you can find hidden gems if you have the patience. This store was pretty consistently busy and staff was always around if you needed help with something. There are two turntables available to listen to records before you buy (as long as they aren't sealed). Definitely stop in with some time to explore whether you are new to vinyls or a pro.

This is a must only if you want used/vintage vinyl, especially prog, jazz, and world (although hip-hop and avant-garde sections pretty solid as well). Overall the prices are fair. I have found some great bargains, but to be fair, the cheaper vinyl veers more towards VG+. I've also found some obscurities and rarities (unpretentiously) mixed in, and those can get expensive (but again the prices are always fair). The owner is really nice and his partner owns a vintage store in the same strip. I'd put this in my top 20 record stores overall, especially considering the prices for this level of quality and rarity.

The store was kind of dark, some cool old school posters on the wall, and walked to the desk where a gray haired woman was sitting. We stated we had some vinyl in the car for sale, to which she blurted out "I'm on the phone"....no "hello", or "be with you shortly", or even "hey, we aren't buying albums at this time". She was on speaker, but since no one was talking when we walked in, we were unaware. She continued her long winded call and completely ignored us, and after 20 minutes, we walked out and discovered Technique Records on NE 79th Street, which was an amazing experience, friendly staff, and bought about 50 albums from us. My brother returned to Found Sound on 9/3, thinking he'd give them another try, maybe they had a bad day, etc. He met with the male owner and said he was in the store a week before. The owner proceeded to tell him that "oh yeah, my wife said that we had a bad attitude". What owner says this? Why a bad attitude? Were we breathing too much air in the store? They acted like they were doing us a favor by being open. Do yourself a favor...go to Technique Records instead and skip this shoebox of a store.

Reminded me of a record shop that I used to frequent back in Queens, NY in the 90s. If you're into rock and metal, you'll definitely love the selection here. They had all kinds of cool albums, including some really interesting sets and Record Store Day releases that you just don't see everywhere. They also had a bunch of reggae, soul and dance LP's. Prices were a little bit higher than you could find online for most things, but there were some deals here and there. My daughter found a bunch of singles for a buck or two that we're going for more money on eBay. She was psyched. One thing that I was disappointed with was that the selection appeared to be like 95% new vinyl. I was hoping to find some used bins to look through but it was really slim pickens for diamonds in the rough. That aside, gotta love a record store like this. I will definitely be back in the near future. Five stars.

It's a humble location; it's in a quiet strip mall off Oakland Park blvd. Honestly, as we pulled in to the mostly empty parking lot I thought we had the wrong location. But as we entered I realized what few mall customers there were, were all in the shop. And what a nice space it was. Old school basic layout that I liked. Just boxes and boxes of vinyl to sift through. They were well organized, with punk, funk, and more all set in their areas. And the RSD specials were displayed above each of the areas they related to. It's not a huge store, but with the limited quantity it helped me find a couple things I liked. Glad to make the acquaintance of We Got the Beats, and hope to be back soon.
