He will also be remodeling the restrooms, a sauna will also be installed in each room. The staff is friendly and helpful. The gym offers both free weights and machines for practically every body part. The members range from bodybuilders to senior citizens. Yet, unlike chains, University Fitness is not a "seen and be seen" place; so, no dropping weights on the floor with a loud bang followed by making sounds to get noticed. This is not a "pick up" joint! Members go there to workout. Personally, I like the fact that there are no contracts, no deposits, etc. -month-to-month. After a month you can pay for another month or not. Your choice!

You can have a very large class size and don't feel like you're on top of each other. The coaches are super friendly and they are attentive to every customer. They keep an eye on every client's performance and makes sure you follow correct posture and form throughout the workouts. This is a big deal to me cause if you don't do these types of workouts correctly you are susceptible to injury. HEW coaches don't lose a beat. They remember everyone's names and keep the environment upbeat and fun. This keeps me coming back for more. The location is large, clean and includes ample parking, full bathrooms with showers as well as a kid room where parents can bring their toddlers while they workout. If it weren't for the fact that my job is located down the street from HEW I would've never discovered it. Hopefully a Miami location? A girl can only hope.

It's clean, modern, and they have tons of equipment. they also offer eucalyptus towels at the end of each class. It's a small but nice touch that really takes them to another level and separates them from other studios. The coaches and owner also make the classes really engaging and fun. I usually struggle to push myself to get a work out in but the crowd here (mostly women!) are so supportive and fun that it doesn't feel like a chore and the hour flies by. I would highly recommend this gym and the workouts can be modified for all fitness levels.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at a gym at this LA Fitness…read morelocation. After seeing an ad for their 3-day pass, I registered online and booked a confirmed appointment for 9 AM. I even received a confirmation text. Because my closest location is closed, I drove over 30 minutes to get here. When I arrived, the associate at the front told me, "There's no one from sales to activate the pass or show you the club, so we can't help you." No apology, no alternative, no solution. I explained that I had a confirmed appointment and had driven a long distance. He just shrugged, clearly not caring. When I said I might have to post my experience publicly, another employee -- an older gentleman working there -- loudly said, "You should!" in a rude, confrontational tone. When I asked for clarification, he responded, "Do whatever you like." I calmly asked for his name. He refused, became visibly aggressive, and when I took a photo simply to document who I was speaking to, he escalated into insults and threatening behavior. Nothing justifies a staff member at a gym behaving like this toward a guest who arrived with a confirmed appointment. Between the complete disregard for appointments, the lack of accountability, and the hostile attitude of the employees, I left without being helped and genuinely shocked at how unprofessional this location is run. If this is how potential new members are treated when they walk in the door, I can only imagine what actual members deal with.
