Easily the worst business I've dealt with while living in Bensalem these past six years. They replaced our garbage disposal and "fixed" our leaky shower. The shower is now worse than ever and the garbage disposal stopped working after less than 4 months. Even worse, in the last 8 days I've sent 3 texts, called 2 different numbers twice each, and left a total of 3 voicemails. I've not heard a word back from them. Outstanding service from the initial call to completion. My water heater died New Years eve unexpectedly ! I called 5 other companies who did not answer and 3 never replied. Will and Owen both called me immediately and we more than friendly and understood the situation. They immediately scheduled an install that worked well for us. The work was impeccable and they followed all current covid protocols. They were promt, clean, friendly to our dogs and finished in the time frame they committed to. Would highly reccomend these gentlemen for plumbing services. We had a problematic garbage disposal so we called these guys. They kept us in the loops on timing and their schedule, showed up exactly when they said. They were pristinely dressed, and explained the problem to me in terms that I could understand. They asked me if they could proceed with the work before they did anything. Central air conditioner froze up. I turned it off to thaw out. The next day, I turned it back on and it did not work, and fan did not go on. I called Sweeney's, and they came out the same day, diagnosed and fixed the problem, and their price was very fair. I would recommend for AC service. Great experience. read more

Mr Sweeney answered the phone and came to my house immediately when I heard a very loud noise in the bathtub when the washing machine was draining - I can only describe it as: "Glub, glub, glub." I was terrified by the thought that sewage would come pouring into the house. I know someone who had that happen and it was a nightmare. Mr. Sweeney had the most up to date equipment available. He ran a camera down through the toilet to see what was happening - and it was bad. The roots of a massive cherry tree had gone into the pipe and clogged it. When the backhoe started digging, they found a full septic tank the house was built in the 1950s. Unbelievable. It was just left there when the house was connected to the township sewer system. The full septic tank sat there for decades apparently. We had no idea when we bought this house 3 years ago - maybe the previous owner didn't know - or maybe they knew and did not disclose it. The sewer pipe zig zagged across the yard to avoid the septic tank! It's surprising this crazy mess lasted as long as it did. The tank was pumped out and broken into pieces. Mr. Sweeney did not increase the cost !! So now we have a proper sewer pipe to the township system - and the full septic tank is gone. I am so grateful to Mr. Sweeney, his son and his crew for helping us. And he is an incredibly nice guy! He briefed us every step of the way. Sweeney's Mechanical is absolutely the best !! read more

He has done a few jobs for us (older house - fixed the heat, cleared a blocked utility sink drain, replaced a stuck water valve), and we have been impressed with him every time. This is long overdue. Will provided excellent service in a complicated situation - very prompt, very communicative, good and fast work, good price. While visiting my dad's house, I found water damage in a ceiling that proved to be a shower leak upstairs. Of course, other problems were revealed at the time, so we proceeded with a mini-reno of the bathroom. We challenged Will - we had to wait on funding approval from my long distance sister, access to the home by the live in caregiver, and had to tiptoe around my dad with Alzheimer's who could be upset by strangers doing work in his home. It's awesome to deal with such a great person - the owner (Will) has been doing this for 30 years and it show! I have retained their services for installing and remodeling projects and not just for emergencies! And with their 24/7 availability, they come right away and cater to their customers needs! He also educated us on our "emergency", we didn't NEED him to come out right away and he gave us a fix over the phone until he got to our home at 8am! Wow, what a major disappointment. Had a slow drain, claims he ran a cable machine and would not correct the problem. Was adamant that the problem was the rubber gromet around the base of the stopper, says this happens frequently. Paid him $185 for no progress. Fast forward a couple of months, drain is still slow and I'm thinking how can this be the gromet? So I go on YouTube and discover how to easily remove the P catch pipe and stopper. This was so ridiculously easy that it took five minutes (if that) to remove. Nothing in the P catch but I looked up in the stem from the base of the sink and saw darkness. Screwed this off and discovered my problem, completely full of gunk which was the root cause of the slow drain. Cleaned this out, reassembled and the drain worked like a charm. Next time before you call someone, go on YouTube and you will be amazed at what you will find. Shame on you Mr. Sweeney. read more

After calling multiple guys and not getting any calls back I came across Will and I'm so happy I did. He was responsive and showed up on time to give me an estimate. He was reasonably priced but what really won me over was his knowledge and years of experience (and he's just a super nice guy). In the end, he replaced two of our hvacs in a duplex we have. A tech came to my house approximately 6-8 weeks ago to give an estimate on installing a tankless propane water heater to replace our existing electric unit. The tech was nice and explained several points and left on a good note, saying it would take a day or two before I got the estimate. Never got anything about 10 days later. When my heat stopped working right in the middle February during this terrible winter, I knew exactly who to call. Will came out, diagnosed the problem and attempted to replace the capacitor to get the motor up and running again. Initially it seemed to work, but Will took the care to wait 20-30 minutes when we realized the problem was not going to be resolved with the simple solution. Will had to order the blower motor, but made sure to get back to my house before a giant snow storm hit and replaced the motor in a matter of a few hours.
