Tried my first full bod deep tissue massage with Skyy at his home spa (which was simple and cozy, not suffocating, with nice lighting and aromatherapy). Mindblown by the whole experience. He's very professional with great bedside manner, and if you ask, he'll explain why you have muscle tensions in certain areas. Deep knowledge of skeletal musculature and how it relates to health and the body. Very intuitive. Skyy made sure I felt comfortable and safe at all times, and before we started, of course asked about what areas I wanted to work on. What sold me was the fact that unlike most other massage therapists, you can tell he pours his heart into his work, and to him you're not just one of a dozen clients. Clearly it's not just a job for him- it's his calling. Most massage therapists have their own specialization of course, but they follow pretty much the same routine every time so nothing is really new, and you can tell it's all just habitual. Skyy allows his intuition to lead and (while still ensuring you're comfortable) will switch things up based on what your body needs. Never met anyone so gifted. I'm still trying to figure out how a person of her size & stature could manage to produce the amount of pressure she does (I mean this in the best way possible). It's uncanny. She seeks and destroys tension & knots more immediately and affectively than anyone else I've ever experienced. And she somehow does it in the most calm & relaxing manner. A few things jump out at me every time I visit. 1) it feels like she genuinely cares about her clients' well-being 2) she takes pride in her practice; her office is clean, cozy, and chic 3) she's an actual expert/true professional; she employs techniques that make me think she knows things others do not. Lastly, my wife and I both go to Erin regularly. Her and I have very different body types and different needs.
