First, their location is very inconvenient unless you are on foot, which may be great for U of MD students, but if you are in a car, its a disaster when it comes to parking. This business even has a sign saying ask about a parking pass and they are not responsible if your car is towed. This alone makes this place already super unattractive. I fought my instincts and gave this place a try, but honestly, felt like I wasted $12. They have a digital kiosk where you can order your drinks and I chose a HK style milk tea (hot) with less sugar and also a jasmine milk tea with boba. The ordering for the jasmine tea was weird because it has an option to choose $1 extra for boba but if you scroll a little further down, you can get boba, no extra charge. I thought that was a bit sneaky, which I didn't appreciate. I waited about 15 min and then my order was ready. The HK style milk tea was supposed to be in a glass container but I only saw the sign after I ordered that they didnt have glass containers. That really sucked. The other issue is that when my HK style milk tea (hot) was ready, it was barely warm, which also was disappointing as it was a bit cool outside and I wanted something hot to warm me up. The HK milk tea also wasn't that great either, nothing special. I've had HK milk teas for about $2 elsewhere and they were great, but this was overpriced and lukewarm. I wont be ordering this again. The other drink seemed OK as I ordered it for someone else. I also thought this place was kind of dirty and could have been more clean. Not sure why the windows looked so dirty. I found the place kind of gross and it just didnt feel as clean as I like businesses to be. Overall, a pretty underwhelming experience. You get one chance to make a good impression especially when there are so many boba options available. I definitely wont be coming back here again.

This time, I noticed they had a pho + milk tea combo, so I ordered it through the app. When my food arrived, I got the pho but there was no broth, just dry noodles. I also ordered beef pho with meatballs, and there were only two tiny meatballs, no beef at all, and the noodles were soggy and overcooked (and not how it looked in the photo advertised). My fiancé took it back so they could fix it. When he got there, he called me so I could speak to the worker. She told me, "I can pour some juice in it, but since you added meatballs, you'd have to buy another $14 combo to get beef because you didn't add beef to your pho." That made no sense why would I order another pho just to get what I already paid for? I told her I did add beef and asked her to check my receipt. She immediately cut me off, said "not my problem," and walked away. I was honestly in shock. I wasn't rude or yelling I just wanted my order corrected. It's just pho, but the customer service made the situation so much worse. She refused a refund or to give me her manager's information. Eventually, she handed my fiancé the soup, but the lid wasn't on correctly, so as soon as he got outside, it spilled all in the bag. At that point, I just threw it away. I'm honestly sad because I loved this place it's such a cute spot to study if you're a student, and the decor is really nice. But after this experience, I probably won't be coming back. I ended up having to order actual pho on Uber Eats, so I spent about $51 out of pocket for a replacement... which is insane in this economy i tried to call to get a hold of a manager to speak about the incident but their business phone number is suspended and is no longer in service I've attached a screenshot of my receipt below with the date to show that I did, in fact, order beef.

The cafe keeps adding to their ambiance. New TV's, comfortable seating, and a foos ball table for those who want to play. It must be working, because the cafe is always crowded when I am there. I don't know if they don't have a strong enough blender or if it just wasn't blended long enough but my drink came out super icy. The balance was also off. A good yogurt drink is a religious experience, and though I could tell this used fresh ingredients, it just didn't come out 'right'. IYKYK. There used to be this place in College Park that had a GOAT mango yogurt drink but sadly they mowed down the whole plaza and I don't think the shop found another location. I'm in mourning. Ding Cafe has a lot of other stuff on the menu and apparently artisanal ice cream, which had I been hungrier I might have tried. Unfortunately, it shares a plaza with Mia Cane which has really really good Vietnamese Ice Coffee, so if I come back earlier in the day when caffeine isn't verbotten...it's going to be hard to convince myself to try Ding again since it's easier to find good boba tea around here than good Cafe Sua De (sp). I found their menu on the wall a little bit confusing, but they have a QR code you can point to and get a lot more information, and the woman at the counter was also incredibly helpful. Honestly, this is probably their weakest area because a lot of these items seem to be in house creations -- even with a picture, I'm not quite sure what a "pink ocean" is. Or maybe I'm not as worldly as I think I am. :) I wound up getting a mango aqua fresca, and a pile of nance. Nance are actually another good example of a bit of confusion. Looking at the picture, especially on a phone, I wasn't entirely sure what they were -- some kind of baked good? -- but the employee quickly cleared up the confusion and told me they were a kind of fruit in a sauce. They're good, though I wouldn't order them again -- they've got that sapote flavour that cilantro has, and I can't do that (personal preference thing, nothing against them). The sauce on them was interesting, and added a weird bit of spice and sweetness to them. It was good, except for that one thing. :) The aqua fresca was amazing, and I definitely enjoyed it. My cup also wasn't filled all the way to the top, not sure why (is it because no ice?). For a drink that was almost $7 and very small, I don't know why they were stingy with that. My friend got the golden boba with roasted oolong milk tea. The flavor of the tea was amazing and the golden boba was perfectly chewy and had a bit of a honey flavor, really tasty.
