I've been coming here for a while and it's one of my favorite dessert spots, especially for the gelato crepes, so I was pretty disappointed with this visit. When we got there, we were told they weren't serving crepes anymore, so I almost left. We stayed since I was with friends and it was one of their first times here. Later, I saw someone order a crepe and was told they were only not doing the gelato crepes. They mentioned they had two other orders to make and could make a plain crepe with the gelato on the side instead. If they were still making savory crepes, I'm not sure what the difference was. I didn't even realize my friend had ordered the chicken savory crepe, so I would've been totally fine waiting for a gelato crepe as well. The froyo was okay, but the strawberry cheesecake gelato didn't have much strawberry flavor and we ended up throwing about half of the medium cup away. Our friend also thought the chicken savory crepe could've used a little more seasoning. My daughter loves froyo and this is the closest store from our house. As soon as I stepped inside, I felt warm heat.....too warm for ice cream or yogurt. Sure enough my froyo melted too fast. Listen, I have been going to sweet berry for ever but ever since the new management took over from the old sweet Korean lady, the floors and walls and everything are really disgusting. I see the employees cleaning but there's nothing else they can really do because the grout and floors are so gross. There is dust everywhere. I can just tell the store isn't being taken care of well. Sweet Berry is a great place to get crepes, waffles, froyo and gelato. It's one of my favorite dessert shops but I do have a few gripes regarding my most recent visit. I ordered a gelato crepe and the crepe was uniform in texture vs crispy at the edges which is important for the treat to go from mundane to out of this world! When the gelato crepe is already over $10, I begrudge that there is an upcharge for selecting a different gelato flavor than the one prescribed. I recently stopped in for a post pho date with my girls and I was able to regale them of years past when frozen yogurt shops could be found on every corner. I went with my favorite ... tart yogurt with mango popping boba + fresh fruit topping while my girls went with a more chocolatey, cookie topped option. They had so much fun making their own bowls and choosing their own toppings that they said this was better than any ice cream shop they have ever been to. Total for all three of us was about $14 (you pay by weight). There is lots of indoor seating to beat the heat and they even have one table just for the littles. Truly a blast the past! read more

I am not sure if the guy was new or something else, but he was taking forever, and he seemed confused when I put in my order. I initially wanted the Nutella Crepe with a scoop of gelato added on top because I thought it would be easier to share and I wanted to get a flavor of gelato that wasn't vanilla, but he seemed very confused for a minute, and then told me I should just get the Gelato crepe with Nutella drizzle instead, so I changed my order to that. I used to come here during high school when it was fairly new - it was new and their food was fresh with some great crepe selections. Their ice cream was also quite good at the time as well. While I visited the area a number of times since I didn't stop by until now to see this nostalgic place. Usually crepe places tend to age over time as management becomes less attentive... But Sweetberry has managed to stay refreshingly modern, sanitary, and well branded. This is hands down one of my favorite crepe places and I wish I remembered earlier. I got the ham and spinach crepe which was savory and delicious - and very cleanly made. I also got some of their frozen yogurt - they literally have the best toppings here so make sure to enjoy all the possibilities - I'm a rainbow sprinkle and popping boba gal. Their cut fruit is fresh and their keep their toppings well maintained (no weird spillovers). If you're not sure about the yogurt popping bubbles, they taste like Yakult. Normally, we love this place, but last night, we had our worst customer service experience ever at any establishment. Their staff person, quite frankly, was verbally abusive. They got our order wrong, which is normally not a big deal at any establishment. But after politely asking them to fix the problem, she gave me a hard time. I agreed, but she got my order wrong again (I was ordering off the menu, not asking for anything special), and this time, I politely asked again for my money back, saying it was getting late and that I needed to get my kids home for bed. She proceeded to yell at me, call me names, and make ageist comments. She told me never to come back. My kids were upset, asking why this woman was insulting her parents. The long: This place is a "by the weight" frozen yogurt and topping place, combined with some fresh made waffles and crepes, and scooped gelato. I got the Reese's, health, and caramel sauce, and all the toppings looked super fresh (see Reese's cups in pic). My wife tried the waffle with salted caramel gelato. I have been going to Sweet Berry for years. I miss the previous owners, but I always appreciate that they accommodate the gluten free community so thoughtfully. The Hong Kong Waffle is made with gluten free batter. Therefore, it cannot be confused with the wheat waffles. The waffle maker is a completely different shape. It is outstanding. I always compare new places with the most authentic frozen yogurt brand, Pink Berry. Unfortunately, sweet berry doesn't level up to that standard. Our third time here and we're total fans. We've had the hazelnut, chocolate, mint chocolate, and mango pineapple gelatos and they're all delicious.
