I didn't realize how hard it is to find rolled ice cream in the area post covid but drove nearly 30 minutes to this spot to try them out! My nephew had never had rolled ice cream before, and I wanted him to get the experience. I ended up with a crepe with ice cream on top. Both my nephew and I thought the ice cream was outstanding! The staff was super patient with him while he placed his order, and they were making sure to put on a show while we watched them make our desserts! The owner was in the store and very pleasant to speak with. He made sure that my nephew enjoyed his experience! There are a few tables for sitting inside and the parking lot is huge.

Ice cream was good and prepared as requested Staff were friendly and helpful. Seating could be better

Decent place, decent ice cream, and a decent Thai iced tea in my opinion. Although I personally think that this establishment would look a lot better if all of the wall art was actually painted on the walls, rather than stickers and wallpaper. Otherwise this could be a very cute place and I think it has the potential to be a very nice spot.

Overall, 4.5/5 but will round up to a 5/5 because it's a cute place and lots of kids seem to have a good time here (saw at least seven kids here in the span of 30 minutes, lol) This place only has rolled ice cream, milkshakes and crepes. So if you want a scoop of ice cream, then this place isn't for you. But you really should try La Moo because it's pretty good! I like that there's a kid size here which is actually a pretty standard size ($5.95). I really liked the "Kiwi Berry" rolled ice cream here (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry syrup toppings) and I was able to add a topping for free upon first check in on Yelp. Graham cracker was a great choice! They pour in liquid vanilla ice cream mixed with a slice of kiwi to let it solidify before rolling it. What you're paying for is definitely the preparation and presentation. I would highly recommend the "Kiwi Berry" if you like something sweet & fruity.

So I was very intrigued by the Yelp reviews. My first time ((tip if it is your first time, read the menu before you get there). I was a bit confused by the options on the wall, kind woman suggested bananas foster so I went with that. They take liquid and freeze it on circular pans creating a thin sheet which they roll up. So it takes time to create (do not go in a rush!). I got a child size $6 and change--so it is pricy. The ice cream has a full creamy feel on the tongue and the rum ice cream flavor was subtle. The bananas were not as ripe as I like (am Latina). But it is very good. MANY young boys came through--as other posters have said it is good for kids. You can watch the process so am sure that appeals to kids. I like the concept and I definitely suggest trying it out. There are many options read before your first trip.

La Moo Creamery always seems bustling--and for good reason. The ice cream is delicious, the service is friendly, and the shop is mindful of pandemic safety. Enter and there is a huge chalk board with recommended ice cream selections. This is rolled ice cream, not scooped or soft serve. So it may not be what you're looking for if you want a really traditional cup with sprinkles. (Real talk: I could buy that in a pint at the supermarket in the same shopping center.) However, if you want a crepe or a milkshake or a slushee or rolled ice cream, this is your spot. Everything is made right in front of you. There is a big selection of add-ins, including boba. (Yes a boba milkshake. Yum!) Everything I've tried has been delicious. Masks are required as of mid-2021. Please don't harass the teens and 20-somethings who work here about wearing a mask. And give them an extra tip! Nice atmosphere and good treats.

This is a good worker her name Ave or something maybe Ava. She made my stuff really quick and she complemented me I gonna stalk her now!

Whenever I drive by this location, I am always amazed at the line through the door. Finally I decided to try it for myself. Now I understand why the line is through the door. This is a u inquest roll on ice cream. The flavors are very creative and unique. This is definitely not your average ice cream parlor. The ice cream is delicious. The flavor is perfect. I highly recommend trying their ice cream.

Came to this place with a couple of friends without knowing what kind of ice cream they sold. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they sold rolled ice cream (which I love) in addition to milkshakes, crepes, and shaved ice. I got the Moocha rolled ice cream (green tea rolled ice cream with strawberries, mochi, and strawberry pocky as toppings) and the portions are pretty big as the kids size was more than enough for me. I also really liked how they included strawberry bits within the green tea rolled ice cream. Would highly recommend trying it out. And the staff was extremely friendly and helped my friends with recommendations on what to order.

If your mission is to find the best ice cream with the freshest ingredients, consider you he visit to La Moo Creamery as "Mission Complete!" Locally owned and operated, La Moo is destined to make Washingtonian's Best Eats. Their ingenious yet simple approach is hand mixed Thai style ice cream. Starting with sweet cream mixed with the ingredients of your choice, then frozen (in a matter of seconds) cream mixture is rolled into soft sweet slices of heaven before being topped with any number of delectable sweets or fruits. If you're a fruit Person like me, I recommend their Kiwi Berry: Fresh Kiwi Ice Cream topped with Strawberries, Blueberries , Raspberries and a light Strawberry sauce. The raspberries and Kiwi are a perfect match. My daughter loved their cookies and cream and Reese's concoctions too :-)s We can't wait to go back!!!

Chelsea is the new boss in town (new owner) and shes on it!! She was super patient in explaining the different options - and suggested mixing my two favs coffee and mint Oreo - delish !! She then made a vegan sugar free pineapple and coconut slushie for my mom and we added boba bubbles and mango bubbles to it- awesome! These babies can take a minute so be patient :). Awesome neighborhood spot!

In terms of drinks, I tried the lavender latte and the tiramisu latte which were delicious and served me well when I needed an evening pick-me-up. And I am pretty sure every macaroon is delicious so you really can't go wrong with the flavors you choose. On separate occasions, I ended up sampling a variety of flavors, including birthday cake, hazelnut pistachio, Earl Grey, coconut, rose, blueberry lavender, and coffee. I truly appreciated how fresh and light each taste was, perfectly reflecting the artistry in the making of these macarons. The service was efficient and friendly, and the display case was a feast for the eyes--full of stunning, mouthwatering desserts. I hope everyone has as wonderful an experience as I did, enjoying both the coffee and the patisserie. Happy desserting to all!

It's rich, creamy, and decadent and tastes like dessert in a cup but isn't overwhelmingly sweet. Next up are the sweet treats and pastries. They are very reasonably priced. They have two types of chocolate croissants: one with an outer chocolate coating and one pain au chocolat. Both were slightly over $3. They also have a milky bread loaf and cakes that I still need to try. The service was quick and the cafe is located in the basement level of ballston shopping center - so it's perfect for grabbing a coffee and a sweet treat before shopping. I would highly recommend this cafe.

The staff is super friendly and the place is quaint but has a handful of tables inside and outside. They justify the high price tag by whipping the ice cream with liquid nitrogen in a mixer. Although cool I didn't think it added much to the experience and was little gimmicky. I tried the cookie dough which was solid and not too sweet. My friend tried one of their seasonal flavors (lavender honey) and it tasted like neither. I think they use the same base for most of their flavors because hers tasted very similar to mine and both were good quality.
