Quaint coffee shop in Arvada, busy when I arrived. The setup to order is not clear, not many coffee options which seemed a little odd( I.e no dark roast options, only light roasts available) so ordered an americano. Americano was incredibly bitter, thus the 2 stars....a coffee shop should deliver better coffee. In contrast, the pastry was great. read more

Two Rivers is serving some wonderful, wonderful coffee! Their lattes are as excellent as the baristas behind the counter. I find myself driving out of my way to spend some there sipping coffee and using their wi-fi. Certainly worth checking out and seeing their new color scheme. In the past, coffee has always given me a stomach ache. The coffee and espresso here is so smooth I'm happily drinking all a want with a happy stomach. The best coffee shop, chains need to watch out. As someone mentioned before, this coffee spot splits your large coffee (20 oz) into smaller ones to help preserve the freshness and heat. What?! I only had chai tea latte here, and it tasted how chai tea tastes. The 5 starts are totally for the atmosphere, decor, and the amazing people who work here. My only complain is that it's all the way out there in Arvada. Wish this place was closer, then I'd go there way more often. Also, guys, why not keep Sunday open as well? read more

I had never experienced coffee like this until I came here. I used to load my coffee up with cream and sugar. Now I know what good coffee tastes like and happily drink it black. The food is also amazing. Donut Saturday is a must. The very best part is the service. The people are so friendly and welcoming. First time here. They did not cringe at my 2 double shots espresso in one cup request. The espresso was served with an awesome amount of crema... I also ordered a savory croissant which was peppery and a little mushy upon reheating. The espresso was served on a tray with a small glass of sparkling water on the side. This is an awesome touch to freshen the palate afterwards..... Brownie points for that added touch! read more

On vacation from phx stopped in to this place. Super stuck up vibe really poor customer service too laid back of an atmosphere. A bunch of employees standing around staring at you while you order which makes for an awkward ordering experience. Ordered a nitro coffee, they were out so got a cold brew and my friend got hers with a pump of vanilla. They didn't add it. No music ambiance was weird and quiet. We sat out side. Tasted our coffee which tasted really burnt. We got a refund and went to Starbucks. Super disappointing for a coffee lover. Wouldn't recommend. read more

This place, the staff, their coffee and espresso is truly the best in metro Denver! I have to drive for 15 mins to get there. Its a candy store for big boy and big girl coffee lovers. I get a little TOO crazy when I am talking about Two Rivers. I have recruited about a million (now-ex) Starbucks regulars to come here and no one has ever been disappointed. Eric (the owner) taught me 90-99% of everything that I know about coffee (as a previous Starbucks barista, that's pretty nuts to admit) and he is definitely passionate about his craft. The drinks are always perfect - the beans are second-to-none and the baristas are all skilled and concerned with quality. The ambiance is relaxed and I always feel at home here. Having a cup of black coffee at Two Rivers is actually a pleasant experience - more like tasting wine than like choking down Folgers or Starbucks just for the caffeine. I hope Two River's customer base continues to grow - they are an incredible company read more

This shop makes the best coffee I've had in the state. Every cup of drip coffee is made fresh when you order it. The skill of their employees is apparent with every espresso drink they make; you may wait a few minutes if they're busy, but the coffee is perfect every time. I'd suggest having a mocha in store. They make their chocolate at the location and serve the drink with a small biscuit. Simply awesome. If you aren't from Arvada, it's worth a trip. read more

The coffee is always great - roasted right there in the back - very fresh and delicious. The decor is a bit too industrial and cramped for me and not enough large tables to spread out - in my opinion. Also I detect a certain Christian vibe and not surprising - they're not open on Sunday. read more

Coffee was okay but it took a long time. I did not like my pastry. I had a large piece of bacon in it but it served at room temperature.

We got the chai tea. It was a little weak and not very warm. The service was quick and very friendly. Will have to try the coffee next time. The shop has a hipster vibe. read more

I've been going here for a while now to work in the mornings. This is one of the very few coffee shops I've been to that appreciates the many varietals of coffee from around the world. There are usually 5-6 different varietals and each cup is made in the Clover machine which makes a wonderful cup of black coffee. It's refreshing to have a coffee shop understand and appreciate fine coffee, much like I'd go to a wine shop and expect them to appreciate and understand the differences of the wines they sell. I am greeted by name when I come in, sometimes after quite a span of time, (it does help that we share a name, but hey, he's welcoming other guests by name as well) In good weather the doors are wide open, the tables are numerous and there's always a few free for work, the coffee is impeccible, and his espresso drinks look beautiful (though that's not my thing so can't comment on taste, but Eric and make one of those sweet patterns in your froth) Ask starbucks to make you a mocha and but a design in the froth instead of a pound of whipped cream and see what happens! read more

The coffee here is worthy enough to give a rating. I'm a big fan of all things coffee and for me to take the time to write about coffee says something. I am rather particular about the entire process of coffee, from the growing of beans, to the roasting, to the type of water used, to the brew method to even the cup the coffee is served in. I've been twice now, on two different occasions and had 3 cups all together. Each time a different cup from their infamous clover machine. Suffice to say I like what I tasted thus far, but I have yet to try out their pour over skills or aeropress skills. I also bought a bag of their roasted coffee to take home and try out. I was able to get a bloom in my pour over that is not easily attained. To get a bloom like that you have to have very freshly roasted beans, which they clearly do! Until I make my way back there a few more times to sample all their other products, services and brew methods I can not in good conscience give a higher rating. That being said, coming from me after only a couple visits, this coffee shop is doing superbly! read more

I have become tired of Starbucks so I felt like supporting a local coffee shop and came across the reviews for Two Rivers. When I entered the shop it was nice, the barista explained the way the coffee was made and how it is digitally controlled, sound very impressive. However, I tried the Novo Colombia and it was very bitter. They poured me another 8oz of the other Colombian and it was exactly the same. I have drank a lot of coffee in my day, and this did not make the cut. I don't know what all the fuss is about this coffee machine called the "Clover". I recently moved to the area and am so happy to have discovered a local coffee shop, rather than giving all of my money (and a portion of my soul) to one of the many Starbucks in the area. Extremely friendly service that helped me pick out the perfect morning beverage. I usually order hazelnut flavored coffee, but was informed that since they make their our syrups, and hazelnut is more complex to make from scratch, they only offered other flavor choices instead. I didn't even mind because I was/am so impressed that they make their own syrups! I went with the sugar free vanilla latte which was delicious! I also tried a lavender biscotti cookie which was, you guessed it, also delicious. There are tables lining the walls, and I was lucky enough to snag one. It did seem like people came in and worked /hung out for a while, so hopefully next time I go (which might be today after I finish writing this post) I will be able to find a spot to sit and enjoy my delicious home brewed coffee! All in all, you definitely need to check this place out! read more

I was thrilled to find this independent, local shop with comfortable decor and friendly staff in an area typically populated with chains. Lots of 2 tops so a good place to work. I don't live in the area but if I did I would go out of my way every week to get some of the great coffee brewin' at Two Rivers. I went twice during my visit last week and both times had the iced coffee. Hands down the best iced coffee I've ever had. Eric explained he uses a special 16 hour cold brewing process and suggested I not get it sweetened as this brings out a natural sweetness in the coffee. Great suggestion and the coffee was the strongest, most rich and full-bodied iced coffee I've had, which can be difficult as the taste usually becomes diluted as the ice melts. The service was knowledgeable and all around awesome and the classy vests the baristas wore were a great touch. Eric obviously takes pride in his coffee and has made this a modern, sophisticated yet comfortable coffee shop perfect for hanging out with friends or catching up on some work. Two Rivers is an Arvada gem and certainly the place to get your caffeine fix! read more

Stopped in after a quick trip to next-door Natural Grocers. Greeted at the door (outside) by a friendly pooch--obviously a regular. Ordered a latte and veg burrito. Latte was perfect, Burrito was fat and delicious ($5.50, a bit more than I'm usually willing to spend on a breakfast burrito.)
