Until today, I've always had a positive experience, which is why I've recommended this place to family and friends. Unfortunately, my interaction with the owner completely changed my opinion. I found her demeanor to be condescending and dismissive, and I was disappointed by the arrogant way I was spoken to. For a family-owned business, I expected the owner to be welcoming and respectful. Because of this interaction, I'll be taking my business elsewhere, such as Sweet Melissa's, and I can no longer recommend this shop to others. It's unfortunate that one experience overshadowed what had previously been many enjoyable visits.

I initially had a banana split about 2 weeks ago. They nailed it so this is my go-to spot when I'm craving one of those. On my second trip of the season I purchased one of their pre-formatted sundaes and wasn't disappointed at all. I had the peanut butter and chocolate one. I highly recommend you try that one! It has layers of chocolate ice cream, peanut butter, and fudge with whipped cream on the top. The service is friendly, and slow to moderate based on the time of day and day of the week. Parking may be a challenge depending on the aforementioned. If it's busy, parking on the street may be preferred.

The patron to my right bemoaned the loss of a thicker broth from a previous recipe, so the bartender brought him some scampi butter which helped apparently. I really loved the light broth and found it soaked into the bread quite nicely. Friendly bartender gal cashed me out at my request before I took my drink on the patio. $30 plus tip, well spent. I could be a regular here, and look forward to another visit to Wilmington next time we are in Philly.
