Been coming here for years. Today I got a mooberry Sunday. So good blueberries, blueberry ice cream, vanilla ice cream on graham crackers with blueberries syrup. Whipped cream and a cherry. I'm not sure why I never thought to review this place before, but it's always been a staple of being in Elkton. Service is always quick and good. Ice cream is always great and they've always played oldies which is cool. I think this place will be around forever. read more

Wow! This is such a little place but wow! It's so worth the stop. We both got a small hand dipped ice cream which was $4 each and it's two large scoops! We were craving something sweet when we happened to pass by this place. I figured ice cream would hit the spot, so I made a u-turn and fishtailed into the parking lot. After getting a picture by the life-size cow out front, we checked out the menu and ventured our way inside. My girlfriend opted for the standard soft serve swirl cone, while I decided to be more adventurous and try something new. I ordered up the Peach Dandy, which was very nice. Very quaint place with lots of delicious options (the gallon-size carton of chocolate milk looked pretty darn good) and cow paraphernalia. The owner (who prepared our order) was very nice and friendly. And while I'm not sorry for what I ordered, I would have preferred something chocolatey, like a milkshake. Then again, I can get that anywhere. And I was craving some chocolate chip ice cream and I didn't see it on the menu as an option (only later did I realize they did have it, but it's labeled "Coco Loco"). If you're in the Elkton area and are looking for a lovely little treat, this is definitely the place to go. And it's great if you have kids, but just know - no climbing on the cow! read more

My partner got a scoop of coconut and one of Mootella ice cream, and loved them both. Excellent stuff here! Fun ice cream shop with lots to choose from. It was pretty busy so the wait was somewhat long but we enjoyed it.

The counter service was fast and friendly. They have a pretty good selection of both fresh ice cream and soft-serve. The portions are very generous, and fairly priced. My large was 4 and a half scoops of frozen flavor! The parking lot is a bit small, but still adequate. Easily accessible for motorcycles and cars alike. They have a couple of tables outside, but not many. I was surprised at how few people were there, though. The only thing I can say negatively about the place is that now I have had a Neil Diamond song stuck in my head for more than a day! read more

OK, I'm a closet Neil Diamond fan but I'm totally out about my love for ice cream so this was a match made in heaven for me. Nice small indoor shop with cold cold AC blasting. Their menu rotates and is listed outside with a side window so you can order both inside and out. Ordered a single cone Salty Cowmel and it was damn good. Glad I beat the rush too. I was the only one there when I walked in and by the time I was done ordering there was a line up out the door. If it's not too hot I suggest sitting outside in one of their few 4 seaters under an umbrella. I dig the oldies music they play but when Blue Moon played on the radio I missed growing up in Michigan with Blue Moon ice cream. All-time favorite ice cream ever! There's also some nice pastoral scenery when you sit outside. From a Google map look this place sits on a huge golf course but you wouldn't notice it from the ground because that course has been over grown for a long time now and is just a nice rolling pastoral land now. I went in with a $5.00 bill and asked, what can I get for this and I mean than included The young trainee was very confused as she tried looking around her store, the owner gone, she was not well trained. Her reply, "a soft pretzel maybe...you could get this and that, but it will cost about $8.00.".I asked her if she could please just give me $5.00 worth of ice cream in a cup.. she thought awhile and 20 minutes later hands me a gum ball sized scoop of now melted ice cream that she laboriously scraped form the ice cream container...no spoon no lid, bag, and 90 degrees outside.
