I ordered the coffee ice cream with Oreo mixed in, and the ice cream itself was good. I visited with two friends and we all ordered a single scoop, but we immediately noticed the scoop sizes were inconsistent. One friend received a noticeably small single scoop, while I was fortunate enough to get a much more generous portion. At the prices Milly's charges, I would expect much more consistency. The biggest downside for me was the customer service. The staff didn't seem interested in interacting with customers, and the overall experience felt transactional rather than welcoming. That's disappointing because my family recently moved to the area, and this could have easily become a regular spot for us. Earlier in the week, I visited Kreamium Frozen Custard, and the experience couldn't have been more different. The owner greeted us warmly, welcomed my family to the area, offered local recommendations, and took the time to explain all of the different frozen custard flavors. It made the visit feel personal and memorable. Overall, I'd give Milly's Ice Cream a 3/5. The ice cream tastes good, but the inflated pricing, inconsistent scoop sizes, and lackluster customer service make it hard for me to recommend over Kreamium. If you're looking for a dessert spot with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere, I'd recommend giving Kreamium Frozen Custard a try instead.

First thing you should know is that this is not Baskin-Robbins and you should not expect 33 flavors. Instead, expect a dozen or so house-made and curated flavors. Of course there are your standard flavors like Vanilla Bean and Chocolate. But then you have flavors like Lavender Lemon and Salted Caramel Oreo. Prices are reasonable for island pricing ($5for a single scoop). I went with a single scoop of MCC (mint chocolate chip) on a CHOCOLATE waffle cone. The ice cream was smooth with a healthy amount of chocolate chips and the chocolate cone paired nicely. In addition to the indoor seating, there is also ohtdoor seating that is shared by Larry's Deli-Q. I'm really just deducting a star for not having a menu board where the daily flavors are currently posted. Instead, you have to either lurk in between the tables or you wait until you get to the counter (no pressure). This is a solid spot for ice cream and I would drive down again the next time I'm in town.

The vibe here is so much fun, featuring a whimsical layout with beautiful paintings on the walls that all have playful gelato-themed accents. I'm not sure which I like the best, but maybe the Mona Lisa or American Gothic. For seating, they have unique stools made from upcycled Vespa motor scooters, alongside traditional tables and chairs. The gelato and waffle cones are manufactured directly in Turin, Italy. There are 40 flavors, but they rotate regularly, so not all are available at the same time. Samples are provided before you order. I am still trying to time my visits just right for the cinnamon! Besides their premium gelato, they offer fruit sorbets, shakes, and specialty cakes, as well as coffee if you are just looking for a warm beverage. On my last visit, I ordered two scoops--one of vanilla and one of chocolate hazelnut--and it was delicious as always. Just a helpful heads-up that the actual utensils they give you to eat your cup with are those very small, traditional-tasting spoons rather than standard ice cream spoons! Gelarto does have an exceptionally clean restroom available for customers, though you will need to ask the staff for the security keypad code to get inside. Maybe cinnamon will be available in October, as it is an autumn flavor.
